tbh the problem with there being a deadnaught in atmo at the time are the following points if you read the wiki entris about the ship
1) its decks are not arranged top to bottom. alliance dreadnaughts are arranged so the front is the top deck and the aft is bottom of the ship.
2) alliance dreadnaughts cut gravity during combat to redirect the extra power to weapons etc
now taking thouse things into consideration it would be a logistical nightmare for the crew of said ship to operate under thouse conditions,
the deck design alone shows that she ship was never intended to go amto
also the ship would be a sitting duck. like a large battleship stuck in shallow waters.

What about the Collector ship? That was pretty freaking big and it landed on numerous planets. No one complains about that.
collector tech is based on reaper tech so it was never a stretch to allow that to land. but even that strugled to get airborne again without the assisance of what appeared to be a large booster engine.
sovereign in me1 literaly just floats off

Don't remember him 'floating' off. I remember him igniting an engine so intense that he glassed the earth beneath him.

It is but its simply attempting to draw the Reaper's fire. At least that is what I got from it. Its likely that there are more high ranking military officials and civillians being evacuated in the area. Like I said before it seems similar to the HMS Thunderchild in War of the Worlds. The only difference is that this one didn't have any chance at winning.SNascimento wrote...
And by doind that it's neglecting all its strength... it's like an aircraft carrier going to war without any planes.

I made a comment about that some time ago. I think Ashley was wrong in the demo. From what I saw, it looked like the decks were not arranged like a dreadnought. It was probably a cruiser. :-P
you do realise you cant tell how the decks are arranged ? lol, unless you can use xray vision :V
such one demensional thinking

Or Ashley meant the Alliance cruiser was trying to take down that Reaper dreadnought.Tony_Knightcrawler wrote...
