The kitten joke came from people thinking Vega is a grunt and has a "brutish" personality, so fans decided that he likes cats, b/c really, who doesn't like cats?

And then it expanded.

Lost Tali to a quick jump of a high cliff playing blind on 1:st FemShep. I never reload, play it like it comes and if things go bad then that's that. It's part of life.

In the bar with Vega I fumbled the renegade-interrupt when getting a drink for the soldiers... I reloaded. Gah... I like that guy faaaaar to much.... just wish we could get him as a LI.

I think I read somewhere in a PAX thread it is because of military rules and that James take his military career very seriously. Possible that this was only a excuse for the non romance. At the end it all comes down to limited ressources.

All this "it is against military regs" as explanation is so stupid - no one knows if they will win the fight against the reapers and every day could be the last. I doubt that there would be a military tribunal against Shepard and James after saving the galaxy for having a relationship....

I'll also throw in my tuppence on the fanfics, I've been engrossed in them the past few days, and they are indeed smutty, which is brilliant. Love it.

I'm a diehard Kaidan/FemShep fan but in an alternate universe I think she'd be drawn to James too, he's exactlyt the kind of person I think she'd go for and I'd definitely do a playthrough minus Kaidan just to see a James romance.

Signed the petition too, IMO they missed an opportunity not doing a Vega/FemShep full romance, I loved all the flirting and would have loved to see it "consummated" lol. I will content myself with those wonderful fanfics in the meantime though.
