The dialogue for romancing Vega for FemShep has been heavily alluded to in the early leaked script from a few months ago.  But interestingly, there still has not been any concrete evidence shown yet to prove that he will be an LI.  The most that is shown through the dialogue is some light flirting with FShep, which led many to believe that he is straight, and therefore would not be availiable for MShep.

But there is still hope, because upon looking at the entire script, it is important to note that all of the other returning LI's from ME1 and ME2 have at least some confirmation of romance, yet Vega's dialoge is mysteriously vague in terms of any sort romantic progression for either MShep or FShep. So this insight leads me to believe that, at least in the beta script, Vega's full dialogue script had not been completed at that time.  So, don't lose hope. I think Bioware still has some tricks up their sleeves and there is still definately a good chance that Vega will be a love interest, not only for FShep but also MShep.

I'd be surprised if he isn't a o/s romance option. Very surprised. Fem Shep has nobody guaranteed to be alive for o/s LI at this point. I seriously doubt BW wouldn't give her a new o/s option just in case the male o/s LIs are dead in that playthrough.

This ^^ Femsheps o/s romances can all be dead. I doubt they would only leave us with only Liara if we have killed all our o/s men so far.

I really hope he is a love interest though! He has one of those awesome goofy but headstrong personalities I personally find attractive and I will be pretty let down if he isn't a love interest.

I saw that picture on tumblr just a few minutes before I made my daily check up on this thread and that is a hot picture! I think someone needs to make a mod to make Vega shirtless in that sparring scene.

I knew he wouldn't tell me but figured if I enticed him with some cake he would at least answer my tweet. I like how he said that romances would be more organic this time around. I am intrigued about that, I guess more relationship build up this time around and not just 3 conversations and "wanna do it because we might die tomorrow" scenarios.

I wanna get into a fight with James Vega sooooo bad. And i ain't talking about that little sparring match. I want to get into a horrible horrible fist flying brawl with Vega that will end up trashing the inside of the Normandy. Not because i hate the dude, but i know my story will be complete if whatever reason, Vega and Shepard just started beating the crap outta each other in the Normandy.

This is great news, I know it's not a confirmation but it makes me very optimistic. It sounds like romances in ME3 might work more like Alistair's romance in DA:O. It started as respect, moved to friendship, then love over the course of the whole game. It wasn't just a few short dialogues, then a quickie before the final mission. This is what I'm hoping for, romances always felt so abrupt to me in both ME1 and 2.

Yeah, if there´s an option to tell Kelly you are with him, it´s pretty much confirmed then.
Also, i like your avatar. And you are not the first one i tell that to.
Seems like suddenly everybody got amazing avatars.

And mine is still an ugly husk.
Cause i´m too lazy to make a custom one with Origins CC.

Oh and i like Vega and wish that he´s an S/S love interest for my bi-sexual Shepard.

Untrue about the romance progression. He has an ending scene before the final battle that shows a relationship has happened between the two while together on the ship.

I don't know how to do the color thing in the forums but if you go on Dana's blog and go towards the end part of James Vega's stuff the third dialogue bunch before Thane it shows progression. Then again in that part he only mentions Lola not Loco

Also the VO director in a tweet the other day while reviewing Freddie Prince Jr.'s dialogue said that it made her blush listening to it so take it as you will.

I guess the only thing we can do now is wait.

I think it's pretty safe to say he will be romanceable for females.

Males ... not so much, I haven't read the script but I've heard he makes quite a few comments about attractive women.

Hi everyone.

I've just popped in to say that I'm starting to actually like the idea of Vega. That brief little scene he was in in the demo has me totally hooked and about to swoon (yes, I used the word swoon), even if in my headcanon femshep was wailing into him in the trailer because he was not Thane. Convoluted backstory there, but yeah, that was about the jist of it.

I will really like it if he would be a LI for both M and F Shep. I have a couple of bi pt's who would love for him to sweep them off their feet.
