Attention James fans!


The Romance DLC Survey ends today at 3pm EST.  Yesterday we were sitting  at whopping 7,500 responses! We're trying to get as close to 10K as we can!

If you haven't yet taken it, and are interested, PLEASE pop over there and take the survey (see link in my sig).  It will only take 5 minutes of your time...unless you like to make comments.

Results will be analyzed statistically, summarized into a report, and sent to Bioware.  If you want to be heard on this issue, this is the best way to do it!

Yep. Read it, and I agree. There's not as much flaming as I thought going on over there though.

I know, I'm kinda disappointed, to be honest. No one is really banging on anything I said at all, they're just complaining about Bioware for not letting them recruit past crew members. I don't really see how that's James' fault.

Because "He took the spot of [name of favorite ME2 LI here]!!!" I hate that reason. It's so lame. He's a great character who gets flack because character X isn't in the squad. Haters just like taking their frustrations out on him.

I can't see how he took anyboday's place at all. Even if Bioware said that he did, which I don't think is true, well, they've said one thing and done another before. Their reasoning is not known to us mere mortals. Blaming it on the new guy is childish bullying.

Although I agree that there was no proper introduction for him. He's just there. It took a few missions before I warmed up to him. Looks aside, of course.

I think that's probably the major problem though, that there was no introduction or kind of lead up to him, no backstory we can find out out about in game. Also, I can't remember but is there actually any mention in game about him guarding Shepard and that's why they know each other???? I just think that if they included some more content with him ie a mission for him, it would give people a chance to get to know him better.

That's just one of the issues I had with the poor intro. You felt like you were SUPPOSED to know who James was because he's the first character to talk to shepard. They could of easily dropped a line there to explain that he was shep's guard (didn't realize that for ages). I really think the intro needed a "slow" moment for us to get to know vega . Where you could walk around and talk to people to get a feel of the situation.

Voted in that poll. Pleasantly surprised by the results. I haven't poked my head in here before, but I always liked Vega. He had a fun personality, was useful on missions, and added a surprising amount of character. I also liked having a representative of the "regular" human soldiers since I'm not sure Kaidan or Shep counted by that point as anything near "regular".
