I don't know how to do the color thing in the forums but if you go on Dana's blog and go towards the end part of James Vega's stuff the third dialogue bunch before Thane it shows progression. Then again in that part he only mentions Lola not Loco

I wouldn't trust Dana's blog. She puts lines together that are actually separate, and makes assumptions.
It's better to read the script yourself.

I think that was mainly marketing.  

What did the fans want to see?--FemShep being awesome.
How do you do that?-- By showing her beating up a guy twice her size.

The scene where Vega is putting the smack-down on MShep is the Vega Reveal/Voice Cast Reveal video.
Ergo, Vega putting the beat-down on the iconic MShepard is instant grounds for badassery in the 1st degree.

The dialogue for romancing Vega for FemShep has been heavily alluded to in the early leaked script from a few months ago.  But interestingly, there still has not been any concrete evidence shown yet to prove that he will be an LI.  The most that is shown through the dialogue is some light flirting with FShep, which led many to believe that he is straight, and therefore would not be availiable for MShep.

But there is still hope, because upon looking at the entire script, it is important to note that all of the other returning LI's from ME1 and ME2 have at least some confirmation of romance, yet Vega's dialoge is mysteriously vague in terms of any sort romantic progression for either MShep or FShep. So this insight leads me to believe that, at least in the beta script, Vega's full dialogue script had not been completed at that time.  So, don't lose hope. I think Bioware still has some tricks up their sleeves and there is still definately a good chance that Vega will be a love interest, not only for FShep but also MShep.

So apparently this is coming from a reliable source? Perhaps said source hasnt made it far enough through the relationship with Vega to warrant a romance? Remember Miranda? she brushes shep off at first but then gives into feelings, maybe there will still be the slightest chance Vega will be a romance option? We dont know what gender the source was playing, maybe he just brushes off manshep?

Why would bioware go through all those lengths to make Vega the way he is and NOT make him an LI??? It's a massive slap in the face to the fans who have supported him from his introduction. It's Like dangling a steak just out of reach of a hungry wolf and teasing it with it! ugh ...
