Not speaking for the actual content of the animations themselves, but I like that they've whipped up separate animations at all. Maybe I can hope for less awkward clipping situations now.

I would assume it has a lot to do with the Mo-Cap Actors. I doubt *if they used two actors and one was a female* they would want to risk sexual harassment. It could have been done to prevent hate from the media, considered Mass Effect had that fox news issue. I think the first is the most plausible.

Although I was I little weirded out when he went for a belly rub on my Female Shepard. In the end though it's not the biggest of deals.
