 I had a thought so tell me if it is a good one.  I thought why not have the races we use in multiplayer be unlocked by gaining said race as an ally in the single player game.  Once they are gained your system data will unlock the race in multiplayer.  It would be better and make more sense than unlocking a race by leveling up i think.

I'm pretty sure it isn't, you unlock new races by playing multiplayer I believer.
