So, we all know about Miranda vs. Jack and Tali vs. Legion.

Audio clips have been found where there was originally going to be a dispute between Mordin and Grunt.

Do you think there was a plan to have every squadmate get into an argument with another one?

The opportunity is kind of there.

What makes me think this is how Jacob reacts so overly suspiciously when Thane joins the crew. I feel like there was an intended bit of friction there that never came to anything, but might have originally been intended to. (God my grammar is terrible, but bear with me).

Other options: Samara could've had a dispute with any of the remaining three squadmates (Garrus, Zaeed, or Kasumi). Garrus could've had a problem with Zaeed (as a former Blue Suns member) or Kasumi (she's a thief... maybe she stole something when he worked for C-Sec).

Just spitballing here... thoughts?

I think it would be too formulaic to always have "squadmate rival" pairs like that. If that was the original intention, I'm glad they didn't go through with it.

I always wondered about a Thane/Jacob argument. But like Swordfishtrombone (love the username, btw), I think they probably figured it would just be too formulaic.

Besides, if they did have that argument as well as the Mordin/Grunt one, it would just leave behind Samara and Garrus to have an argument, and honestly, I'd say their opinions align pretty nicely on what you do to criminals.
