Note: the BF3 early access only starts when the demo is fully public. The early demo access that happened this weekend is different, but if you were one of the people who got in on that, AND you have BF3 online pass, you can get into MP.

Can you give us an ETA for the demo release?

Which platform do you have in mind? They all differ (based on how they prop their content)

Hey guys, it's definitely confusing in this transition from preview demo to full demo:

1) so far the only publicly announced way to play MP early is to have BF3 online pass
2) the only publicly accessible demo right now is the 360 early access one. If you have item (1), you can play MP on Xbox right now but may have trouble finding other players
3) the publicly accessible demo goes live at various times after midnight PST tonight (ie not likely earlier than that). Once you download the demo on your platform, you can play MP provided you have item (1) above
4) we hope to announce another way to get in there and start playing MP....

To get the demo now, you would need to have gotten your hands on a the codes this weekend that granted a sneak preview of the 360 demo - that's all there is until the demo goes public.

PC demo likely not online until tomorrow am sometime (PST)
360 could be as early as midnight PST
PS3 likely not until late afternoon tomorrow (I know, I know...but we don't control their deployment timing on first party networks).

PS - I know a lot of people wont see this, but please don't PM me I'm not monitoring those.

You'll need to sign in to www.masseffect.com to get your early access. There was no code in the blanket given with BF3.

Did we give out a whole blanket with those? I never approved that!

I have preview demo, do I need to redownload full demo on the 14th. Are there any differenced between them?

No, you shouldn't have to.

Someone asked about the fact they have BF3 online pass for PC, and the early demo from the weekend on Xbox. I can't recall if that unlock is platform specific, I would give it a shot.

I'm not 100 % sure, but I believe you should automatically have access to the Multiplayer part of the demo from tomorrow as long as you use the Origin account that your BattleField 3 game is linked to.

ya, I finally found out what EA account my GT is linked to. I am just wondering if it will be on the marketplace or what. Guess I'll find out tomorrow. See, I was mistaken and thought that they started the BF3 access earlier than tomorrow. 

Yep should pop up on marketplace late tonight (after midnight PST).

What exactly does this involve - is there a form somewhere? The only sign up/login I can see on masseffect.com is the Newsletter sign up form...

I think this statement might be confusing.

Technically it's connected to your EA Origin account. So

when you log into the demo MP, you use the same EA Origin account as the one attached to your BF3 online pass. When you do that, MP will be selectable on the main menu. No codes to enter.

Here's some answers to some of the questions I saw:

- note there are more enemy types in full game MP. Demo is only Cerberus for now.
- you can customize your character appearance, powers - you slowly unlock the ability to customize your appearance more and more.
- weapon benches are in there yes.
- you can also equip 3 equipment slots for things like ammo, self-rez stuff like that
- im not sure what the difference is between the MP and SP powers (if anything)
- there are 3 difficulty settings for a match: bronze/silver/gold and they get a LOT harder past bronze from what I hear

A suggestion... if one player has a fast firing automatic weapon, you can keep the Phantom's evading constantly (locking her down a bit) while another player lines up some powers, or grenades for a kill.

... or you could always break her sword...
