The reason why i **** about this because if this turns out to be good, then that means multiplayer has more of a focus in the future, and it also means that Bioware can add on another tacky multiplayer mode with more colours and explosions.

I hope this fails, because then it shows that adding multiplayer does not always make the game a success and instantly cool.

Seriously, every company is doing this just because it's the new craze, multiplayer is just being added on just for the hell of it.

This adding multiplayer is killing single player games. That is why I am so pissed off, if Bioware knows they can get away with it, then they will continue to keep doing it.

And if multiplayer gets a signifcant focus in the future, the single player content and quality will slowly diminish.

We also have ****tards complaining that the story is too complicated and so Bioware focus more on them than us original fans, gaming is falling apart.

Wooooow. This has got to be the saddest post I've ever seen on BSN. Please tell me you're trolling...

What about the supposed "Early Access Form" for those people who didn't buy BF3 that was SUPPOSE to be up and running on the 7th, that Chris said was down with no ETA?

What about that?

So I was very skeptical about multiplayer being added to one of my more favorite series. I thought it would ruin the game. I was wrong. I very much enjoy this. I, however, dislike the people who are playing with no mics!!!! GRRRRR. Granted I know the multiplayer is barely out and only to a few people but come on no one talks??? Well If you have a mic and want to play hit me up I'm on right now. GT: Lil Ticka Buddy

The guys who did the MP can make MP DLC, the main team can continue on making story DLC, problem solved.

Unfortunatly, Bioware is not the first and will not be the last. If every other RPG developer saw this and it succeeds, then they think they can get away with it.

If a bully robs your money and you don't fight back, they think they can continue to do it as you won't do anything to stop. it.

Every ****ing developer believes that adding multiplayer makes their game 'great'. Are developers unsure theirs games are not good enough?

This just makes me sick.

Only time will tell, my grumpy friend.

Oh, and on-topic, the MP is indeed a lot of fun. After succeeding a mission I had to force myself to quit because I know I'll lose all my unlocked stuff when the full game comes out. Even though it was only bronze, my first victory was sweet. You do level up fast, though. I got over 100,000XP for that success and leveled up twice.

- The MP is fairly basic, but undeniably Mass Effect. It was just like the SP, but with smarter squadmates, lol. Moments like me hitting a Guardian with Throw (no Pull, Sentinel) and knocking him off balance, another squadmate nailed him with a Concussion Shot. It felt damn good.

Your blind if you don't see it, adding multiplayer has been so common recently.

It's not a 'feature' it's a cheap tool that unfortunatly works.

It's guaranteed hat every game from EA will have multiplayer, no matter how stupid and crap it is. Or, just do what Bioware did and add a cheap knock-off horde.

Dead Space 2 did this and it's a ghost town.

You are wrong. If they abandon the RPG part, they will compete with a whole other market. Then their titles wont be RPG, it will be action. And Bioware isn't stupid enough to abandon their roots just so they can challange Halo/Gears of War etc for the throne. Because they will fall short to those titles.

By doing this however [having one studio do multiplayer and another singeplayer] they are adding to their audience without sacrificing their original fanbase.

Well, perhaps they will lose pointless haters like yourself, but I think that's an acceptable loss.

Some games that focus on gunplay actually benefit with multiplayer and make the overall experience better.

Gears of War, Killzone, Halo, Resistance and Call of Duty actually focus on gameplay and shooting elements therefore multiplayer actually suits it.

But Dead Space? Mass Effect? Darkness 2, Bioshock2 and God damn Dragon Age 3 (according to rumours)?

If people have fun with multiplayer, then it's not really tacked-on, is it?

Just because the perfect game you created in your head doesn't exist doesn't mean that you have to get all mad about it.

Maybe Bioware can do both?

Just sayin...

Because if they do both and succeed, then Bioware think they can get away with it in the future, adding tacked on multiplayer bevause it's 'cool'.

So if they can do both well enough to satisfy both sides they shouldn't just because...you want to be a hipster.

Makes sense.

as a hipster mayself I am offended!

I respect that you have no outright called me a troll, and the fact that your giving your own opinion must mean that you know where i am coming from right?

Surely I am not the only person who sees this?

Multiplayer is not an amazing new feature like it ws before.

OK, now to be fair, I can absolutely see your point. But honestly, I think you are reading WAAAAAY too much into this. Sure, you could turn out to be right, but there appears to be just as much evidence for that as for any other outcome. The only thing that CAN be done at this point is lean back and see where it goes. If it works and people enjoy it, why on Earth not go with it?

In short: "Relax, Minos, you're going to give yourself an ulcer."

Hey, Minos, if a feature is considered by many to be great fun, then it can hardly be considered tacky, right? I don't think Bioware is "getting away" with anything.

I was at level 6 when I stopped. I don't know if we can max it out in the demo or not. I'll probably play more, though. It is a lot of fun. It's better for practicing with you favorite classes because we can customize our loadouts and really see how our favorite classes play. For instance, how does a Sentinel play when he doesn't have 300 lbs. of weapons on his back.

It's not the fact that people enjoy it, it's that fact that every developer has to add some kind of multiplayer feature THINKING that it will make their game instantly great with perfect scores.
