The blame for this lies squarely on the shoulders of Bioware. They are a lazy developer, and do not optimize gameplay or features for the strengths of each platform unlike other AAA developers. They tend to focus only on one platform it seems, at the expense of others..
It's a recurrent problem with them, and unless we do something drastic, they aren't likely to change their ways.
This, the only decent PC interface in this franchise was Mass Effect 1, where they outsourced it, it's got nothing to do with big companies (well EA does seem to look less than favourably upon the PC but saying this is due to them being a big company is downright wrong, if anything it's just bad management), just with adequate support. Eidos and Square have proven they could do so quite recently with Deus Ex, so why can't EA and Bioware show the same amount of consideration towards PC gamers.
Honestly, maybe, we should petition EA to outsource the PC port of the next few Bioware games again, at least that one led to a playable result.

The Origin boycott won't help this.
True but it looks like Origin will probably fail in the end though.
While it's true, I, personally can barely tolerate Steam either, EA has got to realize their Origin service is an underdog in the marketplace, if they actually want to try and compete with things like Steam and GOG, they've got to act like the new kid on the block, and try to lure the customer with things, like attractive deals, good support and service and open and honest communication about what data, they collect, why they need or want to collect it and what they actually plan to do with it. Trying to strongarm your customers only creates ill will towards you and isn't a wise tactic in a competitive marketplace where you are just entering and trying to compete with the giants like Steam and Facebook, and all the other smaller digital distribution services.

HighRes textures would be a nice add-on for people who can use it on their PC rigs. But if they made a mod tool instead to edit characters textures ourselves that would be a nice alterative. But I highly doubt it will happen.

It is too soon to say there wont be a high res texture pack, however I would like to know if EA/Bioware even intend to provide that.
From what some devs said the other problems have been fixed for ME3, so I guess there is a 50/50 chance.
No reason for that, just like the old republic they should be in there, simple as that, if your 4 year old Dell can't handle it make an option to turn them off, there is NO reason not to have proper PC options.

Why? Cos BioWare does not care enough to make a proper PC user interface. Simple as that. It would cost money and apparently, it is not worth the investement according to BioWare.
Your right they don't care. As for getting paid for it your wrong. PC pay a $10.00 fee to some one. And if PC sells 150k copies wouldn't that mean made 1.5mill extra for what crappy interface.

I would pay for an hd texture pack. Straight up. I wouldn't enjoy doing it, in fact it would make me feel sick, but if it came down to that I would do it.
Same, for me, even though it galls me to no end I've already said, that I would even be willing to pay the amount they charge for the typical armour or weapon DLC pack just for the ability to have proper keyboard shortcuts and being able to holster my weapon and again for the high res texture pack, if that's what it takes to get EA's greedy ass in gear.

Seriously, even if they didn't create any modding tools or even a high texture pack would it really be that difficult to actually let us use the keyboard and the mouse properly in the game? Really?

ME3 will definitely be a great game no doubt, with an interesting storyline, great characters and awesome gameplay.
But I cannot give my full support to a developer that is as lazy as Bioware. Bioware is not a AAA developer, because they always fall short in the same areas every single time, and they don't seem to care about addressing the issues.
So I'm not paying 79.99 for the digital deluxe version. I'll wait a few months till it drops down to 40 bucks or so, then I'll buy it.

Unless they don't give two craps about multiplayer and simply leave the game as shovelware and move on, which I hope not..

The ONLY potential saving grace is that ME3 has multiplayer, and with multiplayer comes quite a few patches for quite a number of months. That means a better chance for us to get SP patches for certain features if the multiplayer community makes enough waves about it concerning their mode (no hi res textures, bad keyboard support etc).
Unless they don't give two craps about multiplayer and simply leave the game as shovelware and move on, which I hope not..
I'm sure MP will see minor fixes and then map & character packs for $10.

I fear your right, but I hold out hope that other issues will be addressed along with simple balance fixes for MP.. I can dream can't I?

Unless they've lied to us, saying that things would be the same as ME2 when they have actually improved, then there is no reason to wait the demo, it wont change the facts.
And like it was said in the OP, if enter just to post "quit whining", then plz don't, this only leads to topics getting closed.

Ignorant post. How about you pay attention.
Besides, almost every post on the BSN can be classified as "whining". I would consider this constructive feedback and fans asking for features.

Tali, Jack's tattoos, Garrus and Miranda were HUGE benefactors of the High Res Texmod mod. Default is almost unplayable!
