If consoles can't handle it, they won't even bother.

Unfortunately, that is the truth.

I can't imagine some of this crap is hard to do either. The shortcuts in particular. It's mindboggling.

OK, I prefer high res textures maded by the original developers, since is their views on the graphics and is nice to see what they think.
If there's a tool later for modders do it by themselves, OK, no problem.

But the lack of shortcuts and proper mouse configuration is ANNOYING, really annoying.

Can't you program your mouse with key combinations/assignments? I mean yeah it isn't full custimization but at least you can assign some button on your mouse to do some key from the keyboard and then customize it that way.

I know I can do that on my cheapo Logitech wired mouse.

Ignorant post.  How about you pay attention.

Besides, almost every post on the BSN can be classified as "whining".  I would consider this constructive feedback and fans asking for features.

How is it ignorant? All the guy said was to wait until the demo comes out to start getting upset, it's not an unreasonable request. Sure he could have phrased it better but come one guys, respectful communication is a two way street.

Mostly because they said they haven't changed the keyboard + mouse support from ME2 and so it would seem odd if the other things weren't out.

Don't quite know.
I remember a twitter message from a dev being quoted in some thread. It was mostly about there not being any new shortkeys, but the gist of it was that we shouldn't expect any tweaks to PC controls.

That "Advantage of modern PC hardware" & what BioWare thinks about this issue you can see by reading recommended PC specifications. Simply put they're obsolete now. Specs that even 2 years old PC can run without any problems.

Recommended System Requirements[/b]* OS: Windows XP SP3, Vista or Windows 7
* CPU: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (equivalent AMD CPU)
* RAM: 2GB for XP / 4GB RAM for Vista/Win 7
* HDD: 15 GB free disk space
* Graphics: 512 MB graphics memory
* Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
* DirectX: Version 9.0c

:( :? :o :o  :pinched:  :crying:

Better configuration has my father in his room and he uses it for HAM radio, surfing WWW and similar simple stuff.

I'm sad.Very sad.

I hope they take advantage of really old PC hardware.

I'm kind of confused, they don't take advantage of a keyboard, yet controllers are not supported?

Oh it takes advantage of the keyboard. It just doesn't take FULL advantage of the keyboard.

I mean, the thing has better keyboard support than Metro 2033 AND better graphics support with more options if it has what they say it has.

Metro looks unquestionably better than ME2, but at the same time ME2 for PC doesn't look nearly as bad as on console.

I guess as a PC/console gamer I just have different tastes than the rest of the people here. I think textures are important, but I find AA and good lighting to be more important. The absolute best looking game I've played to date is definitely STALKER: CoP with the Complete mod installed. It didn't have as good of textures as Metro, but that lighting more than made up for it.

I can understand that high res maybe takes some more work and for me its also not that important, but why the hell they don't put shortcuts in the game I simply don't understand. It seems such an easy thing to me to implent and I really enjoyed it a lot in me1. In the end also me2 was a lot of fun, so me3 will, but for the pc controls its simply not a polished game...

I doubt they're going to do any of this, but I'm going to add my support anyway to show how disappointed I am with their PC releases. They half-ass the ports and then have somebody make a super nice post saying "We DO care guys we just can't say how!" without any substance. Actions speak louder than words. High res pack for DA2 was a nice step, but that whole game was like...10 steps back (and lol DX11).

You would not believe how mind boglingly lazy the devs can be ;D or as some say it "cost efficient" there have been a couple of examples of how to do a proper console port to PC lately, i would be surprised to see bioware not do it. for example one of the better ones being borderlands, sure it had its kinks, but nothing you could not modify, like the controls, i shudder to think but borderlands may have been one of the last games with fully customizable controls on a game ported from console version. unless ME3 changes that. Honestly, i hope it does, If i see the quality of the game suffer alot due to being ported from a console base, ME3 might end up being the last Bioware or EA game me and about 20 or so people i know have been supporting this series so far, will buy, unless its utterly cheap like 5-10€ on a carbage bin sale. But yeah, i hope they pull through with this one, i was also a bit baffled at their control scheme on ME2 when it came out.

I have take hat off for BW on one control decision though. having interact and sprint on same key simplifies things, as you cant do both at the same time anyway :D

it's clear the 360 is the benchmark for their QA when a game goes multiplatform.

Someone else answered but, it is indeed ignorant.  This forum is full of people requesting and/or commenting on game features, gameplay mechanics, multiplayer, story decisions, love interests (same sex or hetro), etc.  PC gamers asking about standard PC features missing or requesting comments on graphics is no different.  And, it isn't "whining."

Too often, I see these threads devolve into childish platform wars and it is just IGNORANT.  Especially when MOST PC gamers also own consoles!  I wish people would stop trying to demean valid questions in such a dismissive way.

And, I am sorry, if someone wants to call me a whiner...they can put on their big boy undies and accept proper feedback on that stance.  That IS respectful.

If that's what it takes to get a playable interface for once, I'm all for it.
We already had to with ME1 and that was the only title in this franchise to show any consideration to PC gamers whatsoever.

I'm afraid ME1 will remain one and only in franchise more-or-less normal PC "port". But thanks we don't have Resident Evil 4 or Onimusha 3, yeah. Image IPB

And it's not like the PC is some forgettable, tiny market for EA either.

The game will likely sell 2 million+ units on PC. If at least 50% of those are digital copies (and they will be) that would be equivalent to selling 4 million+ console units in terms of profit for EA (digital units sold directly by Ea are almost pure profit vs a console retail unit). The consoles combined will likely only sell 2-4 million more than that. And moreover in 2 years no one on consoles will be buying ME3 - at least not enough for EA to see any income... but on PC, with sales and digital distribution, they will likely still see thousands selling for years to come. Is this relaly not worth a couple of devs working on a proper PC interface, on a proper game pad option for the PC and some texture work (given that I'm sure Bio already has higher quality assets from development)?

Is that really too much to ask?

I wander if the devs have even heard of Jean Luc. I mean if one person can do all that work then why can't a team of devs do it. And if ME3 has gone back to its RPG roots then why can't we get keyboard shorcuts. Every other RPG I know of has them: DA1+2, The Witcher, KOTOR, Dues Ex, Skyrim ect.

Come on devs, we aren't asking for a lot, just give us some loving :D

Answer, EA/Bioware obviously doesn't give a flying F about the PC community, between Origin and lack of near essential features/functionality, I'd like someone say they did care.
