Man, a Krogan Vanguard charging at us. That's a scary thought.

I agree that while some race restrictions make sense, others don't. Obviously humans can be any class because Shepard is just as easily capable, but we've seen one or two Krogan scientists and engineers (in the career sense, not the game mechanic) that could be any of the technical classes or even a Vanguard. Turians should be capable of the technical as well and the Drell and Asari I can't see being restricted.

In fact, Quarians are the only ones who's restrictions actually make sense, Krogan coming a very close second if not for a couple of exceptions.

it's a demo, chances are they will use it to collect data on classes and patch it in the first few weeks

Unlocking is a bit weird but, we will have to see how things play out in the full game
