Here in Finland games are mostly released on fridays, but games from EA on thursdays. So 8th it is and I am not complaining

Yeah? And my buddy, game journalist, told me it will be March 7. And he told me he was told that by Bioware/EA stuff at press-orgy of ME3 playing. Where is the truth? Don't even think to asnwer "out there"!

I've also been told the 8th for Norway - hopefully my retailer will ship it a few days earlier so I can get started asap - if it doesn't turn up on the 8th, I may have to head to a local retailer for a copy of the standard edition....(got the CE on order)....with a whole universe to save I need to get started as soon as possible

Think of it this way, while you guys get it later you also get to play it all through the weekend while over here we have to balance it with the work week.

@Luc0s: I also live in the Netherlands, I preordered it on Origin. I've preordered games before, mainly through bol.com. I know for a fact that they get their stock on like the 8th and put it in the mail to you right away so that it will be in you mail box on the 9th. So far, Origin still marks the release as the 9th. Hopefully it will be sooner.

Mostly because they ship it early so there won't be any hassle with the mail.

Just use VPN when the first Origin region unlocks the game. I.e Korea. EA don't mind.

Actually, I ordered the CE through the EA newsletter and got an email from EA themselves that i could get in on 8 march at my retailer... of course being able to get the hardcopy edition and being able to play it that same day is a whole different matter.

I also got DA2 a day early but was not able to play it before midnight

This is typical of Britain ( Not only have we probably paid more for our copies than anywhere else (sadly we are known as rip-off britain! ( ) but we are also looking like being the last to get them too (

Still, if all goes according to my pre-order details then I'll receive my CE by Friday lunchtime and will be able to install it on my laptop whilst I'm at work. I work in IT and always have my own computer with me so I can just let Origin do its thing whilst I get on with my job. And then, hopefully I'll be all set up and ready to play the game straight  away as soon as I get home )

I think I recall picking up ME 2 copy 1 day before actual release here (Norway). I go to the physical shops to pick them up cause I hate relying on them evil shipping people.

Switzerland here. I called a retailer and he confirmed the PC Collector's Edition will be available March 8. I ordered the digital deluxe version but am now thinking I'd rather cancel that and grab a physical copy a day earlier. Unless of course Origin, which I understand is required for both physical and digital versions, will keep all versions locked until March 9? It would be nice to have confirmation on this...

Again: What makes you so sure this will work for Mass Effect 3? It did with BF3, but ME3 isn't BF3. :/

I think it depends on what country you're in. But I believe most countries in Europe have their media releases on Thursdays, hence the 8th of March. The 9th must be the date that the whole of Europe has put the game on the shelves.. ?

I spoke with my GameStop retailer here in Denmark, and they said release would be the 8th.. nice.. here's hoping CE won't be delayed

Can confirm that the German Amazon also states the game will be delivered on the 8th!
