Beyond coloring your premade model, theres no such mix and match armor pieces mode in place a la SP mode, right?

Because I do not like the soldier death mask helmet.

Am sure there is.... considering if you have different types of armour to pick from.

No, armor is bound to classes. At least in the demo. Doubt it will change in retail.

There are quite a few options to change on your armor, aren't there? You just need to unlock them. Yea, it may not be available until the full release, though.

In the demo armour is based on class. Hopefully you can put different armour on your class, ie. heavy looking armour onengineers/adepts and such.

One can only hope I suppose. I mean so much detail went into armor customization for the SP, it would be nearly inconceivable for none of that to leak into the MP.

I really hope so too. I can't stand the look of the helmet on the soldier class either.
