well, now it's down to 500 kB/s with 40% left... I guess I'll just go do something else and come back in 30 minutes, hopefully it will have finished...

You guys complaining? Mine started at 34 Kbps for a 5MB cable. Stable at 40Kbps now .. i/o usual 500Kbps*sighs*

Finally available in Norway yay, like 20 min later than most others. If this is simply the fault of Origin's country detection crap, then I really understand all the criticism against it.

I just assumed it was due to a delay in each countries server syncing at slightly different times - although for all I know all the servers are side by side in the same room.

I do find the country detection stuff more than annoying though - especially as it gives me a choice of language in the settings of the client, and then completely ignores them.

I'm not a native Norwegian (from Australia originally) and while I'm trying to learn my norwegian is still limited, so being forced to access only the norwegian version of the client is annoying - especially as when it first loads it loads in English, and then switches to norwegian.

Anyways, the demo is downloaded - so must dash I have a universe to save and all that..

Agreed. On the site it keeps defaulting to French for Belgium while I speak Dutch. Which would be fine if it wasn't that the Origin client defaults to French too and gives you no way to override it. I changed from English (all PC related stuff is just English for me) to Dutch, but it still keeps overriding the content in French. (I for a split second see it in Dutch and then it goes back.) That's just annoying. The client should use my settings. /complaining

It is quite a failure that only people that own Battlefield 3 can try multiplayer for ME3 first. I have the other two games, why can't I get early access? I also have both Dragon Ages, and bought lots of DLC for ME2. Thanks, EA.

Yeah it's just wrong. They should also give access to the people who actually pre-ordered Mass Effect 3, what the heck has Battlfield got to do with Mass Effect?! Focus on YOUR RIGHT CONSUMERS! BioWare... geez.

i mean i have battlefield 3 for ps3 and i redeemed my online pass a long time ago, i redeemed it today again (twice!!) but still, i do not get any message or any sign that i can download or have the demo i entered the multiplayer from the bf3 main menu, but nothing happened, i kinda get frustrated

The mplayer demo date is the 17th. So only complain if you cannot play it on the 17th. Anything else is none of our business. They promised the demo for the 14th and delivered. Mplayer for the 17th and I counting on them to deliver it.

Else it is like complaining that someone gets more money for the same job as you when they accepted their contracts and you accepted yours. Stick to your contract and do not keep watching other people's business. If they fail payment on due date then you can complain. Or you can quit and get a better job.

From a marketing point of view this is quite clever. Why offer anything to those people who's money you already have? Promotion is much more rewarding if done for people (BF3 players) who not automatically buy your game anyway. That way they generate more sold copies in the end.

50 minutes to go... 275kb/s where 1.6mb/s is possible...

PS3 demo is scheduled to 2pm PST (-8 GMT) IIRC. It is not live yet.
