Just completed my first demo play through with a femshep, must say Hale has still got it.
I'm not normally a shooter person, much prefer the story, but I had a blast with this demo(pun intended), lip sync and facial expression are still somewhat stiff, but not a big deal to me.
I had entered the demo with the pre-conseived idea that combat was going to be awkward, but it flowed very well, this was proved by the run and gun method which is something I would not normally do, preferring normally to duck for cover, the atlas was not really a problem as you can get yourself into a position where it's almost impossible for it to get at you while whittling down it's shields, there was some awkwardness while ducking for cover and moving around cover, but that's new to me so I'll get used to it.
Weapons hit had a more positive effect, you felt the ammo slamming into the target, sound effects for weapons are so much better, I also have to say I found singularity to be much more useful in the demo than it was in ME2.
And thank you for the RPG elements, it was a pleasant surprise finding armour, weapons and ammo upgrades in basically the same way the were acquired in ME1, I hope that means no more shopping trips to the citadel.
I cannot say I'm hyped for the full game, that would be overstating, but the next couple of weeks are now going to seem longer.
