Chris i need your help i got Battlefield 3 activate my Online Pass but no early access to the demo

Other people got it early, from my understanding, people who work in the gaming business, whether it be @ GameStop.

To the public, we get it tomorrow, but have to wait for thr 17th to play the MP portion. People who have the BF3 LE activated will get to play the MP tomorrow along with the SP.

Thanks Chris for the information.

And this thread is an example of our "instant gratification" society at work. Lol.

What's PST? Pacific? How many hours are they behind us? It is behind us, isn't it? IT'S 14TH FEBRUARY HERE ALREADY YOU KNOW.

Where do you live because it's the 14th where I am too. The demo should be online for me some time after 9pm as I live in eastern Australia.

Thats pacific standard time, which is 8 hours behind england. Also remember, bioware is based in north america, so although it's the 14th there it isn't here.

Oh bugger - that's no help, it's the other way!

Wait, wait - if you're in Sydney, I think you are 11 hours ahead of us, so that means if you are expecting it at 9pm, I can <counts fingers> expect it at 10am - EXCELLENT!  I am off work tomorrow: a whole day!

Edit - no!  That can't be right, it's a 10am release - if they're 8 hours behind, it's 6pm - CURSES.

Again, it's going by PST which is where Sony, Microsoft, and EA are all based (California). so although it is the 14th where you live it is not the 14th where the companies are based. to find out what time it will be released locally for you, you need to find out what time it is in England where you are now. Specifically, Greenwich, England as that is the 'standard' so to speak. Timezones are based off of GMT, or Greenwich Mean Time. Pacific Standard Time, PST, is 8 hours behind Greenwich England; (GMT-8). So you find out what time it is in Greenwich England right now and subtract 8 hours from that. OR if you have a phone, go to your timezone map and scroll to the western side of the US. It's unfortunate but that is how it works.

You're in Sydney, so you're 10 hours ahead of England. the west coast is a further 8 hours behind England; 18 hours ahead if my maths are correct. so 5 am PST is actually * does maths * 23:00 or 11PM.

I hope thats right. I don't like the maths so much

Chris, I think you made a mistake with your PS3 info there. Demos aren't accessed from Playstation Home, but from the Playstation Store. Home is a separate application used for social networking similar to Second Life and while it does have it's own games and activities available, I've never heard of a demo being hosted exclusively there.

PS - How can someone who works for a company that has made several games on the system not know this?

This is ridiculous. I have been almost constantly watching these forums for the news of the early access program since late November. If we are not getting an early access program, all that I ask is for a confirmation of that there will be none, just so we know.

Booooowhooooo. I've been a fan since ME1 released and I'm not complaining. Stop acting childish and just wait for tomorrow.

Apparently you missed my point. I'm not complaing, I just don't like to be made a promise only to have it broken. If they would have said "Sorry, there will not be a program," that would have been much better than silence. I'm not acting childish either, I'm just overly ready for the multiplayer, because I have had the demo since Saturday, which makes waiting for tomorrow redundant. I hope that clarifies, have a great day.

Just use Time Zone Converter guys:

http://www.timeandda.../converter.html

Select "Time Zone", and then find PST (there is 2 PSTs, select the first one) on the first line, and then your time zone on the second one.

;)

So does that mean that if I have BF3 on PC, I don't have early access to the multiplayer on the Xbox 360?

So on PC do we have to have the Origin client installed, or can we simply download it from the website? I'm guessing the former, but better to make sure.
