Umm... those Reapers in Vancouver were Sovy-class. Those ships ARE supposed to be 2km high.

Those Reapers are not 1 mile high. They were the size of some really tall skyscrapers but they were not that tall.

I was using the extent to which Sovereign was visable on Eden Prime versus the extent to which the Reapers are visable on Earth, also from the perspective of Shepherd size of Sovereign attacking the Citidel and the size of the Reapers attacking Earth.

We got pretty close to sovereign in the run up the tower exterior in ME 1.  We got right under him and we were closer to him than we were any of the earth reapers.  Besides that first reaper you see on earth when you first look out the window is huge.  Same thing with the one we see land in the water.

  because that's pretty much the one that got me wondering to begin with...

They are only two classes of reapers: Destroyers and Dreaghtnought.

Sovereign was a few hundred meters taller than the Spirit of Mother Will's Carrier deck width.  Reaper Dreadnoughts are bigger than Star Destroyers, I can tell that the camera angles are all different.  If the Normandy had two different sizes next to Alliance Cruisers, I doubt this will be any accuracy.  

Regardless, the devs say the Reaper Capitals are large, and the largest ships attacking earth are Reaper Capitals.

Thing is there are so many at the end of ME2 and even in the brief cutscene we see where there are dozens above Earth, all are cut and paste. You'd think they'd sprinkle 3 - 6 in there. Especially since that scene is obviously the whole retake Earth thing.

Sovereign wasn't 2km. At least he wasn't in ME1 idk if they retconned that. You can clearly see his size up close when climbing the citadel and that was no bigger then any of the Reapers on Earth.

The camera angles in ME 1 were not the best, probably done to make Sovereign larger then he appeared.

Maybe you are right, it is hard to tell.  Just remember some of those futuristic skyscrapers would probably be much taller than the empire state building.

I just watched some of the demo also I recently played ME1. When Sovereign attacks Eden Prime all you can see of it are its fingers/claws reaching through the clouds, it's that huge. But none of the Reapers attacking Vancouver are anything like that size insted they are on a scale with the Collector Cruiser . I am mildly disappointed. (I am aware that Reapers come in a varity of sizes).

Eden Prime may have had low cloud cover that day.

Who cares what size the reapers are? In the end the United States will be reselling their scrap metal to England and Japan anyways.

It's more that I don't see the relevance of the skyscrapers in the future as I'm not using them as a frame of reference.

You just did in your previous post.

Seeing the difference between Sovereign and the Turian Cruisers, he was under a few times their size.  Fom looking at the trailers, I do notice the new Reaper frames being smaller, but not by much.  They are still large in size, and if you look at the new trailers, we can see vast differences in some sizes by distance.

So unless Bioware actually releases a scale picture set of the Reaper ships to Milky Way race ships, and put the confirmed sizes, this is a waste of time to Speculate.
