Krogan: Incinerate, Lift Grenade, Tech Armor

BUT...IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE?

actually in Mass Effect 2 there was that one Krogan on Tutchunka working on the Land Rover type Vehicles, he said that Krogan like him are the backbone of their race Posted Image

Not that....They don't have any real biotic powers. It's technically an engineer with stronger defences..

What's better a Turian Sentinel or a Turian Soldier? I can't decide.

They seem really identical

Fortification / Tech Armor :  Defensive armor power with different detonation bonuses.  Added melee damage or explosion upon detonation.

Carnage / Incinerate  :  Ranged damage attack that staggers enemies and does heavy damage.

Inferno Greande / Lift Grenade  :  A grenade power that has a CC side-effect.  Firey panic for one, lift for the other.

The two seem pretty straight up similar.

What class is better with the race Turian, to do the most damage and mow enemies down, excluding vanguard.

well i'm saying that it makes sense, cus Sentinels are a combination of biotic and tech powers. and if they made a Krogan Engineer, more people woulda been like WTF!?!?!?

Yeah, thats the one set I'm not keen on.  I'd much rather have had Cryo/Throw/Tech Armor to counter the Turian's Overload/Warp/Tech Armor.

Brutally shattering your enemy with biotics makes more sense to me from a Krogan perspective than throwing Lift Grenades and fireballs.

But what about the biotic powers. If it's a biotic class, then give me a biotic power....a real one that's not tech based.

Oops, I summarized the Krogan comparison, not the Turian one.

The Turians do damage differently.  Marksman makes the Soldier a more "guns" oriented damage class.  Overload and Warp make the Sentinel a more power based damage class.  I imagine that both do a lot of damage, it just depends on whether you like powers or guns.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. Hold up.

Krogan got sentinel? Of all the races possible, Krogan got the one that involves intimate knowledge of tech? Not to mention a sentinel's usual gravitation towards support instead of head-on combat.

I would've definitely switched Drell/Krogan for Vanguard/Sentinel. A Krogan Sentinel makes me giggle.

honeslty i couldnt tell ya. but this class makes more sense than a vanguard who is more biotic than a sentinel

Krogan Support is real. one can be seen in ME2 on Tutchunka working on a land rover type vehicle

I too would like to know what Decoy is. Anyone able to fill us in?

Here's the description for the power that I found while datamining powers for the "ME3 Powers" thread:

Decoy: Creates a decoy that will attract enemy fire.

It's also completely lacks any offensive capabilities (unlike the Combat Drone), until you get to it's 5th Rank (where it can evolve to briefly stun enemies) and 6th Rank (where it can evolve to explode when destroyed).

Thanks a lot for the info AVPen. Been hard getting details like this with the few videos up yet.

Decoy sounds... interesting, in concept, yet disapointing in usefulness given the similar functionality of the Salarian Engineer's Combat Drone... unless Drone functionality was changed from ME2. Will have to wait for footage of this to really tell I suppose.

That's support off the battlefield. The Krogan culture demands warriors, encourages headbutts, etc. Sure there may be SOME Krogan out there with a knack for tech and a cool head, but it's just not befitting the culture at all. I'm sure there are also some great asari engineers, considering they're the longest space-faring race, yet we stuck them both in biotic classes because it fits them.

A sentinel class fits on a krogan about as well as a tube top and heels.

I don't remember if Turians can even have biotics? Is it super rare? I mean there isn't a single one in the whole of ME1 or 2 that I can recall anyways.

The Turian/Krogan Sentinel thing is boggling my mind currently.

-edit-
As for anyone saying Sentinel doesn't fit a Krogan at all - its the closest you could possibly get to Wrex. As far as the actual class role - not the name. Technically none of the races really fit into the 6 class names for the humans (which is why they never had them as passive class powers).

Though I guess a Krogen Vanguard with Barrier instead of Charge would be pretty close to Wrex. I was kinda hoping that's what Sentinel would be though, Throw and Fortification or Barrier instead of Tech Armor. Instead its a sentinel with out any biotics. Really bizar.

i do seem to recall Turian mercenary enemies able to use the sentinel shield in ME2 (confirmation?)

and the Krogan Sentinels make more sense that a Krogan with all Biotic abilites

Saren had Biotics?I... don't remember that at all. Was it in a codex or something? Bah, been forever since I actually played ME1 and fought him on Virmire, I should go look that up again.

Just odd I don't remember ever fighting a Turien with biotics.

-edit-
Except for, unlike Turians there's multiple example of Krogan with mass Biotic abilities in ME1 and 2. There rare but insanely potent Biotics. Wrex was a prime example of this. It's jsut dissapointing the one Krogan class outa the 2 that would get biotics doesn't actually get any biotics.

I would rather have a biotic Krogan. Krogan Battlemasters are specific to the Krogan lore. They exist and are prevelant (Wrex), and biotics can still be used in a very in-your-face, assaulting manner. It makes much more sense than a Krogan Sentinel.

As I originally said, I would definitely argue that Drell Vanguard and Krogan Sentinel should be switched. If Drell fighters are often trained to be assassins, there's a much greater chance for them to be patient in fights and intimate with tech than there is for a Krogan to be either.

He uses them on you all the time during the encounter on Virmire.
