Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. Hold up.

Krogan got sentinel? Of all the races possible, Krogan got the one that involves intimate knowledge of tech? Not to mention a sentinel's usual gravitation towards support instead of head-on combat.

I would've definitely switched Drell/Krogan for Vanguard/Sentinel. A Krogan Sentinel makes me giggle.

Krogan Support is real. one can be seen in ME2 on Tutchunka working on a land rover type vehicle

That's support off the battlefield. The Krogan culture demands warriors, encourages headbutts, etc. Sure there may be SOME Krogan out there with a knack for tech and a cool head, but it's just not befitting the culture at all. I'm sure there are also some great asari engineers, considering they're the longest space-faring race, yet we stuck them both in biotic classes because it fits them.

A sentinel class fits on a krogan about as well as a tube top and heels.

so you would rather have a biotic Krogan? cus they way you put it is that Krogan only fits the Soldier class

I would rather have a biotic Krogan. Krogan Battlemasters are specific to the Krogan lore. They exist and are prevelant (Wrex), and biotics can still be used in a very in-your-face, assaulting manner. It makes much more sense than a Krogan Sentinel.

As I originally said, I would definitely argue that Drell Vanguard and Krogan Sentinel should be switched. If Drell fighters are often trained to be assassins, there's a much greater chance for them to be patient in fights and intimate with tech than there is for a Krogan to be either.

i agree that Drell should be in the Infiltrator class, but honestly Krogan Sentinels just make more sense than a Full Biotic Krogan

@staindgrey : Only reason I don't agree with that is - Sentinel is the Tank in ME2/3. I mean, that's basically a Krogan battlemaster right there, biotic shotgunning tank. But then, that's also why I think a Vanguard Krogan with out charge would make a lot of sense.

Personally don't think a Krogan should get charge, as much as everyone else loves that idea. It feels just as off as a Krogan with all tech abilities with the Sentinel. There slow moving mass regenerating, redundant organ brutes with natural armor plating.

The idea of moving super fast almost doesn't exist in there line of thinking heh. Why I kinda hold by I think they should get Barrier instead of charge but that just wouldn't be a normal vanguard play. Sentinel with Throw instead of Biotic Grenade or Incinerate would fit more to the battlemaster.

-edit-
@Raltar : Also yeah just looked up Saren videos to refresh the memory and Saren sure does. Wonder why hes the only Turian they've ever shown using Biotics. I know Krogan biotics are meant to be freakishly rare but you run into a buncha em in ME1 and 2 lol.

Ah well.

Totally agree with you. Put krogan in the Vanguard class, take away biotic charge, give them more stationary abilities: Barrier, Throw, and maybe that new grenade thing. Appeals to the Krogan Battlemaster while taking into account that a true Krogan Vanguard could break gameplay.

Regardless, a Sentinel just doesn't fit a krogan. And like you said, giving said krogan all tech abilities makes even less sense.

Well maybe they'll add an actual biotic inclined tank Krogan either already in the main game or in a patch or something. Cause current non-soldier Krogan is nonsense... Nonsense!

Salarian: Combat Drone, Energy Drain, Decoy

I'm sorry, but this seems like an awful loadout for an engineer. Yes they get combat drone and decoy - but no offensive abilities? Energy drain works against shields (unless it's changed) and even still - I doubt it's going to be very effective against armor or health. If someone has played a salarian engineer..could you please tell me it's not that bad? Combat drone only CC one enemy - cryo can cc multiple. Incinerate does massive damage - especially against armor, yet also cc.

I'm thinking this might be the worst race/class combination.

Krogan sentinels make sense to me. Sentinels went from being support in 1 to tanks in 2. Krogans are tankiest race of all.

I was wondering how does Marksman work in Mass Effect 3? Since I want to be a Turian Soldier in the demo for the 17th.

Haven't played yet, but Salarian Engineer looks okay in my opinion.

The idea with Engineer is to provide tech-based power support, which is an ability that doesn't necessarily have to inflict damage directly. I could definately see the Decoy being a useful distraction depending on how the AI responds to it (having it draw agro from an Atlas mech could really come in handy) and Drone is good for pinning mobile enemies down or kicking enemies in cover into the open. Energy Drain, if it functions as it did in ME2, performs the same duties as Overload but with the added bonus of recharging shields. These capabilities together are making the Salarian Engineer look to be possibly the best class for redirecting enemy attention, something that could be invaluable on harder difficulties where enemies don't die at the flick of a wrist. Arguably, you could have every take heavy damage-dealing classes and accomplish much the same, though there is something to be said of having tactical options when things turn south.

Yeah because I know in Mass Efefct 1 it affected your pistols so im hoping in Mass Effect 3 it'll do something to all your weapons you're holding.

Is Tech Armour any good in Multiplayer?

I can actually see Tech Armor and Fortification being pretty solid as a constant on/off use for a Krogan. But then Fort being turned off gives %melee dmg it seems like.

Turning off fortify then doing a heavy melee (which is a charge-hit for Krogan) would be a 1 hit kill on...everything but an Atlas basically. Think 4 points in is about 100% dmg if you go that way, kinda insane when you think about it.

Not sure how useful Tech Armor would be in the same situation but I could see it being useful in the same light, but more as a initial AoE Attack prior to the 'Krogan Charge'. You know, knock em back a bit then rush up and put your arm through there face.

yeah, lore-wise it doesnt make sense, but tactically....theres nothing wrong with Asari Adepts. Im using that the most...Stasis is awesome, and throw/warp are quite handy as well.

Anyone playing as a Krogan Sentinel tried getting close detonating Tech Armor to stun and then Krogan Charging? In my head that sounds like a really effective tactic.
