Are u upset that Shepard can be any class? If not then you shouldn't be worried that humans can be every class in MP.staindgrey wrote...
I'm just curious, especially since I can't access the multiplayer yet, as to why the races have been categorized into certain roles, while humans get to be whatever they want.
I mean, I understand from a gameplay aspect why they'd do that. Balance according to predetermined loadouts, ability to pick and choose animations rather than creating them for every character model, possibly even regulating spoken lines (as in, now they don't have to worry about a turian saying he's using Lift, or an asari annoucning she's hacking a geth), etc. I get that.
But I was really hoping to mix things up. I love asari, but would have loved to play the role of an asari who had a knack for tech and pursued a life of learning to be an engineer. I would've loved to play as a drell Infiltrator, or a krogan Vanguard. Being restricted by class if I want to pick a race is disappointing, especially considering I love tech-centered classes and don't really enjoy the prospect of playing as quarians or salarians.
But despite that, humans can do anything. I can make a human of any class, but my asari character would have to be an Adept/Vanguard. That just... irks me. So I decided to vent in this thread. Not much I can do about it, but... ugh. Humans are boring; I see them every day. Plus they have those silly helmets on. Why couldn't they have been pushed out of a couple slots to make room for other races? Make the class disparity more even?
I'm going to push for my asari Sentinel 'til I get it.

Because I think most players want to play as humans.
yeah, people want to play as humans, and not as unique races from the franchise
And some restrictions are just plain dumb, I feel the "3 of each class" and each race gets 2 classes is dumb. Turians should have Infiltrators, there should be Male Quarians, Krogan should get Vanguard, let us choose at least ONE of our active powers, etc. etc.

Ironic.
But I don't want their help... All I want to do is my ascension to my true destiny ! Salvatation through Destruction!

I'm really wondering why the drell isn't an Infiltrator. It matches perfect with their sneaky style.

Bioware probably realised humans are boring and nobody would want to play them if it was an option so they forced them on us.

RIGHT!
But seriously, humans suck.

This. It's easier to have only humans being the diverse jack of all trades species and relegate the others to only one field.Armass81 wrote...

You see, under the Citadel Council, your race determines you lot in life. Since humans are the newcomers onto the galactic stage we've yet to be pigeonholed into a given "type".

Quarians, Krogan, Batarian, Vorcha, InsertTerminus Race Here - They quite literally don't have access to Biotics or Tech. Sure they could implant themselves with an Amp but they will never have the supply to create an army of Biotics. Most therefore tend to use what's available. Quarians are just really resourceful whilst the bloodthirsty Krogan, Vorcha nad Batarians basically chose to fight out their differences using good ole fashioned weaponry like the Wraith.
Turians were a Military Race at heart. They always focussed on Public Service everyone was either a soldier, cop, engineer or other. They evolved around guns and ammo. Sure, once theyreached Council Status they have branched out (Cabal Units) But I'm guessing they never saw a need for Biotics or Tech.
Salarians, I got nothing, maybe theer short life span is counter intuitive to the training and cost requirements of biotic implants?
