Got an SMG upgrade and an Asari Adept in my starter pack, not a bad way to start things off as adept is my #2 favorite class. Maybe if the server connection stops being stupid I can actually try out the multiplayer here soon...

Krogan Sentinel isn't in the demo I believe. Each race only has one class in the demo.. at least that's what seems to be happening.

My recent Veteran packs gave me the Revenent and Widow back to back. I was quite happy. Would like to get the Locust soon.

So far I've unlocked the Viper, Scimitar II, Mattock II, Krogan Soldier, and my beloved Asari Adept. Just lucky I guess ;D

Just opened my starter got clips/gel/AR dampner/Ops pack and unlocked turian sentinel

so far ive unlocked the Hornet SMG, Mattock, avenger III, Tempest, phalanx, Claymore shotgun, various weapon mods and humans of all classes some wh xp boosts, oh and i think a turian adept wh a lvl 5 boost.

i got quarian engineer and was like YAY. than after getting to lvl 12 i switched to human engineer and i prefer human because of overload... lol. xD overload/neural shock *drule* run arround with just the Avenger and i have a 2.6 cooldown on overload stuning 2 enemies every 2.6 seconds because of chain overload.. its fun xD

my frined got salarian infiltrator and on his first vet pack got krogan soldier >.< i have yet to unlock another class and i've bough like 6+ packs and 5+ recruit >.<

My first package on Xbox had the Krogan Soldier in all his glory. Nothing that great on PC.  I have since unlocked the Phalanx, Viper, level 2 pistol scope, AR scope, shotgun blade, katana 3, scimitar, predator 2, smg clip size 2, and the one that has a chance for a shot to not use a round, and spare sniper ammo. and of course various human class cards.

Just got a drell vanguard, must be my 15th or so Vet pack. Only buying vet packs, have asari adept and drell vanguard so far.

I've gotten no freaking character unlocks at all, bought 8 vet packs and about 14 normal packs, and my freaking room mate downloads this demo, gets his starter pack, and gets the Turian. I have played ME 1 and 2 for over 70 hours each, have pre-ordered the collectors edition of ME3, and have been aching for this game. He hasn't ever played ME, doesn't want to buy the game, and asked what that alien was.

DO NOT BUY RECRUIT PACKS.

Just keep hammering away with Vet packs and they will come.

The lottery system has to go.

Playing the demo for 2 days now (taking turns with my bf so he unlocks more veteran packs) and no Turian Sentinel. It's jinxed.

^ THIS. I've had a lot of luck with Veteran packs. Unlocked Quarian Engineer, Krogan Soldier, and Asari Adept. Viper 3, Mantis 2, Avenger 2, Mattock 1, Shuriken 2, Tempest 2, Katana 1, Scimitar 3, Phalanx 3, Predator 2, assorting weapon mod level 2's. And I've probably only bought around ~10-12 Veteran packs and 2 Recruit.

If you need consumables and weapon add-on's, the cheaper pack is probably better. For guns and classes/races, Veteran is undoubtedly the way to go. Since you get ~15000 for winning a Bronze game, you only need to win 4 Bronze games to unlock 3 Veteran packs. Considering how EASY the Bronze difficulty is, i've been breezing though this.
