This is flat out making me miserable. I'm put wayy too many hours into this and still haven't got what I want. The fact that its random makes it even worse because there's no progress and nothing to show for all the hours. All I want is a krogan, where he be?

I know how you feel, I've been grinding games since this came out, and I just unlocked the krogan soldier. and my roommate unlocked a krogan with his 1st vet pack. I hated him.

Well at least you've got one At this point I feel like I never will.  I'm in an endless cycle of playing 1-2 matches, buying a veteran, getting nothing, repeat.  Been doing that for about 7 hours straight and nooooo krogan.  This is the second day in a row too, just sucks.  How could this have been thought to be a good idea?

Finally I've unlocked a Viper... after soloing half a wave with my Asari Adept after the rest of my team got killed by turrets. Unless I get a decently leveled Quarian Infiltrator, I'm not going to get too much use out of it.

A statement from Jerrett Lee:

"What I can tell you is this: although the system is not likely going to go away, the demo has approximately half of the unlockable content that is present in the full game. While I can't speak to the chances of getting a very specific unlock, in general you should see more/better rewards from the packs you earn."

Even a fifth grader can tell that's some fairly backwards logic. If the system continues to be as random as it is (which, Bioware is surprisingly boasting to be the case), then it will LITERALLY mean that you have to wade through twice as much crap before you actually get the item you care about.

Let's say what I want is a Quarian Engineer. Let's say that in the demo, it took me 30 veteran packs to unlock it. If the statistics remain the exact same, then I can expect it to take 60 veteran packs before I get my precious Quarian Engineer, because now, there's twice as much stuff that ISN'T a Quarian Engineer.

How is this supposed to guarantee more/better rewards, again?

Asari Adept in the starter, have yet too get any other races aside from humans.

A Mattock. Took me 5 veteran packs to get a attachement for my sniper. I was playing bronze too, so it took a while. Once you get into silver matches, you can get 1, even 2 veteran packs per game, so it isn't that bad

Still trying for a Salarian, I managed to get a Mattock, a Claymore, and a Krogan Soldier one after the other.

So I figured, hey, let's give it a go.

ive unlocked every uncommon gun and there all level 10 (max level) not including the revenant and carnifex, and im yet to unlock the widow and claymore. (still no krogan)

I've gotten a Quarian Engineer, a Drell Vanguard, a Krogan soldier and a Human male soldier. My last Vet pack scored me the M26 Hornet 1. Seriously, what the heck is with the human male soldier?

my starter pack had a Krogan Soldier and I've been loving it. I run around all crazy punching things out. if I get 75 kills in a game I'm pretty sure 50 are probably melee.

Yeah man, 4 hours ago I would have replied the same thing. It was a vicious cycle of buying veteran packs and getting another damn smg upgrade, or a pistol or something else that I never use. It pissed me off beyond belief, especially with my roommate vaunting his krogan and turian. Trust me, it is worth the wait, I freaking love playing with this guy. With the shotgun bayonette and a krogan, anything is possible. keep on trying, mate!

i just unlocked the widow and the hornet only gun i dont have is the claymore (and once again still no krogan) and 2 of my friends on xbox live already have the krogan

Getting sick of getting Tempest every second pack. Although I got my salarian infiltrator today so that makes up for it a bit. Now if only I could get a krogan soldier i'd be a happy man.

Lol I know right xD I was interested in unlocking any class except Soldiers, and wasn't really interested in having a Krogan. Guess what I got? xD Lol.. But it's no big deal for me. The game is still very fun. I do seem to get stuff that I rarely use though in case of weapons.. I mainly use assault rifles and pistols, and most of my upgrades are regarding the sniper rifles and shotguns O.o It's as if the game wants me to try other guns or something.

I got the Quarian Engineer with my starter pack which is what I was hoping i'd get. I also want the Asari Adept but im really pleased with my Quarian.
