Could someone elaborate on how these 'packages' work? The sound of it disgusts me, if it's all random and it's luck based on when you get a race, class, item what have you then.. Yuck, just yuck.

I don't give a damn for anything but one (maybe two) classes. I don't want to unlock those, I just want to play the classes I want to play from the get-go or at least NOT have to rely on a RANDOM system.

I'm hoping I am misunderstanding this, so please tell me I'm wrong. :(

I've bought numerous of packages(vetern too) and have not unlocked any characters since then. I usually keep getting mods for weapons I don't even use.

..Well, there goes the little bit of optimism I had for the multiplayer.
That.. That must be the most retarded system I've heard of in a multiplayer game. And I've played tons of those...

That almost sounds like one of those terrible microtransaction systems (I don't hate microtransaction, I think the "League of Legends formula" - which games such as Tribes are copying - is fine, in fact I think it's smart) 
Would not be surprised if we could.. buy class/race packs in the nearby future.

I personally think that the characters should be on a separate list, since they have nothing to do with the guns and all that.

Salarian Infiltrator - and I've purchased one of the other two packages and only got the Phalanx pistol. DOH!

But I like my Salarian Infiltrator - dude is allright.

It may not be as idiotic as it sounds. If all players in a session were running the same Krogan Soldier char, it might be boring! At least we will get to learn the strengths of them all and use it in the REAL mplayer. This is only a demo!

It's true. "Krogan charge" allows you to run towards an enemie and slam him in his face. Devs said with that heavy melee you can take down almost every humanoid in the game.

Oh... so it's his heavy melee?  That makes more sense.  I was scouring his power list and was like, "Where the f*** is my charge!!"   Thanks for the info.

Got it too, I'm not even using it, rather had something else. The game tries to give me new and new Sniper rifles for some odd reason. I DON'T CARE ABOUT SNIPERS! I'm using my M8 Avenger, what kicks ass in garden and in home.
