I honestly think she looks vastly better than the previous default, and far better then anyone's custom Femsheps I've ever seen.

Of course I think they're all kinda ugly, so that's not saying much.

And I agree she doesn't look enough like the art we actually voted for her to look like, and I still think the Blonde version looked the best.

What is this? Majority of people here didn't complain when the trailer was release, but now a few days later people start working up the courage to say it. I was among the first to realize how her face was out of place to everyone's dismay. Were people too afraid to express what they truly thought for fear of being called out by femshep fans?

She looks better than the old default femshep who was just really plain looking. I don't know why they didn't use a facescan model like they did for default manshep and squadmates like Miranda and Samara. Her face looks cartoony compared to Sheploo.

On those pictures I think she looks really good and it is very much like the artwork.
But I agree there are also snapshots which are not so flattering for her.

 The trailer was quite awesome, so we were just happy. Also,because it's done, there's no chance to change her. it served no purpose to complain about that. I didn't want to complain with those childish people who were raging because, Femshep has too much make up, what the hell bioware, blablabla;

There, we are just discussing, so I just give my two cents. ( And sorry but I was among the first ones who said Femshep looked odd, the first time we've seen her a few seconds in a video before the femshep trailer. )

And i've seen and in the femshep thread, and in the femshep video thread,  a few people who said they found the new femshep odd or they were disappointed.

I definitely preferred the old default femshep.

Actually, just about all human (and a few non-human) squadmates had a face model (Jeff Zalzali and Kenyon Glover come to mind, but Jack, Ashley, Zaeed, Vega, and Joker also definitely did).

Not all of the models are celebrities, however.

No, it doesn't. Let me compare. Okay, this (link) is a fanmade ME2 face based on the artwork of the Femshep we voted for. It looks closer to the artwork then the actual default Femshep we got. It's quite sad that a fan with the normal CC with ME2 created a better representation of the artwork then Bioware did. Let me post the pics too. Note that the official artwork for Femshep is included in the first pic of the fanmade one, for comparisons sake (bottom middle part). Right click>view image for full size.





The hair style is literally the only difference between the fanmade face and the artwork, whereas the official Bioware made Femshep based on the same artwork has many more differences. And the hair style difference is only because that hair style doesn't exist in ME1 or ME2. How does this fail happen?

If only more developers understood the value of fan-creations. They could have lots and lots of extra high quality content if they gave us modding tools and encurages us to submit our work for review and official dlc status. In that way, they could controll quality and content of fan made mods.

She looks good straight on and when she's not talking but theres something weird with her lips and how they move. Perhaps they should have based her on a real human like they did with default male. Doesn't matter, I'll just use my own, I've already figured out a few really hot face codes.

I always thought femshep looked wierd from some angles, though the trailer was good but that was because of Hale's voice. I've not been heaping praise on the trailer or even step foot in the femshep trailer thread because I didn't really feel like it mattered, she's not who I'll be playing as. I always wanted to say something but didn't want to rain on anyone's parade.

she looks absolutely terrible, her whole face is very cartoonish,she doesn't have freckles she has black holes on her face and the sheer amount of makeup she wears (and seriously if I had such spots on my face I would cover them up instead of putting 2kg of shade on my eyes...) explains why it's so hard for her to win against the reapers -she spents all her time refreshing her make-up

Except she looks nothing like the concept art, outside of basic bone structure and hair color. Her eyes, mouth, hair style and make up is all different.
