As for fun... I don't think it really "works"; plus, I suck at it - guess I'm more a CoD kind of person (where I do frequently make MVP)

I love the randomness of the unlocks, love the classes, love the random objectives in the missions.
I was a afraid even the mass effect team had turned bad, but no they delivered again.

I love it so far, a few glitches when it comes to running/entering cover but I'm sure they'll fix those.
I really want a stat tracker like many other games these days, and I would love to have playable geth.

use mic, or press T to enter chat, according to key binds, so there is def going to be text chat on pc.Epic Legion wrote...
- Almost unplayable (disconnecting after few minutes of a match. Only finished match once...)
- Where's a text chat? Seriously, such a basic thing missing in a multiplayer game? What the hell.
- Finding match takes forever
4/10 just because Vanguard is awesome. 9/10 if it gets fixed and text chat is added...
Also, random unlocks are damn stupid.

It's fun to play, and I really like the customization setup for weapons, powers, and "perks," but random unlocks are bad. I noticed some serious glitches which are hopefully fixed in the full game. Like in most multiplayer games, people do not communicate...but communication is essential in a co-op game. (Of course this is no fault of the game's...SPEAK UP PEOPLE!) More of a problem is the fact that I can't get into a full squad. Most often, I go in with only one other player, which is suicidal above bronze.

- Can't re-map powers
- Unlock system is horrible (Shouldn't be random, should be like BF3's)
- Can't reset skills (need to be able to experiment with different builds without too much penalty)
- Loby needs some sort of forced 1 minute timer to prevent 1 person from holding a game up
- Could use some additional mutators to mix things up between rounds (husks only survival, reapers vs cerberus vs players, indoctrination: each player killed becomes a husk and must attack other players, etc...)
If those problems are addressed, this would be a 10 out of 10 in my book. This multiplayer has a LOT of unique features and I'm finding it more fun than BF3 or MW3 even in the state it is currently in. (Though without the features above that would wear off VERY quickly.)

1/10 playing by yourself. Heavy risk…no prize.
ME3 MP is not meant to be played "lone wolf" style. It's more of a "horde mode". If you stick together and help out your team, you'll succeed. You'll even see some sweet ability combos that sound awesome!
He's got a point though. Maybe not lone wolfing it, but when playing in smaller squads it is EXTREMELY difficult and takes MUCH longer to finish the round, yet you aren't rewarded accordingly. The problem is this leads to people just jumping ship when the game is not maxed out at 4 because they know they aren't going to get as many goodies.

Well, you are rewarded accordingly; you get a helluva lot more experience without having to split it with everybody else. Provided your team can actually progress through the level, you can level up much more quickly.Captain_Brian wrote...

Ah, didn't notice. I only played a couple of games with just me and another player, but started avoiding them due to them taking so long. (I think one went on for like 25 minutes and we only made it to level 6)

I donno. I played a few games with a full squad of 4 people and we made it through all the waves much quicker and made close to 100K XP each game (only on Bronze). With 2 people, you're lucky to make it far enough to get decent XP let alone credits.
That's been my experience too. And I notice people seem to jump ship on lobies with only 3 people in them

From what I seen in the demo, I give the multi about a 6/10 .
There are a few things that could be fixed, not many ppl are fond of the random unlocking system, the customization could be a bit better(sota like how it was in ME2), but what really gets to me personally is how "solo" is pretty much another term for "mission impossible". =P
I fully understand the mode wasnt meant for going solo, it was meant for ppl to work together as a team, and I know not everyone will become a master at it right away, but I still think its just way too challenging as it is right now. Even with 4 ppl on the lowest difficulty it can be pretty hard. As for going solo, the only way I see getting anywhere past the first few waves would be to leval up and upgrade our character(s) to the max, plus LOTS of practice on all maps. As for the credits, I guess we'll have to play tons of online or if the player doesnt have online capabilities, they'd have to somehow achieve the credit-awarding objectives alone....which is next to impossible. I know you guys said yourselves playing solo was going to be hard, and I was prepared for that, but compared to most other co-ops I've played alone(and trust me I go solo with these things ALOT) this one is just unbearable lol.
So I'm not blaming or attacking you for anything, but I HIGHLY suggest Bioware puts together some sort of update or dlc pack later to make things easier, especially on us solo/offline folks. Such as adding friendly bots, making an easier difficulty(..."Copper"? xP), maybe an easier way to obtain items, etc
Anyways, I know I will enjoy the SP part at least.

More pragmatically, there would seem to be some issues with matchmaking (despite the UPnP and port forwarding, which isn't even mentioned anywhere in the game).
Lots of one-man lobbies (perhaps someone should look up the "multi" in "multi-player"?), lots of "Searching for game" followed by "Disconnected from game" - maybe 10% of all matches are viable in the end
Then there's the issue that some games take ages to time out (cannot be cancelled other than by killing the process).
---
Finally, a non-technical issue - the complete lack of tutorial means that most new player won't have a clue about the game and will consequently die and, not uncommonly, quit or just be generally useless. So, if I get a match with 2 lvl 1 players, I'll just (have to) go look for another lobby. I don't think that's really ideal
Predictably, Bioware did not consider the possibility that putting experienced players with nigh-invincible characters in the same war zone as newbies with lvl 1 defaults might not work (remember the first months of SWTOR PVP?).
Seriously, does BW do any play testing at all or are you just delegating all that work to their paying customers? (just like... SWTOR?)
