Multiplayer can have all 10 points I was once going to give to Single Player.

8.5 out of 10. A fair score, but there are a few flaws and glitches which could use fixing.

10/10 if you could use your creds to buy weps/consumables/equipment manually.

SP Campaign, 10/10. MP I'd say 9/10. This is my first multiplayer experience. Never played Halo, CoD, or any shooter for that matter. Well, played CoD campaign briefly, but no MP.

6 out of ten

Losing one point for failed connections
One point for lag.
One point for basic match making instead of detailed setups.
One point for disconnects.

Good fun though and a reasonable diversion for 30 minutes.

7/10 only because there is so much unrealized potential.

It is defenetly one of the most beautiful games. Hazard Fire Base Ghost is an example of going in the right direction. If you have a good sound system the sounds of the rain, the wind and the shriking pipes sets an amazing atmosphere for the battle to come.

A great starting point, and I'm hoping that ME4 (we know it's coming) improves on it, rather than following the CoD tradition of never fixing all the bad things.

Concepts are good, but execution is a bit weaker. Numerous, persistent bugs detract, and Bioware seems to have difficulty pinning down what's actually causing them, so they have to hurt other aspects of the game to control it.

Store system can be frustrating; would be nice if UR drop chances increased with each pack without one, then resets when one drops, so that the odds of going 20+ packs without are significantly less. Given that it is apparently a great source of income though, I don't expect the store to change much.

Weapon system is imperfect, to say the least. Because there are 10 levels of each weapon, higher-rarity weapons almost have to be better than lower-rarity ones, leading to an imbalance in weapon power, and an effective decrease in the pool of usable weapons. Also, they seem to forget that certain under-performing weapons exist, as they are passed over for buffs constantly, despite being near-useless as they are.

The difficulty system is too non-linear. From Silver to Gold, especially, enemies have way more health, and do way more damage, and your health/shield gates are nerfed so that they only matter against Ravagers, Primes, Atlases, Phantoms, and Nemeses. In Silver, the heavy-hitters are dangerous because they can strip your shields off very quickly compared to troopers. But in Gold, every regular trooper can kill you in the same amount of time from halfway across the map without making a noise and being five times as numerous. In Silver, Heavies are a big threat; in Gold, they're trivial compared to the troopers.

At the moment, 6, maybe 7. Geth have been completely destroyed, all of the enemies are stomp happy now, and Glacier has been ruined. And it just feels less fun. Maybe when prime drones don't stagger you and bombers don't have an armor layer Geth will be better, but I don't see that happening.

I'd say 8/10.
Cons :
  • Disconnections from EA servers + Origin are a pain. I know BW isn't responsible for this but it affects the overall experience badly. Speaking of which...
  • Losing consumables but not getting any credit when a game is disconnected ? It's like being punished twice. I mean I could live with my consumables being removed from my inventory if I actually got the credits I fought for on wave 10 on my account. But removing the consumables AND not getting the credits is bad.
  • Geth are terrible. I only play them with my Kroguard or occasionally with my Turian Infiltrator (thx Overload). They were not fun before the patch and DLC and now they are really broken. Hopefully this week's balance changes will stop that !
  • The RNG system for the store is not for everyone. I'm OK with it but I understand people who aren't.
And the pros :
  • The Mass Effect universe !@# The MP game helped me cope with the SP awful experience.
  • The gameplay and all. I like how the games are played and it's fun. Don't know how to word it better.
  • The free stuff. I mean OK, you have to buy the actual Mass Effect 3 game to be able to play but from then on, everything is free.
  • DLCs, especially the latest one, are rich and contain acutal content. Honestly, the Retaliation DLC with challenges and Collectors and N7 HQ and all blew my mind 7 months after the initial release. Amazing job here.
  • The care about balance. I know there are people who are quite irritated about weekly balance changes but I find it's good.
  • The overall care about the community. BW listen and it shows, even 7 months after the release.
In other words : a great experience that has prevented me from playing other games since May :P Good games are piling in my "todo" list and I don't even have enough sleep hours. Ah well I'll rest when I'm dead.

I'm a PC gamer myself but I was impatient and played multiplayer on the Xbox 360 already. I had a lot of fun even though I really suck with a controller. I died in almost every wave but at least I made it to wave 10.

Also, why does everyone play as a soldier?

They're being nice and want to give you opportunities to kick ass with the other classes. Pick up an Adept (for Pull/Warp) or an Engi (for Incinerate/Overload) and clean house.

Because Soldier kicks ass and gets you top-score. Not to mention the armor is awesome. B)

Concusion shots are guidable like biotic attacks in this game. So you can shoot them behind corners and they are QUITE spamable. Grenades do massive damage also. It's a fun class.

Just FYI, score =/= anything
Soldiers are weapons platforms and perform the same at lvl 1 through lvl 10 THAT is why everyone is using them now.

I can take a Sentinel into a match with all lvl 20 Destroyers and own the match, 9/10 times they don't have anything to shoot.

Good players don't rely on a specific class.
SImple players rely on easy classes.

P.S. -For those that ARE good players and still use a soldier class, well, the above comment it not for you.

ME3 MP is not meant to be played "lone wolf" style.

Why is there a challenge for "Lone Wolf" then?

How times change huh ;)

8/10 BW have done a great job with all the new DLC
The problems are:
-No ingame credits save, so when you lost the connection to the server you are going to destroy the cd
-so many bugged enemies especially geth
-after retaliation i think, the gold runs are so difficult
-i'm ok with the random store system but when you get all the rare cards, the ultra rare are only a dream !

9/10, one of the best MP games I've played. The devs have done an amazing job keeping what is essentially a horde mode addictive and fun.

I played this game well over 700 hours and had good and bad moments with it,but all was worth it.
It is damn good game by my standards, but I like Mass Effect universe.
I defeated RNG store,I beat platinum, only servers were stronger than me.
Solid 9/10.

7 / 10 . Here's why :

Good :- Chance to play as alien characters & humans other than Shepard, difficulty more dynamic & more interesting than single player, good for having fun.
Bad:- EA Servers, The amount of time wasted to get into a game (loading,DRM,etc), overpowered new units (Dragoons), cheap combat mechanic (stun lock & sync kill that kill players immediately & the fact it is random)

9/10, since no computergame can ever beat the look on your friends' drunk faces when you wipe out your biggest ally after a 4 hour long game of RISK and turn around your mission card.

Atm, 8/10.

I love the multiplayer a lot. It has nice set of characters to choose from, I can customize them too.

Weapons feel nice and play very nicely, I like them overall, but I do hate the fact that some weapons just loose their power at gold difficulty (one more reason to stick at silver).

Then we got the factions, which all bring nice change of pace to the gameplay, but ofcourse some of the enemies are cheap as hell, namely most of the Geth and Scion's "onehit kill final shot".

Gameplay itself is solid and fun, but at consoles the "fine aim" moves too slowly, so I can't keep up with strafing enemies, which is riddicilous. Then there is the button placement. How about putting that "activate" button with "reload" button? That would fix quite a bit. Also sprinting sometimes makes your character take cover, how about we disable this? If I hold my button down, it means I want to sprint, not to take cover. I can tap to take cover.

It got so much better since it launched. I feel it's a very worthy 9/10 when before it was more of a 7.

8/10

Pros:

- very good coop experience

- diversity of classes, powers, combinations, team builds

- new contents including new enemies and maps, creative hazard maps, so we've got challenge again and the old maps have new feelings

- it has a lot of potential because of the awesome ME universe, game style

Cons:

- bugfixes are coming out VERY slowly and we still got 7 month old bugs which are "fixed" 2 or 3 times yet... (I've the feeling devs lost the control over the game's code)

- "balancing" is strange for me (making weapons/classes/powers unusable or overpowered because they are overpowered or unusable, or because they are overused/totally ignored by players isn't the right way IMO)

- we got a "random" store ONLY

- console support kills a lot of potential of this game on PC

- the game is very sensitive against network latency (much more than any other multiplayer FPS game I know)

- origin

1 main disadvantage: lag with certain classes (mainly casters) when playing non-host.

Everything else is great.
