 This thread is an appeal for a return to the mature sex scenes evident in ME1. This is not to satisfy some base puriant desire but rather an appeal for something more tangible from the romantic pursuits that Bioware games typically provide. Let me clarify;

As of late with ME2 and particularly Dragon Age 2 the sex scenes have been remarkably censored. Instead of the relationship developed over the course of an epic yielding sexual relationships we are provided with what essentially amounts to a really sloppy kiss and a cuddle although it is obviously implied that they engaged in sex. There is a place in a less puritanical western society for sex scenes and done tastefully greatly enhance the experience. ME1 was the perfect example of this. Yes there was nudity but it was far from gratuitous, was loving and ultimately a fitting conclusion to an epic romance. The consumations offered and in ME2 were underwhelming and in the case of pirate nymphomaniac Isabella downright disappointing.

I am aware of Biowares reticence as the media tends to latch on to these things and blow them out of proportion but let me say this. If my kids played this game and it was (for some reason) their only source of sexual education I would be pretty happy. Lets be clear in ME1 you meet a LI engage with them, form an affectionate bond share a coy but tender kiss (almost) and ultimately engage in sexual relations. The LIs are not objectified in any way and the one instance in which they are (renegade Jack) it is implied that such a decision was not ideal (kelly warns against it etc).

Im rambling so ill wrap this up. Please Bioware there is a place in this modern era for sex scenes and done well (as in ME1) they greatly enhance the experience and make the relationships developed even more rewarding. Im not asking for porn but rather a more realistic, mature and satisfying conclusion to otherwise excellent romances

I support this thread!!! The ME1 scenes are the loveliest romance scene in any game hands down. I understand some people's views on sexuality aren't all the same, however I would hope for some sort of way to incorporate something similar for those who'd like it.

It is way too late to ask for anything to change for this game, but I am really hoping the romance brings the level of emotion present in ME1 at the least.

While I won't say "no" to a sex scene with the romances in ME3, I honestly hope they are not similar to the ME1 ones (In the sense that they were all the same, with a different female).

That said, my favorite romance scene so far is Miranda's.

Yeh variety would be good, it goes without saying, but Im refering more to the style of the scene. Additionally out of all the scenes Mirandas was the one that most approached that depicted in the ME1 scenes, at least in my opinion

If we can just get what Miranda and Jacob got in ME2, I'll be happy. There was some skin shown and the sex was obvious, not implied like some of the other romances, but there was nothing gratuitous for the Fox News people to attack.

They've already confirmed it'll be ME2-style, if I remember a tweet from a few months ago.

But more tasteful, stylised stuff a la ME1 would be nice.

In that case simple fade to black would have been nice too and it would have saved them some precious resources.

Yeh a previous post shared you qualm and I do agree but it was the style that interested me a scene that was significant not gratuitous but yes some variety wouldve been nice. Maybe Shep needs some new moves

I believe that they have returned to the ME1 standard in ME3. At least that's what I took the partial nudity to mean.

The romance scenes needed more variation.

I really don't care for naked sex animations when they're exactly the same.

The Partial Nudity is referring to the banshee enemies.

ME2 and DA2 had the same rating as ME3 will have and we know how boring those romance scenes where. I have seen more skin on NBC then in recent games by BioWare this is probably EAs doing do there their games being made for everyone.

Tali would have been a problem. But I agree with the main point, the omission is rather glaring.
