Liara for both Fem and Male Shep. Play Lair of the Shadow Broker as lovers then as friends its no where near as good. Its no longer a courtship its real love that has been sundered somewhat by a 2 year separation. Its tragic, awkward, beautiful and ultimately happy.

Miranda. I like the flow of the romance, and how she opens up as a character to Shepard after helping her save her sister.

At the beginning of the game, Miranda is emotionally detached and relatively cold, but as it progresses, you learn that she is quite loving and caring, and very protective of the people that are close to her, and Shepard just became one of those people. In the end, it feels like a genuine romance.

Possibly Jack's, because I love how she develops through the romance, and opens up to Shepard. But at the same time, I'm not keen on the whole "my lover is my saviour" thing that she, Garrus, and whoever else have going on. Out of the more 'stable' romances, then Ashley, because it's enjoyable, and one of the few I could genuinely see working after all that saving-the-galaxy-business is done.

Liara, mostly because she received the most amount of attention to romance in the writing department. I would like to say Jack because I love the idea of softening her up, but it was just too abrupt and too little dialogue.

Pretty much what I would say.

Second close is Jack. Her Loyalty mission and romance also good and show character progress but Miranda wins with her last line. Posted Image

I believe he was referring to the promise dialogue.

Oh nope, I love how she puts TIM in his place during Suicide Mission. Not romance related but my favorite moment in game. Posted Image

"I noticed. Consider this my resignation" Posted Image

Mass Effect 1: Ashley Williams

Mass Effect 2: Kelly Chambers

I have many playthroughs, but plan on importing my Kelly playthrough first for ME3.

Kaidan and Jack.

Kaidan - I liked his attitude, in both games, and I liked his humor, back story and comments through out the game. I also like Raphael Sbarge's voice.

Jack - was unexpected. I only did the "paragon" romance and I found it very sweet.

I actually liked all of them, (didn't romance Tali). Even Jacob was ok, once I got past the first couple of conversations, and that was BioWare's fault for making Shepard sound awful. If they had been able to separate renegade/paragon comments it might have worked, but none of my Shepards would ever have used that tone of voice on someone they hadn't known for a long long time.

I found Tali's romance most stupid one. I was romancing her to kill her so my loser shep can continue his trend of loosing lovers. If there was a chance I could kill her during her romance lines which all sounded same. Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure? Posted Image

Kaidan,
from the voice, his bashful Flirting, to his deadcation to doing the right thing, i even forgive him for Horizon. he is just a good guy, nothing to fix [ Shepard doesn't need to play Dr Phil]
it's not a one night stand[ Garris] or a Guilt thing [ Thane] or about the looks [Jacob] it just simply is.

In ME1 both romances were about the same. In ME2, I thought that Tali's romance was particularly well done. I am hoping that ME3 improves on the romances available to the player, but vid games have a habit of dropping the ball when it comes to that so while I am hopeful, I won't be disappointed if it happens.

I like Tali as a character, but I never saw her as a romance option.  And i didn't care for the idea that Shepard could treat her like crap in ME1 and she would still romance him in ME2.  She needs therapy for that.:)   If they had hooked the romance on treatment from ME1 it would have made a bit more sense to me.

I cant decide. I loved Liara in the first one, and thought she was a great character. Did not much care for her in the second, where I was fond of both Tali and Garrus.I'm excited to see how things pan out, as I have 2 characters I'm quite happy with, one with Tali and one with Liara and Garrus.

Say what you wish about Miranda as a character (I love her), but you can't deny that her romance is very well done.
