Demo was pretty meh. Shepard is running so slow when not sprinting, textures are super low res, framerate drops at the most odd points even though I far exceed the recommened specs, you can't holster your weapon so you're stuck in supoer low FOV mode and the combat feels very clunky. The VO was pretty bad as well, they lost something.

This is definitely a bargain bin title for me.

Why so serious!? You can return the favor if the final product really turns out to be bad. Otherwise i feel sorry you had to make this post since it's quite long.

I just played the demo on PC and went here and was super excited. Imo, much improved combat, conversations flow like never before and maleshep seem to really have stepped up his game.

If the rest of the game is half as good as the demo it will be a fantastic. I am so hyped I can barely sit still :D

I don't know what demo you played, My playthrough was fine, and smooth. I noticed that the dialog options were a little slim. You must not forget however it is a demo, and it is more or less showing off the gameplay. I disagree with the animations, and the combat system. I feel as though it is redefined. I like it, I believe it's more smooth, and fast-paced. I enjoy the evolving powers I think what Bioware did is pretty cool. While your views are mostly negative, I thought the demo was awesome. I can't wait for the full game.

^THIS x 100

Not to mention after completing the first part of the demo it really made me want to kick some Reaper ass!! I can't wait!

I have the framrate drops, too, and I exceed them as well. I have just come to expect low rez textures from Bioware games by now, but it wasn't too bad. If I could get a steady framerate, I would be very satisfied with it. As of now, I will still retain my preorder.

Sigh. People need to take a chill pill.

It's like all the whine at the DA2 demo when conversations lagged. People need to realize that a demo is a early build; a beta. If it wasn't they wouldn't get it out on time -_-

If there is one thing I hate, it is whining when you've only had the appetizer, saying the whole dinner sucks.

I mostly liked the demo. I assumed that there would be more player-selected-diaogue in the game than the demo, so that didn't bother me really.

I'm curious about two things though - has Wrex's voice actor changed? And also, will the eye colours be toned down a little in the actual game? Some of the colours (the deep blue one especially) look almost irridescent.

On a sidenote, please don't include spoilers even from the demo in here. Revealing plot points casually in a forum which states specifically "NO SPOILERS" is retarded dude.

I think topic starter deserves a kick in the 'daddy bags' if he really thinks this is the final product. Atleast thats what i understand. This demo is a old version. Ofcourse they don't show the final product. I'm not disappointed at all, the game runs really smooth on the pc and looks better then the second game. Stop ruining the fun for others. Logging you out.

agreed.

Just because you like somthing dosn't mean everyone else likes it too.
I also noticed OP giving a number of reasons why he dosn't like it, who are you to disregard everything he said and accuse him of hating it just because "everybody else loves it"?

I was saying that when I criticise something, when I'm making statements and arguements you don't agree with, the only thing you biodrones can do is denounce me as some kind of troll. You're just that far gone.

It should be noted that the biodrones are extremely successful at diverting the discussion away from your valid criticisms towards a discussion about yourself, totally derailing the thread, scaring away other serious people who want to discuss problems of the game, totally succeeding with their "suppress criticism of ME 3" obsession.

Don't fall for it by taking their bait - simply ignore them.

I thought much the same about Mass Effect 2. The writing sucked. Mass Effect's story and dialogue was top-notch.

I am a writer. I have bias...but seriously?

What can I say about the shooting, sound, graphics, voice acting, music, levels, combat, movement- It all lacks "punch." The whole thing feels like the its the lite version for 10 year old retards so that their tiny brains wouldn't fry from the frustration of finding the bloody ladder. When I played ME2 for the first time, I was in awe of the characters, the graphics, the sound and especially the great music which kept the tension and the feeling of fun alive. And when I played ME1 after going through ME2, I felt like I was playing something very old and primitive. When I play this ME3 demo, I feel like I`m playing ME 1.5. yeah, its kinda better than the first one, but It doesn't feel as tight and complete as ME2 does. And for the first 20 minutes (ME1) I was literally amazed by the whole thing- the dialog, the characters, the setting, the music, the feeling that you're in an unknown place with an unknown enemy. ME3 feels like im going through a Russian park- its kinda good looking for minute or so, and there's a fight that's happening next to me, but I feel like I couldn't care less about it or the two russkies apparently losing their teeth, because it feels so distant, and it feels and looks more actually like 2 pigeons fighting for a bit bread. I`m already remembering the good times when I first saw Miranda. At least she evoked some emotion from me, but the wankers in ME3? I already cant stand Ashley and the ape-type-thing-guy. You know what this feels like? Its the bloody Dragon Age 2 ass Effect combo! But its only the demo, so I dunno, I might be wrong. I do hope I`m wrong, and that I`m actually very old and its hard for me to understand new things like calculators and toasters.

Thank god I didn't pre-order and waited for the demo.

Devolving into petty insults about kicking me in the balls? Did I type something you don't like?

Grow up.

Of course they don't show the final product/old version.

The truth will hit you like a bus.

You still haven't addressed your ludicrously offensive proposition that people criticizing you on this forum is akin to Germany under Hitler or the USSR under Stalin.

Umm nope. You're reading comprehension skills need to be improved.

"It's like **** germany or Stalin's russia in here, we aren't allowed to criticise things."

Sorry, what you actually said was that your speech is being oppressed to the point where you feel as if you're in Germany under Hitler or the USSR under Stalin.  Which is much better, obviously. Again, this is incredibly offensive and causes people not to take you seriously.

I never said " people criticizing you on this forum is akin to Germany under Hitler or the USSR under Stalin."

I was saying that when I criticise something, when I'm making statements and arguements you don't agree with, the only thing you biodrones can do is denounce me as some kind of troll. You're just that far gone.

Yes, and you invoked Germany under Hitler and the USSR under Stalin to do so, thereby equating your situation with theirs. I don't think you realize how offensive this is.

Wow. This is the internet. Go be a cry baby some place else.

Yes, because on the internet, it's OK to use historical tragedies for temporary personal benefit while arguing about a video game.

i understand what you mean , but it is called a "demonstration" for a reason you know? all the things will be improved in the full game

I am gonna personally write a very strongly worded letter to voice my disapproval.

Well not like there is much to accomplish. The game is gold and it will be the last of the trilogy. Might as well play the full game and then complain.

If this is the quality though count me out for ME4. ME3 ends this arc, but after that I have just as much interest in ME than I have in Dragon Age. Dragon Age 2 killed my interest in the series and frankly DA3 can't continue the series in a way that would tempt me to buy it, DA2s "cliffhanger" was weak.

Gameplaywise this seems a tad better than ME2, which really isn't a compliment.

Hmm I played through the demo on both xbox and PC. I thought some of the animations were a bit stiff, but overall, this demo has made me even more excited about the game. I might add that I thought the demo looked great on the PC.
I guess I played a different demo then the OP, or maybe my tastes are different or maybe I am an alien, or.............
