I don't need your parenting joe, and less so your insults. If you think you are doing us a favour, here's an insight: you aren't. You just pass like a jerk that enjoys spiting at people and forums.

They also cut dialogue to avoid spoilers. Its a demo remember they don't want to spoil the whole story

Oh please. There's that phrase again, "It's a demo".

Whatever. You're all so far gone.

This is exactly what was said when the DA2 demo was released. Look what happened.

Except that a lot of us have seen videos of the leaked beta which had the expanded Sur'kesh level and there was a lot of dialogue.

Yup, but even then people wish to complaint and say that it's still not enough because Shepard says just a few , rational words on his own.

I saw the sur'kesh beta and didn't think there was a lot of choice, and still an awful lot of auto-dialogue.
Do you get more chances to talk on earth with Anderson than in the demo?

You're kidding me, right? didn't you see the hub area when you start the mission?

I still don't understand people like joe who go all the trouble to make a jersey shore joke avatar and spend hours lurking and writing on a forum about a game they already despise.

All of this to tell us how stupid we are for being hyped for a bioware game coz EA!, ec. I just have to conclude that these are sad, confused and somewhat demented people

I'm just trying to re-adjust expectations for this game down to a reasonable level.  Over-hype and over-expectation are the quickest ways to ruin a gaming experience.  If anything, I'm trying to do you all a favor so that when the realization hits you that the nay-sayers were right all along, you won't be too surprised and dissapointed.

Look at what happened to DA2.  The devs lied through their teeth about what the game was going to be, and when the backlash came, they blamed the poor reception on a "misalignment of player expectation."

They're right.  The players expected it to be good.

They never lied about it, and most of the problems with that game was the poor use of recycling the same dungeon over and over again, and choices that don't really matter, both of those are already proven wrong for ME3, just by reading the script you know how important the choices in this game are.

Oh dear, you brought the "choices matter" debate into this.  It's about to get really ugly in a few posts most likely.

To those questioning why I'm here: I loved ME1, liked ME2, and so far, from everything I've seen and heard, am convinced ME3 is going to be more watered-down, ignorant mass market garbage. Ergo, I am voicing my opinion, same as everyone else.

The turn Bioware has taken of late is most troubling, and as someone who cares about the quality of games, I find it offensive what little regard they give to the established fan base of their games. They have diluted, dumbed down and stripped out anything resembling player choice, and what we're left with is an on-rails space derpfest blockbuster. "Welcome to Earf!" *punch*

If that's what you want, congrats! I guess ignorance really is bliss.  (I'm not insulting anyone here, I'm just saying that if you haven't experienced other games with well-done choice and consequence, then I can understand how you wouldn't notice it missing in this one).

It's to be expected, of course, but the denial of so-called fans on these boards is appalling.

Bioware has gone and taken a colossal dump on this franchise, and you're all trying to convince yourselves it's the best thing ever. It's like the space emperor's new clothes. Ask yourselves this: are you fans of Bioware, or Mass Effect?

If it's the former, fine, stick your head in the sand, call me a hater and go about your business. But if it's the latter, then take a deep breath, look at this demo for what it is, and consider whether or not that's really what any rational person would expect for the conclusion of this epic rpg trilogy.

The writing has been on the wall for months. Open your eyes.

Have you seen the leaked script, have you read it? If not, please shut up, cause you dont know a damn thing about this games plot. You think some 40 min demo justifies a whole game that has 40 00 lines of dialogue?

Since when did he mention plot? Plot is completely irrelevant to his post.

I have to agree, the denial of the fans such as yourself is insanity.

So, you're here to talk us all out of buying the game? Are you here to insult us? What exactly is the point? If we loved the demo before reading your review, we're supposed to change our minds? What's your goal here? Want to get attention? Rile people up? Are people who don't agree with you - threatening?  Do you feel the need to - control people?

Yes, I have, and without going into spoiler territory, from all indications every CHOICE is a FLAVOR choice, i.e., the same thing ultimately happens, just in a different way.  That is not choice and consequence, that is false choice and irrelevance.

Pretty sure it was in rpg mode.  You talk to him but you're only ever offered a couple of choices on the dialogue wheel outside of the investigate bit on the left hand side and it really goes nowhere.  then its back to the action and lots of auto-dialogue

Hmm... I'm a mass effect nut and I loved the Demo.... guess I'm in the wrong target audience than you huh?

Honestly, if you're THAT upset over the game, I'd just leave my friend.

I've had hundreds of hours invested into ME1/2/Novels/ and tie ins and hundreds of dollars into memorabilia and so forth and if i felt the franchise strayed or was something not to my liking.... I doubt I'd even post a complaint and just be done with it.

Simple. No Fuss No Muss. Its just a game and an entertainment venue after all.

Luckily, I'm still loving the series and the Demo as cut as it was (didn't read script as I dont like spoilers myself) was still great fun for me and makes me even MORE excited for ME3.

But ya know,d ifferent strokes for different folks.

You mean just like in Mass Effect 1? Where the only differences are cosmetic at best? Save the Rachni Queen or kill her. What difference does it make for the rest of the story in that game? Kill Ashley or Kaiden. Same end result with a different gender swapped in. Save the council or abandon them. You still get the same ending except with a few less aliens.

Or have I missed the massive, plot-twisting choices in the game?
