i had an idea, if i rent battefield 3 and use my spare points to buy an online pass can i play MP then?

yeah but i have like 2500 spare points and i can start a free trial rental with love film. its better than what others are doing (buying passes from ebay)

Doesn't it have to be a LE code? If so, you can't purchase those any more...

Could be totally wrong, I just think I saw some guy up in arms on another forum because he only had standard edition, and MP wasn't workin for him...

You should be able to get a 48 hour temporary BF3 Online Pass by going to https://onlinepass.b...d.com/index.php and following the instructions.  It worked for me.  Of course, anyone who does this (including myself) may have to buy an actual BF3 online pass (for 800 MSP) once the temporary one expires.  I suppose you could try to get another temporary online pass.  This should carry you over until 02/17/2012; assuming getting a 2nd temporary pass works.  BTW, I bought a used copy of BF3 just in case, since IIRC you need to purchase the Online Pass (for 360 at least) thru the in-game Menu.  Hope this helps...

You need the code AND you need to load up battlefield and connect to their servers through the game.

I never actually played Battefield 3.  I did, however, install the game and updates to my 360 HDD and created a Multiplayer Avatar.  BUT, I never played an online match.  When you get a temporary code, that code is automatically linked to your Xbox Live Gamertag or your Playstation Network Account.  So, when you start the Mass Effect 3 Demo, you should be able to play the Multiplayer before 02/17/2012.  I was able to play the Multiplayer (Xbox Live) this morning at approximately 7:30 AM EDT.  Just follow the URL I provided above.

If your temporary BF3 Online Pass expires BEFORE 02/17/2012, you might have to buy a permanent BF3 Online Pass( for 800 MSP).  I plan on trying to get another temporary code first.  If that doesn't work, I have enough MSP saved up.  So, I will just buy the permanent BF3 Online Pass thru the BF3 in-game menu.  Hope this helps...

Yes.  It looks like you will have to buy / rent / borrow BF3 and at least start BF3 Multiplayer to unlock early access to ME3 Demo Multiplayer.

There was *originally* going to be an alternate way (or ways) to get early access to the ME3 Demo Multiplayer.  The following quote is from a post by one of the Forum Mods: "There will be another program whereby players and fans of the Mass Effect franchise can unlock this early access (with no purchase necessary) – this will also be announced in late November or early December."  The original post / thread can be seen here:  http://social.biowar...54052/1#8554052
