I downloaded the demo on my 360 and it went perfectly. I played through the single player part, but when I tried to get on for multiplayer this popped up,
"You do not have access to online multiplayer at this time. Please try again later"
Not the exact words but the overall jist of it.
I have a gold membership, I have an EA account, I have internet access.
Help?
Can't access the online multiplayer?

Multiplayer goes up on the 17th unless you have the Battlefield 3 Early Access thing.

what if you have the BF3 Early Access and still can't play? I even changed my xbox live mail to be the same as origin just to make sure that wasn't it but nothing's happened.

I registered my game serial on origin, but as far as I've seen there's no specific serial for early access to ME3 demo.
(and yes, I preordered the game, ltd edition with back to karkand inkluded)
When I go to the origin site and log in the site doesn't recognize that I have an xbox live account (I looked all over for an option to add it but finally I just changed my xbox mail to the same as origin but still nothing's happened)

Don't keep your hopes up, EA's linking to Xbox LIVE has never worked as it should and I've had to create 5 different accounts until I (so far) got it to work..

Yeah, forum bugs! I've logged in three times selecting "remember me", and my whole comment just got deleted because I keep getting logged out. 
Anyways, it sure would have been nice if you guys could have taken 10 seconds to put a tip or proper error message in the demo. I wasted a bunch of time trying to figure out why I need an Origin account on xbl, and why the MP doesn't work. Seriously, how hard is it to put a simple message in the demo that explains this gimicky early access thing? These gimicky tie-ins just make me less interested in the game, especially when they waste my time because they aren't explained making the demo seem buggy. I wish game devs adopted the K.I.S.S. mentality! I'm getting so tired of these buy-now/get this, first purchase perks, extra online accounts required, own another game to get a perk for this game, pre-order perks, etc, etc, etc.
Honestly, it's too much, and I'm just not buying as many new games any more because of it. Might as well just wait for the price drops, or buy used and get a better value. Keep it simple, affordable and gimick-free guys!
Rant asside, the SP campaign seemed decent. Graphics were good and Kinect voice combat was great! I thought the story would have a more dramatic or emotional resonance though. But the dialog felt simplified and flat on what should be an EPIC battle for survival!
"The Reapers are here. Oh. I told you they'd come. I guess I'll go to the citadel and see if anyone wants to help us. But first, I'll make a random, unexplained stop to rescue some Krogans. Weird, not sure why." Should have got the writers from Battlestar or The Walking Dead to help with the story's action and drama!

If you had read the loading-screen between the two missions you'd have seen that the second mission is further into the campaign. I'm pretty sure that we visit the citadel before we go rescuing any krogan females in the full game.
As for dialogue, well it's obviously not the full options seeing as how this is only a demo.

Probably one of these:
Xbox live account isn't linked to your origin account.
Xbox live account isn't linked to the origin account where you've registered BF3
You don't have the early access and have to wait until friday when it ends and the MP Demo goes online for everyone.

No there was supposed to be free gold until the 6th when you downloaded the ME 3 demo. Not just free ME 3 multiplayer. If it was just for ME 3 it'd make more sense for the full game. Especially since it's been single player to this point.
