So Ashly went from strong marine chick to a Meranda like fighting model.

Honestly, having been in the process of replaying ME1 lately...

Ash would definitely dress up sexy when she had time. Like, damn clearly. She may have been a soldier, but she was flirtatious and quite confident in herself.

Anyhow, on the subject of realism... eh. I prefer the halfway point, where you take "realism" and then just adjust it some for style.

I agree.

And about the make up issue.... Ashley did in fact wear make-up in ME1. Back then, I noticed her eyes, and lips, possibly her face too. The hair thing, though... yes... her hair should be up in combat. So stick a helmet on her head and hey, hey... problem solved! There's even a toggle :)

I'm a guy, making fun of insecure feminists.

I'm guessing we havent met, or you would've have known about my love of posting that comment on femshep threads.

Because of fan reaction they caved enough to give her proper armour. Yes it's a re-colour of FemShep's ME2 default and I'll be shocked if they haven't shoved heels on the boots but let's just chalk this one up as a victory and move on.

I wouldn't go patting yourself on the back. I remember before all this outrage happened that Casey tweeted Ash would have armor, yet everyone refused to believe it or just plain ignored it. So they always intended for her to have armor. I think all the whining just made them push it out sooner.

Right...which is why it took months for a screen shot to show up and why the CE re-colours of everyone's armour has Ashley still in the catsuit.

The only reason we had any real information before that was leaks or glimpses.  It's not as if they were spreading around screenshots of all the squadmates besides Ashley.  There wasn't much information about everyone at the time.

She (Ashley) is my LI from ME1 and skipped all LI's in ME2 in order to not be just another man hoe, so that could continue relationship with her in ME3. I like the way she looks and I am glad they [improved] her appearance to what currently is. I have never liked how Miranda looks, her face is too pug like.

QFT. Miranda's Franken-face was a definite turn-off.

Wow so OP is complain that Ash looks more like a female officer now then a front line soldier,.... love the new look, glad the ugly armor is gone, a least now she looks like a woman and less like a boy. Don't see anyone complaining a bout Laira's boob job...

Did Liara really get a boob job? Or are those Asari sex pheromones starting to get to us?

Ok, ok so it looks like a lot of people noticed Liara's "upgrades" (although no one seems bothered by them) Thanks, it's nice to know I'm not imagining things

I knew there was something different about her that I couldn't quite put my finger on.   I've played ME2 well over a dozen times and noticed but didn't notice....if that makes sense.  Never registered.  Guess I'm a bit slow.

To the OP: What a load of crap. My wife wears makeup (minimal) when we do 12 hour, 2-day hikes in the mountains near us. Just because a woman wears makeup in a physical situation, doesn't mean she's any less tough. Sorry, OP, but you sound like another "male feminist", a guy who says things he thinks females will love and are "politically correct". The game is gold, Ashley looks great, get over it.

*shrugs* i guess not . . . there's a lot (A LOT) that i wish BW would correctly do, like stop calling Marines soldiers, etc, etc but its just a game so idc

Mass Effect 2 just screams "I'm a game"

I think Mass Effect 1 aspired to be a true homage to old science fiction films.

ME2 however wasn't trying to be anything like that. Indeed it just wanted to be a good game. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I find it less interesting.

Very true, I remember that ME1 even had a grainy film mode to make it seem as if it was an old sci-fi film
