I still think showing Tali's face would be a terrible mistake on Bioware's part. It would ruin the mystique of the whole thing and I guarantee that most fans will be disappointed.

1. Show her face

2. Make her human-like but not too human. "Pretty"or "cute" but in a alien yet familiar way.

3. Avoid the kitsch

4. That means Find the common denominator, both pop-culturally, but also personally regarding Tali.

That gives: Her looks are a mix between human and an alien, preferable a half human, half grey alien hybrid of her voice actress.

That is how you solve it folks.

My god, that freaking terrifying, but oddly enough, it kind of fits, maybe less goat like, but still.

Personally, I like the pic posted earlier in the thread. With the Quarian body type, a Human-esque face would be weird. Thus, alien enough for me.

If Tali's face is revealed I think the design team should sort of go the same route that they went in designing the Drell. Not that the Quarians should look like the Drell, but rather that the Drell represent a species that equally combines human and alien features. The Drell aren't as similar to humans as the Asari, and they aren't as alien in appearance as the Krogan or Salarians. That middle ground is what the design team should aim for. That way Tali would neither be repulsive (like the photo above) or so human in appearance that it would warrant a gazillion facepalms for it's blatant lore breaking fan service.

The aim should be to design something that has just enough human features to be attractive to most Talimancers, and just enough alien features that the aliens actually look like aliens.
