I don't like the cover/sprint/roll controls being matched to the same button. Often, when I want to go into cover, I roll. When I want to sprint I roll. Maybe some separate buttons? It's really deadly when you are in combat.

So i was playing the demo today and it was very bad. I know it's just a demo, but it's also the finished product this late in production. The game doesn't allow holstering weapons because of memory problems? Maybe if they took out some gay sex scenes they would be able to fit in more gameplay and better background images. They included an option for the game to CHOOSE dialogue for you, what kind of bull**** is that? They also an inexcusably expensive caste of voice actors and turned Jessica Chobot into an avatar for the only sole purpose i can think of which is FANSERVICE and not just typical fanservice, it's so you can fulfill your dark fantasy of having 3d avatar homosex with her. This is NOT a game, it's a poorly written novel by a fat lady who has no choice but to tack on "gameplay" because the video game audience is the only group of people on the planet who have never exposed themselves to good literature due to being lazy and fat and can appreciate such a spewing of diatribe and an insult to science fiction that is MASS EFFECT 3

Pros:
Dat audio (seriously it's fantastic)
Powers are so much better. IE branching powers is great. Nova and Tactical cloak are now my favorite things ever.
Combat is overall better. I'm glad thatyou don't need to strip every enemies protection to use powers effectively.
Squad banter. Hell yes.

Cons:
Adept, Sentinel and Engineer can't be used properly because of the weapon cooldown.
No snipers or Heavy weapons. In fact not being able to pick weapons to use (though that links with the above point).
A button does too much (taking cover, running, jumping over cover and selecting/picking something up).
It's caused dozens of stupid threads (half serious).

something to tell ... short before reching the end of the first mission, I was able to step from the ground and "flew" above the water. Or should better say ... did not fall into it.

lol what? i made perfectly valid points and the only thing you could say was that you were tired of other peoples opinions. Stanely Woo steped in because everyone on this forum derails threads that hint at juxtaposed opinions to ME3.

You're the one bothering to respond which implies that you are butthurt in reality.

Valid? When you use words like 'homosex', make broad statements about the videogame audience and generally make up a load of BS it makes you look like a moron and the all points you make also seem stupid.

Chris,
The demo was excellent! The first mission sets the tone for the game. If you guys wanted to create a sense of dread and hopelessness, than you succeeded! What can earth do against thousands of mile high machines that want to destroy us all? A fleet couldn't take down sovereign, and that was just one of them. I still don't know how we're gonna win. I also liked the emotion conveyed in it as well. The kid at the beginning kinda makes you get attached to him when you find him later in the air vent. All I could think was, "I'm betting he's gonna stow away on the Normandy and there will be a nice mission for him later. Why else would they keep showing him." Seeing his final fate was quite emotional, and reminded me that there will be heavy losses and there's a whole galaxy that needs Shepard.
As for the gameplay, it felt... Weird. Sorry to say that, but it could be because I just got done playing Mass Effect 2 and it feels different. Not bad, but those little differences are throwing me off.
All together, I'm very excited to see the beginning of the end.

I ha a blast with the demo. Nitpicking aside it is just a fun game. Now I know demos are often polished separately from the actual game, but if me3 is as good as the demo then it's a must have. I loved the scale of the reaper attack.

My only problems with it were things like the run animation and overly shiny skin on characters. I also had a bug happen where there was no line of sight blocking with the shuttle walls. A part of the demo has a shuttle low hover with attackers in it. One hid behind the shuttle wall and could both shot at me and be shot through the wall.

I am really really glad that I like Sheploo and most of my chars have the default male face. I've just started a run with default FemShep and what has been done to her is atrocious. She's so cute in a trailer and a horrendous deformed face chick in the game?

I know about the real model for Sheploo and all but is that really an excuse? So many other games have beautiful in game faces. ME3 is trying to take the title from Arcania (wrongly called gothic 4) as the most horrendous chick faces in the history of video games?

Someone please make a mod to have Triss Merigold as Commander Shepard. We deserve it!

Other than that, the demo is still great after half a dozen runs with it! =)

Only problem I have is getting shot through cover, and I don't mean the head sticking out thing. LITERALLY THROUGH cover. Obviously it's the future and it would be hard to believe there wouldn't be upgraded fmj but it kinda defeats the point of a cover system if you can still be shot while in cover. Otherwise it was fantastic.

I had this issue too.  Noticed in the Sur'kesh (sp) level mostly.

The sound was inconsistent. Volume kept dropping and then coming back, especially the voices.

Too many things mapped to the A key.

Too much auto-dialogue, this is my biggest worry.

Was fun, though. I am cautiously optimistic.

There's only one thing I want to complain about. When I entered the face code of my "canon" character into the ME3 face editor, I thought I'd made a mistake; apparently, I did not. I'm not a big fan of the new face editor... :(

Ok. I think I was hitting the sprint button... Thanks!

Wow. That sounds really dumb now that I read it lol

I believe that the CC codes for ME3 are gonna be different from ME2 because there are some new features on the sliders.

i loved the demo, as ever, brilliant work lads.

constructive criticism:

- didn't like the stiff unnatural body expressions of some of the characters at times...it's overly dramatic and simply weird to looks at;

- as a PC player, i've come to expect a certain visual quality these days when it comes to textures and things, and frankly some of the textures in the game are simply horrible...like Anderson's uniform or the skin on the faces of some characters, also some of the reapers and also the Atlas Mechs have really BAD clipping issues related to their limbs and joints, would be nice to see those sorted;

many a big thank yous for the option for helmets of shep and the team...having them on/off depending on situation/dialogue/combat is a brilliant option, thanks for listening to the fans guys!

if only you would bring back in-game loading screens like elevator rides or decontamination...WAY better and a lot more immersive than stupid loading screens with pointless animations that loop forever.

i've preordered my N7 edition, thank you for this brilliant experience of Mass Effect.

I loved the demo as well, awesome. I think I don't need to point out what is positive. But one thing bothered me.

I don't like how Garrus and Liara run, it doesn't feel organic at all. I hope there will be a patche to fix that.

Combat was great for the most part. I kept accidently rolling into cover when I wanted to go forward, or vice versa, but that will take some getting used to. I like how Shepard can climb things now.

I loved how I could actually use biotics! Still a heavy reliance on guns, but at least my biotic Shepards can naturally rely on their mage-like gifts.

I don't like not being able to use any powers until the cooldown is finished. I would prefer something more like ME1, personally.

I love the new power, Nova. LOVE LOVE LOVE. It makes me want to play as a Vanguard once and for all.

Please keep the squad banter, and put more in, either within combat or during cutscenes or simply walking I love it. LOVE IT. I also love how expressive people are, and the movie-quality of the cutscenes. They're fabulous.

The face creator takes some getting used to. I was hoping we could get the default FemShep haircut, because I'm not a fan of the old default FemShep haircut, nor of the new long-haired one. The longer-haired one was perfected then exclusively given to the new default FemShep, whereas the generic ME3 incarnation looks like a kid's haircut, to be honest.

Lighting needs to be better on the CC. Honestly, it's a step back into ME1. Shepards in the CC almost look completely different in the game. Also, I can't see any makeup options. :(

Overall, the demo made me stoked to play ME3.

The only problem I have is character creation, and I'm just wondering is this a thread for just venting, or is our opinion of the demo going to put into consideration, Chris? Anyone?

I encountered a bug I also saw a few times in ME2. When you pose the action to place your skills in the hot keys, when I put my cursur over one ability, it is as if the cursor was somewhere else and I end up selecting nothing or selecting a skill situated elsewhere. It's rather anoying.

Also, while I was trying to unpause actio and repause to place the skill, the game just crashed. I'm a bit dispointed that I see the same bug in Me3 that was in ME2...
