Really, you expect us to read something about the demo that takes longer to scan than it did to play?
Yes, because I expect people who play a story driven RPG to have a longer attention span than a three year old with ADD. If what I wrote takes you longer than 2 mins to read, that's not my problem.
And it tells me everything I need to know about the audience bioware now caters to, and why it can get away with so much sloppy writing.

Wrex talks about making Shepard an honorary Krogan, accuses him of getting soft while facing the Atlas, and even Garrus said something during the fight but can't remember what.
Tip: Turn subtitles on
Aaahhh!! I remember Wrex saying that about the honorary Krogan! but I missed the rest >.< *shame on me*
I should go to replay right now
Thanks!

Btw, Hale's "we fight or we die" line is more convincing than Meer's. Just saying.
Although there was the "who the f<yay>k is this big space marine guy and how does he and Shep know each other?" effect.

As for the game:
I'm pretty certain there are actually much more conversations in the final game, you just didn't want to spoil it. With that in mind:
I think you did it.
I think you managed to pull the impossible, bringing together Mass Effect 3 as is should be.
Got some minor bugs, but they were indeed minor, I couldn't even remember what they were.
Salute to the team who optimalized it for PC, it runs perfectly on the highest setting (although there isn't much to tinker with there, is it? )in 1080p on a five years old PC.
So nice job, now get some sleep.
As for the demo itself: It could have used more variety in equipment and weaponry, I was seriously surprised when I got a Mattlock on my sniper too. The point of testing the Infiltrator class was to test if I shall reroll my inf or the Sniper is still viable in CQC too, but there was no real opportunity to do it. But anyways, not much to complain about, it's pretty good for a demo.

About the Main Menu music: is this the final and complete track? it's only 1 minute long and a really nice track in itself, but doesn't seem to fit 100% imho.
Pros:
-Sound effects and the music overall is mindblowingly awesome. Not a bad thing to say here.
-Nice lighting effects and graphics.
-Cutscenes look delicious.
-The stat bars in the Squad Menu.
-Extensive power branching.
-The combat roll is a nice addition. A double A tap to perform the roll would be a better idea though, because sometimes accidental rolls were performed when I just wanted to take cover or activate an item.
- Challenging combat that requires use of tactics.
Cons:
-Too bad there's not much difference between Paragon and Renegade answers. It doesn't really matter which reply you choose, the scene will always play out the same way. Plus, I didn't see any neutral choices.
-The running animations during the Earth mission look awkward, like there are animations missing... too sudden and too much flopping around with the arms.
-Why no trial during the intro, BioWare?!
-Enemies sometimes glitch/slide over the floor when in cover. Also, Shepard moving from one wall to another (45 degrees) looks a bit clunky, like there's some animations missing.
-Lip synching isn't always spot-on.
-Gamespeed (when in combat) might be a little bit too fast - somewhere between ME2 and 3's current speed might work better imo.
Compared to the Earth level, I enjoyed the Sur'Kesh mission more... a lot of action and the running with armor on looks better than in the Earth part. Wrex is awesome and glorious in pretty much every scene. A pity there's no Weapon Workbench to fiddle around with or in-depth conversations to be had.

But the ME3 demo had me hopping with antipication the moment I finished the Earth Section. The urgency, the conversations (particularly between Anderson and Shepard) and the general feel and lovely graphics have only increased my expectations of the game.
My girlfriend thought Shepard had 'changed' and I agreed but it wasn't a bad change. He certainly finally looked as if the pressure/politics had kind of ground him down a touch. I liked that my shields took a while to take down and I particularly liked that health drops super fast if you lose the shields, but then thats my playstyle anyway.
Nicely made bit with the little boy as well, hopefully all the future scenes will be on the money like that scene. Panning out of Earth just simply made me feel "ah crap" in every good way possible.
Can't comment on the Wrex mission though as I get the feeling that bit is heavily cut. But as far as intros and a starter demo goes, I'm sold and my faith in bioware is re-affirmed. Can't wait!

But I sincerely hope that Bioware cut out a LOT of content in the intro/first level becuase that was the most rushed intro into a game i think ive ever played. I learned nothing, it was tedious (how many times do i have to tell people Reapers are here.) and it was just dull. I hope I hear something about how they edited out the spoilers or something.

Don't know if that's a glitch or something... (is it Urdnot Wreav's voice maybe?).
Yes, this has been confirmed as a glitch.

Roleplay option when starting a game should be the top default option above Action and Story.
Using 1920x1080 resolution the UI is REALLY REALLY SMALL. Could do with it being bigger or having a UI scale option/slider.
Double clicking mouse button WORKS!!! OMG! Good, it works selecting and upgrading powers.....so now i assume it will work in other situations where we would expect it too.
No quick weapon select hotkeys is a disapointment.
Mouse wheel scrolling WORKS! It works in the keybinding screen so i assume it will work in other situational screens like the codex etc.
Sometimes it seemed like i was shot through cover, unless it was the AI headshotting me really often.
Enforcing 4 guns in the 2nd part was a really bad oversight though and damages almost every class and zaps the fun out of them.
I like the BF'esque hit reg and the weapon sounds are nice and beefy.
Love the new branching skills options. Great change there
Overall i really liked it....But also hated that i couldnt continue the story for a few more weeks

Thought the same thing. Other than that though, the demo is AWESOME! Really like all the new gameplay mechanics.burr beer wrote...
Enforcing the 4 gun loadout in the second mission really crippled every class except the soldier in terms of gameplay. It will definitely discourage players who haven't played mass effect before and are trying the demo from using powers as they take too long to recharge.
Other than that, the length was pretty good for a demo.
Actually, I was surprised by how well Vanguard played even with 4 weapons. I was able to charge and use Nova repeatedly in a very successful order on insanity. Still, for classes such as the Adept and Sentinel, I can easily see it becoming a problem. And then there's the lack of sniper rifles in the demo, which I'm sure Infiltrators aren't too happy about.
I'm very excited to try out the other classes. Anti-Aliasing could use some work, and I would love to see a high-res texture pack (Oh, God, the Atlas!
Overall, the game is looking great and playing pretty well. Rolling is weird to get used to, but fun nonetheless.
LOVING how the Vanguard can sprint into a heavy melee ground pound.

I loved the demo, but I really only have 1 complaint.
Shepard walks/runs so damn slow.
Also, not really a complaint, but can we have an option to toggle the hit markers? I'm fine with them in a multiplayer game, but don't really care to have them in single player games.
One more thing, I thought the new mechanics like rolling and moving from cover to cover worked really well. I didn't randomly pop out or anything.

And are we basically tasting the demo from last year's E3, or is what we're playing thru the final product? (Mainly thinking of the intro here)

Aye, but the bright side is that I he/she doesn't get tired this time. You can run all you want.

Wrex's voice is a glitch, apparently using Wreav's lines instead. As for Mordin, well, his ME2 VA isn't coming back.Theobuomai wrote...
Did anyone else feel that Wrex's and Mordin's voices sounded a bit off?

Forgive me if there are some spelling mistakes.
There is but something i got to say before the good/bad part: I think the demo did a pretty bad job, at showing new players what the game feels like.
Now my thoughts:
Good:
- Graphics. Sweet.
- Soundtrack. Love it, as always.
- Dynamic level design.
- Gun Audio is just amazing.
- Power Evolve System looks great.
- Noticed different Animations between female & male. Hell yeah!! <3
- Much better AI. Squad & Enemies.
- Character Creation: It is much easier to create a good looking Shep.
- Better Hair, though I always wished it to move, even if there would have been the slightest movement.
- More mature, for what i've seen(blood).
Bad:
- Normal walk speed is too slow, and looks a bit odd.
- Sprintinganimation. It's just weird.
- Rollanimation: When you finished rolling, it seems like shepard is stopping for a short moment. Like a wall is in front of him.
- Had issues with rolling/cover, especially at the atlas fighting part, e.g. when I wanted to get out of cover I sometimes moved to nearby cover(which exposed me).
- Some Textures. Like Andersons uniform(close-up).
- Little thing I noticed: When Shepard jumps onboard the Normandy an talks with Anderson, all noise of reapers tearing buildings apart(i think every noise, besides Normandy's) was gone.
Overall i have to admit that you guys did a really, really great job(mean it). If you are able to resolve the existing issues, there will be only one thing to say to ME3:
LEGEN... wait for it.. DARY!! LEGENDARY!!!!
