1. Character Creation = Holy Crap!! FemShepard looks like she was made from 10 different women! *nexts a plastic surgeon here!!
2. I need to know if they ment the demo to have really really bad armor details? SWToR - Clone!!
3. Anderson look like he was mauled by a Korgan a Few Times.. what Gives?!
4. Oh Oh .. Did someone give Ashely a Fork it to her Face? Somebody!! Please Fix it, she's even uglier then a Karadasian..
5. Rocket Science - WooT Smooth Game Play, more Interactions, BUT I kinda miss hacking the doors manually..
6. Didn't Find the OMNI Blade - Pathetic.............................................................................
I'll buy it in the name of BioWare since SWToR looks the same way.. Crappy..
This Ain't a TROLL !! It's my Opinion about Mass Effect 3 Demo..

The combat became more interesting, yes. But I don't play ME for shooter experience anyways. There are tons of other shooters, and it's sad that ME team decided to go that route instead of developing more complex and involving story.
Everything else feels lacking. Graphics is too sterile and lifeless. The city felt dead even before Reaper attack. But graphics is not that important either. The most frustrating thing was the story and the way it was presented.
From the look of it, the story is heavily scripted even in RPG-mode. You can't react to Ashley the way you want, you can't react to that kid moment the way you want, you can't even pick the companions you want to have with you on the mission (I DON"T WANT your Liara, give me my Wrex for that mission! You could have Legion on Flotilla if you wanted, why not do the same with Wrex on Surkesh?).
If you are so inclined to make some unified Shepard for all the players, why not stop this hypocrisy "your choices matter" get rid of custom Shepards at all? Would be more fair than current situation. Just make sole canon character like Witcher Geralt or Adam Jensen and get over with it.
Let me decide if my Shep cares for Earth, for that kid, wants to speak to Ashley, wants to team up with Liara etc or what's the point of having custom Shepards?.
If the rest of the game is designed the same way, too bad. It's too late to change anything at this stage:(
So, I really hope that scenes in the demo got severely cut for time/size reasons and in full release the game is much better. Otherwise the perspective is very disheartening.

There were freaking sprites. In a 2012 game. FREAKING SPRITES.
I just can't get over it. The animations were jerky as well.
INB4 this post gets deleted just because I didn't like this game.
All 3D games use 2D elements to render background elements, otherwise no user-end computer will be able to run a those games.
So complaining that there are sprites in a 2012 game isn't a reasonable complain. Now, those sprites moving in a different direction than the one indicated by the sprite animation... is better argument.
Let's hope that the final version addresses this, but personally this is not part of my worries.

If you watch the "Sound of the Reaper Invasion" video and skip to 4:20, you'll see that Anderson's animations are more realistic. There was also a "Follow Anderson" crosshair and a distance indicator which proves that a lot of stuff was stripped from the demo.

i played mass effect 2 demo last night and i must say its easily 10x better than the mass effect 3 demo. the controlls feel more tight, theres more optional dialoogue/quests, the sound is better and it runs great(ps3). im a little worried. i will not pre order this game, i have to wait for reviews.
That's what makes this so shocking. ME2 was a game that had almost universal acclaim. Sure some people hated but thats nothing new. ME3 looks like it's backwards not forwards.
You just can't parody ME2 like that because the game just won't let you do it. The quality is too high.

The PS3 demo was released 1 year after the ME2 was released.

The Mass Effect 2 demo was released ~ 5-6 months (June 2010) later than the full game, which was released on 28. January 2010.
This demo was done before it reached its gold status.
I think there is a difference

That being the case why has no one said "guys calm down it's an old build" ? They did when people complained about how glitchy KOA was (and indeed the full game is fixed).
One line and 99% of negative comments go away.
Having been around for DA2 that could well be the finished game. What you see in the demo is what you get.

But don't you find it odd that the developers are not clamouring to dispel these "rumours" ? Hell I'd have been here on day one telling everyone that the code was six months old pre final "polishing" if that were the case.

I was hesitant to try the demo after the bitter disappointment of DA2 demo and game last year. But,, I was seeing some interesting comments on the boards here, so I figured I would give it a try.
what I really like is the breakdown of action, rpg and story. I played on story. It was just right! Just enough challenge for me to feel like I am having fun saving the galaxy by taking out bad guys, but not so hard that I keep dying and getting frustrated. If the main game sticks to the same way of doing things, then I believe I may really enjoy this game!
the graphics and music seemed good to me. I did enjoy the sounds of the guns. Seemed more crisp or something, I dunno! I loved the intro with the lil spaceship bobbing up and down, then pan out and we see its a kid playing "shuttle jockey"! brilliant! instantly immersive!
I am not a big fan of the run and jump and climb ladders thing. We shall see how it plays out in the main game. I didn't think I would like the rolling thing, but actually it was kinda cool! I didn't have any trouble going in and out of cover. When in cover, I pull back on my stick and shep pops right up and is ready to go, just like in ME2. Of course, I was playing on story mode, but I don't think that should effect the mechanics of movement.
I didn't look into the new talent trees much. I noticed a few new things. Look like fun! I don't know what the loadout limit thing is. I didn't run into that, so I will see later down the road how that works for me. I hope the cooldowns and weapons load is similar to ME2, with only a few improvements. Please, please, not like DA2, where my health potions went to a six month cooldown. (cringes)
I liked the new monsters and the look of them. I liked the new outfits and the new look with armor and such! It looks promising for the main game!
I am not sure yet about the omni tool blade. Seems cool enough.
I did like not having to manually bypass every door. While I enjoy the bypass and hack feature of ME2, I felt they were overdone, and it got tedious. A wave of the omni tool and presto! Gives me less repetition while still providing an immersive feel to the game.
The story seemed to get off to a good start, and now I am pumped up to see where it goes. I am still leery of bioware after my experience with DA2. I am concerned that the Mass Effect story will take the same DA2 nosedive into writers hell and sink into an abyss of disfunctional oblivion. I have my fingers crossed....oh please...oh please....oh pleeeeaasssee...!
But in the demo....good job writers and devs!
So all in all...a good demo. I am excited about the game. A few weeks ago, I preordered the collectors edition. I play on ps3.

Indeed, I agree with you. They should do everything to keep people calm. Instead they are announcing DLC with new character, smiling and pretending that everything is OK.

Try to have some faith in a team that has brought you an incredibly enriching experience, and don't be so hasty to disapprove of a gift that you wouldn't have without them.

Check out the video for yourself.
I can't link it but it's called "sound of the reaper invasion", skip to 4:20 and you'll see Anderson's running animations are better. The video was released in nov which proves that the demo isn't the final version of the game.

Singleplayer is not sold so nicely in this short and old demo, but I trust the final game is going to be outstanding, like always.
But please...........fix the claustrophobic, narrow FoV (Field of View) in PC version, unbearable.

FOV also needs to be fixed in a PC game. I don't have any issues while playing normally (not even in Mirrors Edge), but my eyes would unfocus and I had trouble following what was on screen, particularly in the intro, because the FOV was too tight and couldn't keep up with the rest of the game.
Overall though, I enjoyed it on both the 360 and PC.

Yeah, ME2 demo was amazing. Made me run out and buy ME 1 & ME 2.
The ME3 demo... not so much.
The second part had really nice gameplay, much more complex and fun. The first part was pretty ridiculous, poor pacing yielded an inconsistent emotional context, laughable dialogue ("No Strategy! We Fight! We Survive!" Thanks Shepard) and poor level design. The second part of the demo... we'll see. A couple of the quips sounded like they were kid's fan fiction (mostly the one's from Wrex), but it was still much more promising.
I'm going to wait and see what the reviews say for this one I'm afraid. (The fact that I was 'tricked' into downloading Origin doesn't help my mood I confess. Just found out about it; I need to create a separate OS instalation for the game if/when I eventually get it.
Sounds were nice though and, again, the gameplay elements (enemy grenades, physical shields, turrets, unshielded enemies on Insanity level) were very nice. Oh, and the dreadnought explosion was nice. Not ME2 demo nice, but still.

Do you have a date stamp for that? It makes it all the more strange that the deves would not say the demo was an old build. Are you sure this is not "cut" content like when they found out they needed to remove animation frames due to memory issues for example?

The date on the video says nov 2011.
Maybe, they don't want to admit that the demo is a old build, who knows their reasoning. However, evidence proves that the demo is missing a lot of things. Another example would be mordin's mission. It's obvious that the cut scenes have been removed but there's also parts of the battle missing as well. I watched the kinect demonstration video and it showed a few in game battle sequences that weren't in the demo.
Plus, the demo's character creation wasn't the complete version and according to the tweet I read, the graphics were downgraded as well.
The evidence makes me believe that the demo an old build. These are things that are common in demos.
