-Nerf Vanguard a bit to up the skill level
-fine tune servers
-Maybe DLC or update that includes more diverse enemies (still have not faced reapers or other factions though...)
-class related random packages
-Edge the level requirements. I see a lot of people catapulting through the ranks.

ive had a lot of fun with the multiplayer so far.
Pros
Game feels smooth
Easy UI
Game Requires teamwork to win, but is not too difficult that being the last alive on your team equals fail.
good variation of classes/races/skills
reviving isnt hard and if you dont get revived you respawn at end of the wave
no lag
even though the game modes feel mostly the same they are still quite fun, especially on hard modes.
Cons
Only very few levels (maby more in full version?)
game modes feel muchly the same.
no delete button/ability to reuse a name on your account.
lack of bosses
Suggestions
Game Modes
Perhaps add a pvp element? there could be a team of players playing as cerberus. or some other faction.
More game modes
class/character
adding a delete button so that we can reuse a name on a race with more interesting skills when unlocked.
Bosses
adding a boss wave mid way though and another for the last wave.
Bosses have abilitys and Powerful shields
Bosses Require Teamwork to kill
Bosses have relevence to the waves. eg. after defeating serveral waves cerberus dispaches a commando to take us out.
Perhaps adding bosses unique to the game mode? an example would be something like a special tech unit for hacking that the enemys protect. or a special unit like a captain or something for assasination and the assasination target has abilitys and also more powerful shields.

A bug issue:
after I finished a challenge I didn't get any exp or credit mentioned in the result page
so far I missed out on about 40000 cred and a large sum of exp
overall is great only the unlock system I didn't enjoy thx bioware

I don't know if this is just the demo, but randomness isn't gonna work. Also, I constantly unlock the same things. I've unlocked Male Adept about 3 times...
Are Turians even in the demo?

I for one really love the multiplayer, you did a great job, guys! In fact, it's the only thing I've been playing since the demo came out. And not merely because I don't want to get spoilered by the singleplayer portion.
It feels really dynamic and the "equipment packages" are a great idea in my opinion. With this, every buy feels a little bit like christmas and you're always wondering what you'll get. If you could simply buy the stuff, it wouldn't be half as fun. Furthermore, you'd have your maxed out character with full equipment in no time. This way, you might even get to like some weapon or class you didn't consider beforehand. Like my Katana Level 4 Shotgun. Wouldn't have bought it on my own, and was somewhat disappointed I always ended up getting it, but now I really like its punch in close combat after I realized that you don't get the same weapon / class twice, but it gets stronger with each time you get it (mabye you could highlight this somehow so ppl don't think they got exactly the same thing over and over again)! And then the excitment when I finally got my widow! Can't have that with straight up buying the stuff you want.
What I'd like to see is:
1) Implement a "suicide" option in the menu. I got stuck several times when I was revived and "sunk" through the level without being able to move or do anything. I had to wait till the end of the mission. Which can take a while depending on your mission-progress. With this suicide-option you could let people get spawned after the current wave at a random or the old level-starting location if they get stuck.
2) Let friends join public quick matches together as a group. We're not always 4 ppl and it's really hard to join a public room and quickly invite all you friends to it. Esp, with 3 people to join a public game that only has one player in it without others getting in first.
3) Somehow the hosting of private MP-rooms on PC is bugged, since only one of my friends can host a private game. If one of the others hosts a room, the rest can't join ("unable to join the game"). Maybe it has something to do with opening ports in your router, but I couldn't find any guides which ones have to be open for hosting a room.
4) Mix up the waves a bit. After a while, you know what is coming (e.g. which wave has an Atlas in it). Randomizing this would greatly improve the diversity of the multiplayer-experience.
Other than that - it's really super fun playing multiplayer and highly addictive, esp with all the weapons, customiziations, classes and levels. Can't wait to see the other areas and enemies in the full game!

I noticed not many people have discussed the PS3 version of the demo. Personally i agree with alot of people the running animation though not absolutely horrendous is clearly an over exaggerated animation.
The frames per second on the ps3 version were all over the place I pray to god they fix this issue before the final release.( Most important )
The voice synching was slightly off in the demo, much like mass effect 2 on ps3 i noticed this right away. Its not as bad as it was on mass effect 2 ps3 but a little off.
Like i said please fix the frames per second on the ps3 or at least check into it bioware.
Im a little concerned as bio ware has given me the gyp before with how bad dragon age 2 came ut as well as the neglect that mass effect 2 on ps3 was handled

Could not have been done any better... incredible work.
Although, I am hoping that the random unlocks will not be the only way to unlock in the full game (I do hope that they will stay though be a cheaper alternative to straight out buying what you want but you risk by gambling) Or maybe just more packs with more particular types of random unlocks. Like equipment only or character only, weapons only etc...
and obviously expecting more maps and enemy types when release day comes around... but thats a given lol (you couldn't even give us a preview of what we can fight against? C'mon lol =p). Also looking forward to see what you guys have planned DLC wise for the MP.

It'd be real nice if I could party up with a buddy or two and then begin to search for matches... right now the only options are to start a lobby (and it takes forever to fill) or to have one person keep joining matches until he finds one with just enough room to invite their friends. It's a bit clunky.
Aside from that, I'm having a blast.

Some quick criticisms. Before that though I liked the gameplay, the random objectives, and the maps. All good stuff.
My biggest problem is presentation. Now I know this is a demo so I know a lot of things will change from now and I'm sure UI wasn't the biggest concern for you guys anyway. But seriously the game doesn't look all that well put together.
My last concern, and my not sure yet, is the use of the A button. I find myself not moving as fluidly as I'd like from surface to surface. This is a pretty big concern but I'm not sure about it just yet. I also have found that when I'm standing right over someone I have to look at them to revive them. I should be able to just hold A.

- The loading screen is very bland. It's just a controller. In the actual game I hope you guys have tips ready for us while loading. Keep it Mass Effect though the loading screen shouldn't just be static art like something like Call of Duty.
- The main multiplayer screen just isn't very pretty. For this I would use Halo Reach as an example of absolutely nailing it (I think Reach has the best UI out of most multiplayer games and I don't even play it much). I know to a lot of people whats pretty doesn't matter but AAA high quality games should strive to be good in all aspects.
- Mix up the soundtrack for the multiplayer screen. I didn't notice until I was writing this but its the same track over and over.
- Generally its all very bare bones. I don't expect much UI wise for the demo.
- When customizing color for your character I noticed colors don't always match the figure to the left.
- Better explanation of pretty much everything. What does Bronze, SIlver, and Gold really mean? You should add something like "enemies have 60% more health" or "enemies have a lot more health"

Wow, had an absolute blast.
I struggled a bit at first, but once I starting playing a vanguard I got the hang of it. Didn't actually realise she was female for some reason so I named her John, which I couldn't help but find amuzing. Not too used to multiplayer but will start playing again and hopefully i'll get some more species to play as.
This is actually persuading me to buy live Gold... pity I wouldn't be around to use it enough... hmmmm
So in conclusion: The demo is a bit simple, and with only 2 locations and 1 faction to face it can get pretty repetitive, but it is also a lot of fun. This may sound cheesy, but I think it has to do with the fact that you're fighting together with other fans from across the world, and everyone is supporting each other with their different abilities and styles of play.

Mulitplayer needs:
The Supply number needs an increase from 2 to 4
Teamate revives need to me just a bit quicker, even though they are are already fairly quick
The difficulty increase between Bronze, Silver, and Gold doesnt need to be so dramatic
There also needs to be one or 2 more packs after Veteran

Really enjoying the MP, but I do have to say that unlocking other races through the crates is annoying; I've bought a fairly large share of them, and only gotten human unlocks. I do see the appeal of the random crates, mind you, but I wish that at least the first level of the races could be purchased separately.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I want a Turian vanguard!
there is waaaaay too little customization in here
I played about 10-15 matches in a 2 man group and never had anyone join in. we even waited for about 20 mins to see if someone would. I guess it'll only work with an invite.
I forgot to mention I'm having a blast with the gameplay. i could see myself playing this months after release, as if i wasn't already gonna be playing the single player months after release lol. Poor matchmaking and random items are my only concerns, hopefully they can do something about them.

I hope there are more game modes then just fighting wave after wave of enemies, i also hope for some more armor customization rather then just colors, like buying different pieces for your own look and style. I'm disappointed i couldn't play as a Volus, i wanted to be a BIOTIC GOD!

I really enjoy the gameplay and the difficulty. Even bronze is no slouch and the difficulty forces players to work together. Like others, I hope to see wayyy more customization. But I am very impressed with the MP demo. I think the variety in class skills and mechanics really stands out in multiplayer. Congrats Bioware on making a great MP team shooter. Its very fun and addictive

A few nitpicky critiques that most haven't mentioned yet that I've seen:
- In the main game, make medals earned worth something. As it stands, completing a particular feat like getting 75 kills just gets you more XP/credits to be used in a random lottery. It doesn't really have much accomplishment to it. Personally, I hate the random lottery system, but it's a little late to change that.
- (Regarding Xbox controller input) The revive button should be something besides A. I'd suggest X. The reason being that the A button is used for a lot of things that get in the way of a revive. If I need to revive someone who fell against a wall, while under fire, I could very easily waste health just trying to revive him instead of taking cover or rolling or hopping over a wall. X is only used for reloading and switching weapons; there's a lot less potential danger in assigning a vital mechanic to that button.
- There needs to be a way of tracking experience regardless of host connection. As it stands, if the host leaves mid-match, I'll lose my stats. Earlier I got to Wave 9 with a group, then we disconnected. After all that time spent, I had nothing to show for it. AND I lost my single-use equipment upgrades I'd equipped for the match. That's going to get annoying very quickly. Please make it like Gears 3 in which your stats are tracked in real time and, regardless of how the match ends, you'll get all your stats.
- There needs to be a better way of finding matches. I hope that there will be a way to search for matches and actually browse them, rather than just selecting quick match. I'd also like to be able to make a party, just in case a friend and I are looking for another host. Just being able to play with the people I want without doing a private match should never be this difficult.
- In-game communication. There needs to be more of it. I've only found one person with a mic in the two nights I've played; ME3 is a single player game first, and as such, many of the game owners will not want to use a mic. For that reason, it's imperative that some in-game character or UI communication be implemented. Something like Gears 3's spotting system, or RE5's partner voice communication. Without it, there's no way at all to communicate without mics, and mics don't seem to be popular with this fanbase in the least.
I realize the game's gone gold already, but I really hope these are addressed, in addition to the gameplay quirks that should be obvious.

I'm just like everyone else who thought multiplayer was the stupidest idea for Mass Effect since not being able to toggle your helm mid mission. So, bored after work today, booted up the multiplayer and...
Yup. Love it.
Oh, and the helm toggle options are nice too, lol

get rid of random boxes. just make a real store and make stuff more expensive. it is pretty obvious from the store design you made random boxes to force people to play more. you spent most of your credits hoping to get what you actually want which is a poor unlock design in my opinion.
also the voice chat with the sony headset is letting you hear what goes into your mic unlike most games. this is the only game that does this please fix it.

Love this... best 3rd person multiplayer shooter ever... Makes me wish even more that it had offline support... Well done, love the atmosphere and voice work for the human Vanguard (and I guess I should also mention how unbelievably awesome that class is now...)

I've sunk countless hours into this demo... to the extent that I have to keep reminding myself that it's a demo.
I may need to give it a break to focus on finishing ME2 again, before I get bored of this game.
