Absolutely loving the game in every way, but it REALLY needs a feature to let you search for local games. been getting bad connection problems because im connected to guys from accross the world. also a party search function would be great

Well I did enjoy it overall, there were few flaws, ofcourse, but generaly I like it.

What I liked:
- Character customization, even when it just limits to colors
- Gameplay is good and it has variation in it (objectives and such)
- Game doesn't lag at all
- Giving us classes and levels, so people can play the way they like
- Enemies are pretty interesting
- Game that requires JUST enough teamwork is always good, I think you balanced it well

What I disliked:
- Having randomized boxes to unlock weapons, character options and customization options, these are the things people want to choose, not receve randomly.
I'd rather have control over the unlocking process, oooor that things would unlock as you level, but some kind of shop would be good.
- Some issues with controls, like piling up everything to button A (running, rolling, wallhuging, activating things, vaulting...)

So, if you just get rid of random boxes as prime way of getting race options, weapons and character customization options, it should be pretty good! Honestly thou, why would you limit the character customization that much?

well said :D I 100% agree :)

This MP is fantastic and addicting, my expectations going in were low, but it's been really good fun so far.

I wish more people had headsets, when on teams with communication we seem to win easier.

I would like local or at least regional search capabilities ie US- Europe, solely due to lag issues.

I heard that you level up by class and not individual character, I think leveling up by character would be more fun though. (I'm only a level 8 engineer right now)

MP difficulty should scale based on the number of people in your squad. My friend and I intend to approach the MP as a co-op experience, just the two of us. So far we're finding specific objective types more challenging than others because it's just the two of us. Since your progress in MP ties back into the SP campaign we do not feel as though we should be forced to play with two random people and that we should be able to treat MP as a co-op campaign. Does difficulty scale and if not, is this planned to be added in an update?

Me and another member played a bronze match last night and got to wave 10 so it's definitely doable

He was level 18 and I was level 7 so neither of us were maxed.

I say you would have to stick to bronze matches though.....

There are 3 levels of Bronze- Silver- Gold

The thing is you both knew what you were doing. Coop becomes much harder when your team mates run off like idiots to do their own thing, however I am willing to let it slide when I can tell that person is doing real well on his/her own.

Cons: can you make a timer for the match to start. I hate waiting ten minutes for a guy to be ready. Just make a timer.

Yea I'm pretty good at ME gameplay, and some shooters, I was very good in halo 3, decent in Crysis 2.

I understand what you mean LTG, if you're on xbox add me (GT: Ballzy Magee), I'm a team player, try to call out things, and will revive people if possible.

I confirmed this. I soldier 15/16 and my friend level 3-4 finish game in duo 4 times yesterday at bronze. Pretty easy.

Is it just me, or does cryo anything not affect Phantoms at all? On my last match last night, I wound up fighting a Phantom one on one, with cryo ammo equipped and spaming Level 4 Cryo Blast with improved radius and she never frosted up. I've nailed Nemesises and Centurions with both and they always frost over and slow down after getting hit, but the Phantom just kept going and going and going.

Needless to say, the match ended with us getting our asses handed to us.

Phantoms are evil people. They don't care about anyones powers. I thought about using my rocket on them instead of the atlas on more than one occasion :P

Oh other thing I have noticed. I dont seem to get any rumble feedback when I'm getting shot at. Only when my shield breaks I get any rumble. But by then its usually too late anyway *Mashes roll button.

Plus it would be nice to have some sort of directional awarness in regards to where you are being shot from. Like Halo or your call of duties. Depending on where the enemy is shooting you from, that side of your screen will go a darker red faster than the rest of the screen.

We both started at level 1 and are playing on bronze. The furthest we've made it is wave 6, only once. We've only managed to beat Wave 3 three times, so we just managed to buy our first pack. We've got the teamwork down. We've been playing together exclusively since Halo: CE co-op 10 years ago. The problem is we're under-leveled and under-equipped to perform very well at the moment. The Enemy AI is very good. Probably the best we've seen. When they rush, it's a problem. And forget revive. That only works near the end of a wave when the enemy has been thinned out. It just doesn't feel like the difficulty takes into account there's just two of us and it's almost as if the AI takes advantage of it sometimes. I'm sure it will get better as we level and get better gear. It just going to take forever. After 4 hours we only reached level 6 and about 6,000 credits.

They'd probably cartwheel away from it.

Overall, I have fallen in love with the MP and I had a great time yesterday leveling up and running premades (on PC). We made it as far as Wave 8 (in Gold) before being boxed in by a Phantom, but I can say it offers a menacing, yet fair level of difficulty even when maxed out. We were originally pretty flustered by the control scheme, but with a fair bit of patience, it all really feels natural and everyone is moving around fluidly. I will say the level design is spot on and kudos to the developer, I can't wait to see new arenas to fight in.

I don't love the randomness of packs, but it kinda reminds me of my childhood and sitting around with friends opening up baseball cards. It does lead to frustrating gameplay. I would also suggest rearranging the ammo crates, since their current placement allows for camping and grenade spam. Putting the crates in areas without cover has a risk/reward associated with nabbing more ammo and would also give weight to the ammo call-in.

Pros:
+Great Difficulty
+Solid Customization Options
+Map Design
+Smooth Combat

Cons:
-Random Rewards
-Too Easy to Access Ammo

It's really not so bad playing with 4 people, just level up there and play with your friend.

I was playing with some good people last night

I have to admit, it's quite good. And there are some pretty good groups out there.(well, everyone starts small, when I first jumped in with a Krogan Headbutter, I mean soldier, whatever, it was pretty ashaming :) ), people realize it quickly that it benefits more to work as a team.
I'm still not convinced why ME3 needed an MP component in the first place, but for what it is, it's pretty entertaining.

Oh, Phantoms. Once they show up, you can see at least six player-initiated power flying towards them.
Nothing feels as good as headbutting them with a krogan or incinerating them with an engineer.

I wish I could headbutt them. But the mystery boxes of mystery won't give me a Krogan character  :crying:

I really like the multiplayer. Now my friends and I will play multiplayer and talk about the mission we did today instead of scanning planets and taking about the missions. Should be much more fun.

The only downside (and this is no shock here) are the random packs. I planned on playing a Salarian Infiltrator and a friend wants to play Krogan Soldier. But this way we might as well be done with the singeplayer (2-3 weeks if we take out time) and still haven't unlocked our desired multiplayer classes...

Let us choose our races and classes from the beginning. You can still have the weapons as random drops (even though I still don't like it that much).
