I'm enjoying my Adept alot and in both ME1 & ME2 I never even rolled that class, now I'll have to try it out in another play through ME2.
Still not happy I can't Holster my weapon!
Also can't seem to get my Voice to work in game and those who do have voice working in game I can't understand as their speaking other languages and all I know is English so wouldn't do me any good anyway's.
Also some of my Adepts ability's seem to be negated against the enemy like Singularity the enemy's just run by it with no discernable effect other times I can get 2 or more in it.
Also Warp seem's not so effective it's supposed to be tearing these guys up but they heal as fast as the warp does damage, usually a sniper takes their heads off and ends that healing thing.
Also Turrets man those things took out my entire party yet we all faced an atlas we lost shields but we took it out faster than we could on a turret, somethings not quite right there.
I like the unlocks in the case's though I wish their was a Master crate you could buy for like 50,000 with rarer unlocks and boosts. I think I've unlocked just about all the races and classes that i can in the demo from the Veteran crates it's rather odd though because I think I've only purchased like 16 an all but 2 had a class or race.
Definatly need an in game chat system with text or something to relay to squad or ingame voice commands to call for help or watch the rear, etc. I felt very disconnected in game with no one issueing commands to get this objective or I need backup.
Just my 2 cents and it's usually not worth much.

Not sure about the rest of it, but singularity doesn't work on enemies with shields/barriers. And it only works on Guardians (guys with the physical shields) if you get 'em from behind

- The fun combat and the ability to try out classes I've never given a go at in Single Player.
- The random crates.
I know a lot of people are not happy with it and I can understand their desire to be rewarded more directly for their efforts. However, I think it suits me because I like trying out different things, and being randomly rewarded with something different from what I would normally use, I would be curious to try it out
Bugs I encountered:
- My female vanguard only has Biotic Charge hotkeyed - all other powers were not mapped despite being levelled. This bug, coupled with an inability to map powers (not sure if that's a bug or if it's intended) made my Female Vanguard impossible to use effectively. I would charge into enemies and then have to stop to press shift to activate Nova.
- No in-game text chat
The button is clearly listed as "t" in the key bindings menu, but it doesn't work. Not sure if it's been deactivated for the demo or what, but it would be a real bummer if it's not in the full game. What's the point of playing co-op with my friends (or even other ME lovers) if we can't chat in-game? It would be like getting together for a poker game and not being able to talk at all.
What I think could be added:
- Lobby chat
This would allow players gearing up in the lobby to plan their tactics in advance or simply socialise like the human beings we are
- Party system
This is something Blizzard uses in Starcraft 2, where you and your friends form a party that can join other games as a group. It is my solution for people who would like to join a public match with a friend. For example, if I formed a party with 2 of my friends and would like 1 more player, rather than creating our own room and waiting for someone to join we could search for a map as a party and the game's matchmaking system will find a room with only 1 player.
- Team commands
This is something Valve uses in games like Team Fortress 2 and the Left 4 Dead series. For PC players, this means that you can issue commands, requests, replies or even encouragement/praise by pressing buttons. In TF2 for example pressing "Z" opens up a small box on the left hand side of the screen showing various commands with corresponding number hotkeys. For example, "Z"-"2" is "Thanks!" By issuing this command the words will appear on the in-game chat, and the character will also speak the words. It makes the game more engaging and of course allows for more coordination between players who aren't using voice chat. I for one would love to have a command that makes my character yell "Good shot!"
--------------
I might have more ideas after playing through the multiplayer a bit more (though "a bit" might be a serious understatement). In any case I'm quite excited for the full game and I would like to thank Bioware for putting so much effort into (successfully) revolutionising the way we play Mass Effect

Does it need some balance tweaks? Yeah.
Does it need some rough edges worked out (both in and out of game)? Yeah.
Will you need to keep working at it so it does not become to repetitive? Yeah.
Was it worth putting damn near an entire dev team on it? I will have to see the whole ME3 package to answer that.
All in all not to shabby first time out the gate. Played real safe with it-probably best all things considered.

- There has got to be some way to retrain powers. I totally screwed up a bunch of rare wanted race-classes. I'm sure others need this too.
- Mapped powers and key bindings need to be customizable. I need to redo my custom bindings just to play different classes (sometimes)

Additionally - Cryo Blast + Sniper Rifle = the ultimate, headhunting weapon of mass destruction.
That's if you don't find yourself with an un-reloaded sniper rifle. I mainly use cryo blast for assists rather than a method of attack. I should also say that I love the infiltrator. I found it very versatile once I got rid of the rapid fire pistols and went with the predator. I seriously do more damage with that than I do the Locust or the other one (name escapes me).

I really need to make a list before I post, but all this comes with every minute I try it out: leaders of a squad should be able to make someone else on the squad a leader so that the squad isn't broken up when the leader decides to leave.
Also, I don't know if this was intended, but I'm really hating how you can't reload and enter cover at the same time. I can reload and move while in cover or reload and walk. I'm putting my back to a surface. I should be able to reload at the same time or the game should keep in mind that I started trying to reload before I entered cover and then completes the reload action once I'm in cover. Probably stresses a need for separate keys for cover, vault, and run.

1) Please don't give the 'wave over' message until turrets, drones, whatever are destroyed. Otherwise, it feels like a cheap 'gotcha' moment.
2) On Xbox Live at least, it seems to be nearly impossible for anyone to join a match in progress from the public. I know this can't be an issue of public interest, but I'd like to be able to go at it with a full team. I don't know if you have any control over that, but it is an issue.

Perosnal opinion of class breakdown excluding obligatory humans.
Adept: Asari, Drell
Engineer: Quarian, Salarian
Infiltrator: Salarian, Turian
Sentinel: Quarian, Drell
Soldier: Krogan, Turian
Vanguard: Krogan, Asari
Though I think Drell should also be included as Infiltrators.
In truth, I'm not sure why we didn't just get a set character creation system where we first picked our race and then our class. We all have an affinity for certain races, and certain classes, why not allow us to combine them using am much simpler method? Granted I can understand some exclusionary things like not being able to be a Krogan Egineer or a Quarian adept, but not being able to choose classes that races are so obviously inclined towards doesn't make a lot of sense.
In the meantime, will be playing as Salarian Infiltrator.

-In the appearance customization, the asari biotic can only change its primary color. The highlight color or whatever doesn't do anything at all. I don't know if this is intended or a glitch, but it seemed to be black by default and every color I picked looked dull, as if its mixing the two colors.
-The animation for firing an assault rifle sometimes glitches and doesn't stop after someone is done shooting. I sometimes see people walking around after a wave with their gun going off but with no sound and no bullets coming out.
Anyway, now that I unlocked the Asari biotic, my matches have been 10 times better. Its the best class in my opinion and I'm having a blast! Although, I agree with some people saying they should be more directly rewarded rather than random crates. I have gotten a ton of shotgun modifiers and upgrades, and not once have I used a shotgun. Perhaps if there was more variety and specificity with the crates, like ones for certain classes. Maybe that would be too easy, I don't know. Either way, can't wait to experience the whole thing.
OH and last, QUESTION: Will our characters be able to carry over to the retail multiplayer?

You basically took the worst parts of both games and combined them into one horrid mess.
There should not be infinite spawns, no matter what the objective is.
We should not have finite numbers of medpacs that only get replenished by buying ****. Medpacs and heavy ammo should all replenish everytime we enter a new map.
10 waves is too much , espcially when you don't allow us to restart from the beginning of a failed wave.
New enemy types make zero sense in the ME universe. Indestructible shields? If you can make indestructible shields you'd be able to make indestructible armor. The guns used in ME would be able to punch right through those shields without a problem. WTF was with the Katana enemies? Those were way out of place in this game.
Boring map. The one I played reminded me of the generic ME maps where you go down to a planet, run into a building, kill some random NPCs who simply exist in this building for no known reason and then leave the planet. When you land on the next planet you find the same NPCs in the same generic building. This was one of the big things they felt needed changing between ME 1 and ME 2.
You kept the ultra crappy ammo system from ME 2 instead of using the awesome system from ME 1.
You still failed to give us defensive powers and failed ot give us defensive and offensive powers on seperate cooldowns.
Cooldowns still seem to be global which was one of the worst changes between ME 1 and ME 2 after the ammo crap.
Getting into cover is very laggy, and the cover that does exist isn't large enough for 4 players to use.
There is nothing interesting to find on these maps.
When you played through a level in ME 1 or ME 2 there were always interesting things to open to get some credits, weapons, mods or whatever. None of that existed in the mutiplayer map making it excruciatingly boring to run through.
I also don't like that we just sat there in the map while mobs spawned over and over and over and over again. It was a terrible experience. I only like the ME levels where you progress through a linear map with a finite number of enemies who are already spawned in specific areas which you encounter as you progress through the map. I don't like running around a circular map looking for respawns.

Two urgent things:
Lobby Chat need to be added.
Text Chat! Come on, it is so useful and not everyone has a headset or is a Halo fanboy. I have been MP gaming properly since Quake 1, text chat is essential!
Also, I think you must must include a preview of the mission objectives somewhere in the Lobby or while the game is loading or something. It's fine after a few times of dying you figure out just to follow everyone else who knows what they are doing but like Enemy Territory or Battlefield or TF2 or any class-based/objective based MP game you need to give people a briefing on the missions/map they will be playing on.
P.S. Voice Chat not working for me at all. Can't hear anyone else either. (PC demo)

I disagree with all of this. I hated the amo system in ME 1 and welcome the thermal clips. I like how they did the powers except I wish I had more options to choose from in my class. Cool down times seem a lot faster in me 3 which I am not sure about. The new enemies are cool as hell and we are fighting Cerberus nobody really knows a lot about them and the Phantoms are cool as hell. A pain in the ass to fight but cool as hell. I really like the firebase ghost which I think is set on Tuchanka and it makesa lot of sense. Over all I have a ton of fun playing multi player and I own both ME 1 and ME 2 and have been playing them both since 2008. Both great games and ME 3 will be fun too. Its a bit cartoony especially with the weird noise shockwave makes but its going to be a great game.Shahadem wrote...

there arent many things to do you either kill everyone kill a target hack a computer hack a reaper device or hold the line in the extraction zone. its best that everyone sticks together anyway especially on silver. I havent touched gold yet because silver is hard enough for me. hell bronze with 3 people is hard unless they are really good at the game. i am decent and do better than most on xbox live but I cannot survive even a bronze session with a level 20 character by my self.BenjaminR00 wrote...

Everything you've said I agree is in desperate need of sorting out. Proper Quarians ('Reegar is a legend and I doubt that all the Quarian special forces consist of females) and frankly, would be nice to have quarians that aren't in for tali fanboyism (I swear that Liz voices them too, for gods sake!), proper server and proper customisation (hell, just helmets for the aliens would be nice)
One little thing though, how the hell did you and your team end up running WITH chickens with their heads chopped off?
Magic.
Anywho, new bugs to report:
Bugs:
-Sometimes Turrets are INVISIBLE. If they weren't bad enough.
-sometimes enemies can knocking you through walls when KOing you, making it impossible to be rezzed by teammates....though if you rez yourself you get warped to a nearby walkable place.
Bonus Compliment:
Concussive Shot is a rocket you fire from your gun. I approve of this.

All the classes are fun. Personally I enjoy engineer for it being amazing support with any difficult enemy.
Lets be clear, there will be additional store things to buy. So don't complain about unlocking characters(Also there will be more characters I think, since there is space for them on the right). Hopefully there will be a way to unlock a geth and maybe some random race that you'd never expect.

True, but what about other maps/modes/etc in the finished game? I honestly think some kind of briefing or MiniMap you can quickly toggle would be a big help. Like I said, I did adapt after only 1 game I just followed people, killed enemies and revived my mates. A briefing would be a very practical thing to include. Especially if you are in a group of newbies with your mates. It was probably made worse by the fact that no voice chat was working neither was text chat so I had no idea what was going on and could not ask.
