I can't remap or add abilities to my hotkeys. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. I was playing a Sentinel for a while, and finally gave another character a chance, and found none of the abilities were hotkeyed for me, and I couldn't map them myself. I can't do anything about it and constantly need to go shift+click.

And the roll-sprint-crouch on one key is a bad decision. We have a whole entire keyboard. I'm sure CTRL could be put to good use for rolling around and we can keep the storm-cover combo for the spacebar, or something else along those lines. The game gets really confused when I mash things too fast and end up catapulting myself over the cover rather than sliding into it.

I guess my other complaint is that while I actually enjoy the box drops being random, I wish at least 1 medi-gel were awarded at the end of every game, regardless of whether you level up or purchase a box, or whether you even got through more than half the waves.

And I wish weapon mod drops were just a little more sensitive to the weapons you used the most. I keep getting shotgun mods... but I never use shotguns.

I DO like that the weapon pick-ups go to all your characters, though. :3 Quarian Engineer with a Revenant.

I also really like that Storm never runs out, and I like being able to run around in bright pink armor being fabulous. <3

I like the cleverness of the enemy AI... weeding me out of cover with grenades. XD And I like that we can trick them with Tactical Cloak.

Being rewarded for helping someone else get the kill is awesome. I don't feel useless just because I didn't get a kill.

Honestly, I'm hoping we're not limited to just those alien genders... or we could have variations on the same species-class with a different build (a recharge-based build vs a heavy-hitter build, etc.). Like, having extra slots for an unlocked class-species combo rather than just the one.

Finally, I kind of wish the game would balance for two or three people. I don't like PUGing all that much and sometimes it's just me and one of my friends around. We have yet to finish a round. Or the option to queue for a public game with a friend.

I'd like to maybe see the option to give yourself a new ability after a certain level. Like Overload if you don't have it already, or Slam, or something. Just for some variety later on in the game, and the chance to break the mold a little, add some spin and interest.

I was a huge skeptic about the MP, but I fully admit how wrong I was. It's great fun, and I love seeing my foes fly across the screen with a good, solid Throw. :wub:My only hope is that BW does a gradual release as with TOR, so that the MP isn't as swamped as it is now, and that the servers can handle it all.

Edit: OH. And the ability to grab a guy from behind cover and STAB THE CRAP OUT OF HIM? It's like you made this for me.

Once upon a time, an engineer Quarian arrived home to his beloved after a horrible fight against the villainous Cerberus group. This Quarian had a rather forlorn look to him and so his beloved asked him, "My love, you have come home to our Flotilla with the look of death haunting you; what has happened?" After a long look at the face of the one he loved, he replied, "I lost so many men today-too many. We ran into a squad of Cerberus engineers hoping to bring something useful back to the Flotilla from the wreckage. Their turrets were so big and mine were so small and weak." She replied, "Come, let us join suits and let comfort each other."
*couple minutes later*
"Well.... that's not all that's small and weak about you." ZING.

Lol. Quarian turret=so disappointing. I was so darn excited too when I unlocked the Quarian engineer.

It was a good experience. Personally, I think the multiplayer has the potential to go up against games like Call of Duty, etc, if fined tuned correctly with more than just survival; pvp. However, looking at Dragon Age 2, appealing to CoD fans may not...

Back on topic: I really liked the difficulty, too bad I can't find many people to do silver or gold. When I finally find a group it is as if no one played Mass Effect before and can't understand their role. I play Engineer in the demo with a focus on overload & finesse and love it.

One key do everything is really bad.

Trying to sprint away from enemy. Ends up pressing against wall getting killed.

Trying to take cover behind a wall. Instead jumps over wall getting killed.

Stuff like that happening all the time and is really frustrating.

Yeah. Random unlocks suck to. I got 2 chars level 18 and I still cant play a Krogan

Totally agree, switching it out to CTRL for doing rolls is a great idea!

And lack of chat? Why cant I type messages?

Why no chat when in lobby?! Getting level 1 chars in gold games? And I cant even tell them to start in bronze. Or I cant tell people that i just gone buy some stuff before next game so people dont know if I m afk or buying stuff or spending new skill points.

Oh, something else - the Infiltrator heavy melee does not feel like it actually connects with anyone, unlike Solider/Vanguard/Sentinel. I know it is an electric shock instead, but it needs to feel tangible to the player otherwise you don't always know if you are going to hit them, nor do you get a sense of when you are close enough to successfully do so even by trial and error. It feels to luck of the draw or a fluke.

Yup, need lobby chat and text chat. It's an essential.

Pleas give the PC version text messeging system.

1 MP game has 10 waves, hopefully there are some with 5 or less - I don't always want to spend half an hour playing one...

Getting plenty of disconnects, my progress is lost... Can you give us reconnect option?

OH and last, QUESTION: Will our characters be able to carry over to the retail multiplayer?

I was wondering that myself----it turns out that EA has a faq about the demo: the answer is no.

Wow. Just wow, I must say that while many of my friends were skeptical about multiplayer, I was the hopeful optimist, but even I had my doubts, and I come away pleasantly surprised. It was all solid, but y'nkow, I'll address pros/cons anyhow:
What I liked:
-Controls, smooth, but whether it be lag or I don't know, there were often times where my powers wouldn't activate,          even when they were "available"
-Matchmaking, easy, quick(faster than most actually)
-Character Progression, good, balanced classes, I like the weight mechanic, leveling system is good.
-Maps, nice, only seen two of them but they are well laid out I think, and though it's good that you're kept on your            feet, it would be nice if there were some last ditch defensible locations that hold no more than one person                        comfortably when the rest of your team has flatlined.

What could be added:
-Enemy, lack of defined bosses, I think someone said this before, but coming across say a Cerberus Captain who            can use biotics, or a big strong guy in heavy armor with a riot shield AND a full size weapon (AR, Shotgun etc.) or          even a squad with flamethrowers, that would be fun.
-Chat, lobby chat would be nice, maybe an option to connect only to people who speak your language and things            like chatiness etc. because I know myself and many others really enjoy the teamwork aspect of multiplayer which            is easiest to achieve with direct speech, plus it makes the battle feild less lonely.
-And I know your probably sick of hearing it by now, but unlocking of characters really bugs me, if there was a                  shop with all of the cards with their own individual costs then I'd be cool with that, there could still be those packs            but in compensation for the lack of choice they might be cheaper I've probably played around ten hours and only            acquired a drell vanguard.

I was just in a match where I was trying to revive a team mate but I would keep hugging 'all the walls'. One button to revive is not going to work when it's also the 'run, cover and do'.

Am I the only who finds it odd that a Krogan can be a sentinel? I mean, they don't come across as being very technical.

Same. I feel as if the Drell Vanguard and Krogan Sentinel were swapped by mistake.

I also feel that the melee should lock on, so to speak. I hate going to heavy melee and end up hitting the air because the enemy casually sidestepped out of the way. I mean carnage and concussion shots can round corners, why can't my melee lock onto a target?

I wasn't really interested in multiplayer, but trying it out has changed my mind! My friends and I had so much fun! It's very addictive and I like upgrading guns and abilities. I can see multiplayer equaling me playing ME3 for many more hours than I would if it just included SP. The SP demo made me decide that I'll most likely buy the game, but now after also trying MP. I feel like pre-ordering it. Nice extra touch, Bioware.

I was skeptical about multiplayer for ME, but the way it's being handled doesn't bother me, it's fun and I can see myself playing it. I appreciate being able to team up with random people, many co-op games miss this option nowadays.

Features I'd like to see implemented are text chat and/or voice commands (something simple as flank, retreat, help, good job etc), and the ability to reset or remake a character.

I liked the experience of playing the Beta, The characters move very smoothly though sometimes don't quite read what I want them to do correctly (See: Taking cover as opposed to sprinting). The badguys are annoyingly smart and cunning (See Flanking, 'nade spam and PHANTOM! OH GOD OH GOD!) The enemies are also diverse in their ranks and skill. And depending on your load out and team can be team killers or a cake walk. (Though turrets suck no matter whom you are.)

Bugs I've seen:
-Clipping through the ground when stunned/revived/melee'd
-Getting stuck upon spawning into the game (Seen this one a lot recently, though leaving and coming back helps)

What I'd like to see:
-The ability to map the shoulder buttons. Having impact shot on the left shoulder and grenade on the right kinda gets annoying when I wanna sight down my weapon and let off an impact shot.
-More various Packs in the store, characters, consumables and weapons on Recruit(5k) Veteran(20K) and Elite(40K) levels.
Combat engineers only lay down one turret. Killing one then having them spawn another in repetition is kinda frustrating.

Ambrosis and Magicman: Krogan may not be very technical but they make a HECK of a tank when spec'd to soak damage.

Alright, now, I know it's probably too late for any large changes, but I think if implemented properly, it could work. Now, don't get me wrong, I think you've done a great job of the classes, they are well balanced etc. but I would really enjoy being able to simply choose my race and class and then pick my three abilities from a list, so maybe, one [GOOD] ability, one [MEDIUM] and one [SMALL], with class specific abilities and the squad member abilities from ME2 being the the [GOOD] abilities, the better normal abilities being the [MEDIUM] and the average abilities being [SMALL] in this way the classes would never be overpowered and everyone would get a sense of freedom in customization that could only be welcomed favorably. And things that just wouldn't work, like Biotic Charge for a Krogan, would simply be grey'd out. The immersion kinda broke for me when all of the races couldn't be all of the classes, that's all.
Also, you probably already are, but if you add DLC for the multiplayer, Batarian race would be awesome, though I suspect these may be redundant due to likeness to humans. Vorcha would be crazy, considering that these N7 Operatives are the best of the best, it could be something like Tazzick, the brawny Salarian, there could be a bunch of really intelligent Vorcha (considering the average intelligence of Vorcha, they would be about as intelligent as the average human)  and they could be skilled fighters, hat would be interesting, put them in some actual armor plus their health regen, they actually wouldn't be bad fighters, but not too over powered at the same time. All right, Batarians/Vorcha would be cool, but my main wish, is to play multiplayer as a Geth. That would be awesome, plain and simple. They would be the tech/combat classes, good shields, not so good armor/health. For the soldier one they could have Geth Shielding Tech, Overkill (Increased accuracy, two shots per thermal heat sink allows for greater periods of extended firing) and Proximity Mine. As for the Infiltrator, they could have Tactical Cloak, Assasination and Overload. Finally, Engineer could have Neural Shock, Shield Boost and Combat Drone. This is of course all hypothetical, but I would really like to play as a Geth, and this is my 2 cents as to how it could be done, and for it's passive ability, it could simply use Legions passive ability and something like Software & Hardware as a fitness equivilant. I <3 Legion/The Geth Collective

I love everything. Only one HUGE design flaw.
Cover, Run, Vault, Revive, Roll ... All are on the same button (A) on Xbox 360.

What starts happening is you hug the wall when trying to run. You hug the wall when trying to revive. You hug the wall when trying to vault. I really hope this gets addressed. This game is too amazing for this to not approached by the devs.

Oh yea, this happens to me alot too.
I eventually have to keep rolling out until it just goes away.

Actually it happened to me the very first time I played the map.
At first I thought, wow, that's cool, they actually created a gravity dense map,
then I saw my teammates just running off, that's when I knew something was off.

*EDIT* Speaking about Xbox version.

@Phantom, so true, they are easily the scariest enemy I've seen in Mass Effect so far, the only thing that's killed me as much as they do are Geth Hunters on Insanity. You see a Phantom and you either run the hell away, or use everything in your power to hopefully damage it before it totally f*cks you, or it cover busts you and then the swarm of assault troopers put you through sh*t storm of steel.

About Krogan: Aye, that's true, but it makes much more sense for them to be a biotics oriented Sentinel than a Tech oriented one. It is part of Krogan culture that while biotics capable Krogan are freakishly rare, they are ALSO freakishly ****g scary and the strong ones rival Asari Matriarchs in biotic power and are sometimes more so. I don't mind there being a Krogan Sentinel, I just wish it had more biotics than tech, that and Drell are good at biotics but they are much better techs than Krogans.

It is awesome but I would like to toss a team mate a medic gel or opps. Will it carry to the real game.
