Ok....
First of all I have no problem with sharing the mass effect expericence with friends. Its a great idea.
However, in practical terms, it does not seem to be working.
Not having been an early adopter, I started on friday. I tried all evening until I finally quit in frustration. I was paired with level 20s and 50s and 60s. They didn't want a newbie to carry. This isn't a fault of Bioware, it is a fault of human elitism.
I tried again Saturday morning. This time I did get to stay in a game for a while but it was like I was just some extra guy chasing after big brother. The high level was just running around solo far ahead of the team. It was obvious they had no use or need for anyone else.
Neither of these are faults of Bioware, but it is the reality of what happens in multiplayer games.
Aside from that, I can't say much since I have yet to actually experience the multiplayer as I think bioware intended and I don't think I will be able to. Which is only a little disappointing but not a big deal since its the single player game that I am interested in anyway.
First off, I'm sorry. It seems to be happening. The only remedy would be to play a few times, get to know the game and maps. Second, try to search for Bronze Challenge (lowest difficulty) only. And third, if you get into a match with high levels playing high level characters, just quit and try another. At least on Xbox that shouldn't be too hard. And there is no shame in just running along with someone who knows the game and learn the ropes. It takes about two games to get the hang of it.
Also, people with N7 lvl 20, 50, 60 does not necessarily mean they are playing high level characters. I'm level 50 and I have a Sentinel on lvl. 2. When I was level 30 I started again with a lvl 1 Adept. So if you find yourself in a lobby check the level of the classes the people play, not necessarily their N7 overall Level.
