with how many buttons PC has, why is roll/cover/use/sprint/heal all the same key?

How about some common sense?

My one major complaint is that it's simply too difficult to play solo. I would like to see the enemy count scale to how many people are playing. The fact that medigels are only in the random packs and you can easily lose health that can't be regained without one makes it insanely hard solo, even on Bronze. I really don't like playing with random people online, and when my friends weren't online it was too hard to accumulate any credits.

Also, I do like the random chance of the Store, but I'd like to see an option where you can purchase exactly what you want as well. You could make this really expensive and there would still be a reason to go with the random packs.

Overall, the multiplayer is extremely fun, and convinced me to buy the game even though I found the single player demo a bit underwhelming.

I don't play at all FPS generally, I was skeptical about multiplayer in ME, but it was in the demo and I tried in the end. Result: I am surprised and I like it a lot.

Maybe it is because there is no player vs player element, I like the teamwork and the objectives.
I like a bit less some randomness in the mob spawns paired with some objectives, but it happens.

I don't mind that different races get different powers. So far after 3 days and more than 30 veteran packs I have unlocked only a Turian Sentinel (loving it), but I hope the new packs in the full game will provide an option to buy "character packs", "weapon packs" and so on. As of now the rewards are too random and honestly the system needs some tweaking.

The "revive" is a bit tricky, especially when you companion is near a cover. I often end up covering instead of ressing, it's annoying.

And it is tricky even the mele attack, something you end up not hitting the enemy for a weird angle of the animation or something.

I read at level 1 people was kicked from the groups. It never happened to me, but I can understand their frustration. My solution would be to restrict the 1-10 (or 1-5) characters to bronze challenge, so no one can complain about the macthmaking. Really, in bronze challenge it's no big deal to have some low levels and no one should kick. You could even consider maybe the N7 level.

The turrets are a pain, but as you get more abilities and stronger weapons they aren't much of a problem.
The phantoms as of now are the most annoying enemies, I've seen games that were going really smooth ruined by 2 phantoms spawning at the same time and place.

Btw, you can mute players if from the lobby you go right, then click on the players and show their gamertag info. There is a "mute" player option. I agree it would be nice to have it ingame, but it's better than nothing. I don't get why people play with a mic if they are just talking with people in their room or making random noises.

Also, I had 2 xbox freezes as soon as I joined a game in the lobby. Might be just me, but it happened 2 times in the exact same manner, so I guess it is worth mentioning.

Liking multiplayer but hate the random unlocks. I've bought piles of packs and haven't gotten a single new character (both the 5000 and 20000 packs). In the full game having some option to choose a specific unlock (at least for the characters) for a price that is higher then the random unlock (say 3000 per character) would be really nice.

Phantoms shouldn't have that instant kill move. Going from perfect health with two Medi-gels to instant death (on round ten!) when they don't even have cloak on or are catching you unaware is absolute bull.

Simply AWESOME!
My only complain is the join method, sometimes is too slow and it requires too many attempts before being able to find 4 people and start. My guess is that the join method uses some kind of "first fit" policy (i've got a Ph.D in computer science, i know something about these things..), creating a lot of matches with 2 or 3 people, while joining with a "best fit" policy would send the people in those matches which needs only 1 people more to start. Starvation of the low crowded matches? People leave the match queue if it doesn't start in something like 10 seconds, i can't see the problem. The join way it's used now it's really frustrating sometimes..

Pros
  • Impressive overall. Really. Good job.
  • The kill/assist reward system rewards everyone who contributes to a kill directly and seems to potentially reward more from an assist, if you did most of the damage and just didn't get the kill.
  • The weight/recharge relationship is good for balancing the classes. I like how much better am as an adept with weapons, but carrying too much makes my biotics less practical. I've taken to carrying one gun at a time.
Cons
  • Cover could be a little more refined or...intelligent. As I expected, found my character hugging cover when I was just trying to cover groun. Got me killed a few times. Missed revives sometimes because of it.
  • Can't seem to choose which abilities I have. With my human adept, I've completely ignored shockwave, because it doesn't interest me. Would have invested in pull tho.
  • In the mission lobby, once any players leave, there's no way to try to fill the "public" slot except with friends. Why can't matchmaker help?
  • Every now and then, my character can't walk at the beginning of the mission. I figured out that it helps to roll until the glitch goes away, but yeah.
  • The Phantom MAY be overpowered. I've got a strategy for dealin' with it, but that melee may still be too much. Either that or it's just way too resilient.
  • The Nemesis also has too much health I think. Neither the nemesis nor the phantom seem to be wearing heavy armor, yet they seem to be as well armored as centurions, at least.
  • Doesn't SEEM to scale to the number of players. Makes sense lore-wise, but it's not so awesome gameplay wise. WAY too many enemies for two-player teams.

Con:
*Super buggy*. About 2/3 of my matches end because of losing server connection or glitching so that I 'stutter' then eventually end up beneath the environment or hovering way above it. (Really beautiful when soaring, neat details, but sucks for the game).

As for losing server connection: why is there no option to reconnect to your previous game?

Pro:
On the plus side I do love that enemy interactions are much more complicated: from shileded guardians, to invisible phantoms, to smoke grenades and snipers.  I do feel like there is a bit of a lack of tactical challenge as the enemies tend to trickle in, but still promising.  Trying to kill a combat engineer before he puts up a turret is great.  (I love that they're powerful, please don't nerf; makes for more dynamic tactical challenges.)

Yeah. When the host leaves, pick a new host amongst the folks still around.

Why when a connection to a match I never started is lost am I returned to the options screen? Obviously, I'm just gonna try again. The system should try to find another match unless I cancel.

Srry fr the double post. I forget when the thread is moving like a chat. LOL.

Good idea. I would like to be able to purchase first aid and rockets seperately. The packs could just be a cost-effective option, but I'd like the option to buy things seperately, even if it costs more. Potentially going many matches with a first aid is annoying.

Actually, that it does.  It will say something along the lines of "host lost, restarting wave" having rehosted with someone else.  That's nicely done.  However if a player, host or otherwise, loses connection they can't return to the game.  So you can be on wave 7, lose connection to server, come right back into the multiplayer, but you have to find a new group.  Real bummer, and happens almost half the time to me (even though my connections seem good, no lag problems).
[No experience or monies either :/ ]

Definitely would appreciate different keys for sprint and cover-use for PC. Sometimes i need to get the hell outta there, but keep sticking to every piece of furniture(or buildings) that's slightly in a way. got the same problems with roll, but to a much lesser degree.

Also, you absolutely need to add a lobby text chat.Must have for quickmatches.

Overall, multiplayer experience was great for me, especially encouraging of teamplay aspect.Doesn't feel like other shooters :) With that said, i had couple of bugs, and i don't know where else to report them:

1)Weapon went missing, I couldn't shoot and couldn't change it for the rest of the match.Powers still worked, though.Happened on Bronze, urban map.
2)Weird bug, where suddenly I can't damage enemies with weapons(bullets seem to hit, but healthbar just keep blinking at the same point), my powers fly through them(and don't do jack, apparently) and use is not activating - meaning no revives and objectives(char still could sprint and enter cover) .Happened on Silver,Noveria snowy map.

Good day,

Multiplayer I really liked the difficulty seems balanced.

I play the PC version, mainly for human soldier, and using a sniper.

I found a few bugs.

 1. zoom in sniper rifle and see the head piece of the enemy. 80 percent to hit without a problem. But in 20 percent, missile crashes into invisible barriers.

2.Another problem I see coverage.
Where is somewhere you need to quickly run over. Character begins to cover you for every corner and obstacle. Which is a problem when you want to escape from a bunch of enemies.
So all you have to run around the place that you've jumped.
And so it really does not cover and you have no shield and after a while and lifeless.
So I hope you fine-tune it.

3.The camera, on the whole satisfactory for me as a fan of the series without any problem.
But in the interest of objectivity, someone would not mind the occasional target shooting because he sees looks back on his character. becomes the cover and shooting from the hip.

4.Credit buying is a good idea and a random distribution of objects in the purchase of individual packages is also an interesting element.
It will be tuned in the full version? Not accidentally get a gun you already own?

5.And I suggest that the characters be able to buy the credits and not coincidentally in the package. There is nothing worse than you want to play a favorite character and wait until you unlock. A look at who your friends are unlocked and do not want to play for him.

6.And perhaps most irritating is the problem with the connection.
When you disconnect the game, for example, due to lag or outage of the Internet connection. Not receive any points that you recorded. Points if you only complete the round.
And when you chvýli before the end of wave 11, the connection drops out or you'll be fired because of lag. Enough of you it sucks because you have no points and was playing just a waste of time.

Sorry for bad English.

When I was playing as an Infiltrator, when ever I used the cyro blast and the target rolled, they wouldn't freeze. Just wondering if anyone else had the same problem.

The one real problem, other than the camera and control issues I've gone on about in the past, is my human male soldier's voice. Goddamn it makes me just want to hit something.

Actually, I've seen an enemy freeze WHILE rolling. Looked awesome. Weird issue you've experienced.

Multiplayer is much fun and very addicting. The Phantom, Nemesis and Atlas are awesome as enemies.

Things that would make MP even better: matchmaking, double tap A to roll.

 Hey guys.
I jumped on the Multiplayer on my PS3 with my friend and his friend and some random guy (who was super helpful, thank you random guy). I wanted to say I had a blast playing for the three hours we played. I was one of those people who heard that ME3 has a multiplayer and had a gut reaction of "Eh, I'll probably never touch it.." Boy was I wrong. I had a great time leveling up my adept human that I named Psycho Mantis (MGS reference FTW). I just wanted to say that I think the team behind this multiplayer did a wonderful job. I can't wait to get my hands on the full version. I even am thinking about picking up the PS3 version of the game over the summer to play with my friends who have PS3 only. I hoave both PS3 and Xbox 360, but I play my Mass Effect games on my 360.
The multiplayer seems very reminiscant of Transformers War for Cybertron which I abosolutely loved. Also kind of reminds me of the Dead Space 2 Multiplayer (Just minus the Left 4 Dead feel), which I also enjoyed.

I do have a few questions, sorry if these have been addressed already.
- How does the intigration to Single player work? Will I have a multiplayer career for each of my singleplayer careers? Or is it just the one Multiplayer and that effects all my single player careers? I only ask because I have 3 Mass Effect playthroughs I was looking to import along with a possible 4th. I'd hate to have to redo my multiplayer for each of them.

- Any word on what the multiplayer unlocks that are included with the ME figures are? Or is this not able to be talked about yet? I have the second series preordered. I may have to buy the first series again if they come with codes (I have the first run by DC direct).

Again I want to say you guys did a great job. I can't wait to play the multiplayer during my spring break. Going to be awesome.

noticed an issue last night where it wouldn't give me grenades when i went to the ammo stacks. Usually it would give me my grenades but occasionally it would give me ammo but no grenades.

Found a bug, on my unlocked Salarian Infiltrator -- powers not mapped to hotkeys and can't remap them to fix. This is on the PC version.

I'm up at N7 80-ish.  Finally got my Widow after already having L5
sniper barrel, L5 extra sniper rounds, L20 infiltrator and had already
been working on several other classes.  Feels overpowered, man.

Killing two guardians in one shot to the middle of their lolshield without even needing to aim is pretty satisfying. =D

I'm curious as to what happens when I run out of things to upgrade.  Several of my weapons are L10 (or X, if you prefer) and most of my upgrades are L5.  Am I going to finally get weapon upgrades for the rare guns like the Widow and the Revenant?

Oh for that, every ammo stack replenishes grenades once or twice a round so if you can not get grenades from one stack go to another, took me a little while to figure out too :)

After I use Wrap power and instantly try to reload my empty sniper rifle (Mantis), I don't get animation weapon reloading by my character (only a heat sink falls out).

There should be a text communication in server waiting room. Using Morse code with ready/unready status by people not having microphone is kinda obsolete.

My Wrap animation (sprite) sometimes flies through walls and hits the target.
