But anyway REITERATION:

Both the Nemsis and the Phantom have shield just as strong as the centurions, and they even regenerate. Too much.

The Phantom is a beeastly assassin with insta-kill skills. I could take that or leave it. If we're keepin' it tho, it just shouldn't be so resislient. It seems like I have to deplete my Revenant  on just one of those things sometimes.

If you can coordinate with your team (and are not being overrun at the time), they can go down really fast. Someone with stasis will sort her out real quick, or any sheild stripping power (Energy Drain or Overload) will expose her to damaging abilities and concentrated fire.

I'm really enjoying the Multiplayer so far with two characters I alternate between: A Quarian Engineer (Level 16) and Human Sentinel (Level 20). I have to say, the Sentinel is by far my favorite and I have a blast using it. I do, however, have a few complaints...

1. I hear some people have some characters unlocked on loadup and others (Myself included) not getting these characters after 10+ Veteren Packs and 30+ Recruit Packs. Honestly, the only character I really want is the Turian or Krogan Sentinel, but the only one I've unlocked so far is the Quarian Engineer. Same thing with guns and upgrades. As of right now I really need Viper upgrades (Only tier 1), but I just keep getting things I never use such as the Tempest (only good SMG but still stinks IMO), Predator (Phalanx is better once you get it), and Avenger. Heck, I get better stuff out of recruit packs minus the Quarian that was in a Veteran Pack. Also, I've been stuck with crappy upgrades for my pistols (Minus the ammo increase) for the entire Multiplayer so far, its not fun. Why not add individual upgrades that can be purchased for the same price? Making it sometimes worth the risk of a random pack, but if you need something (Only uncommon/common stuff) you can pay the extra cash for it (Such as the next Sniper upgrade would be 30k, 50k, 75k, etc).

2. The Pistol and SMG Scopes are horrible and the Assault Rifle Scope is barely tolerable. Why is the movement so sluggish for them?

3. Theres no way to undo set powers on your characters? I'd pay 50k points to reset my Engineer to fix the mistakes I made.

4. Soldiers Adrenaline Rush is completely useless, I tried using him and I stopped after only a few games because of this.

I definitely agree about some other way to aquire certain things.  It will really suck if I just never get the asari adept unlock, when its the one I want to play the most.  Should be able to bank your points and just get one thing but it costs like twice as much as the pack and you only get one thing or something like that

I think the multiplayer aspect is good. A wide variety of classes to choose from. Each class is solid in itself. I can't wait to see what other levels and enemies will be incorporated into the game.

Will the classes be able to be obtained through anything other than luck? It already is starting to annoy me that I have bought a bunch of a different packs and still only have new 3 races... and now of those suit my play style.

Searching for games and
connecting to games often ends up with a “cannot connect to game” error message. I also have
been playing in many games where I either lag out (get disconnected), get consistent
spikes and consequently can't kill much of anything.

I also have a grievance regarding the allocation of
experience when you do get disconnected or leave a game. With leaving a game where the reason is outside of a
user’s control such as lag spikes, hosts disconnects and subsequently you are
disconnect during migration, you are to lose any experience and credits eared
during that game. I can understand that it may encourage people to stay in a
game however it seems to penalise players who are disconnected

seriously, seriously have to fix the connection issues, having 3/5 games not connect is complete nonsense, and the matchmaking has to be better. I'm guessing it is cuz Origin is so ****ty with their ****ty servers. Bioware, if you are going to add multiplayer, then you got to get on EA's asses to fix their ****ty servers and customer service, i'm not paying money to lose connection half the time.

Also, some of the powers fired from cover have to be fixed as most of them just hit the wall in front of you.

In terms of gameplay, I would suggest some sort of radar system, so we have at least some sort of idea where the enemy is, and not continually having people run up our asses because they spawn from all over the place. As for the sprinting, cover etc etc, i would say separate the sprint from the rest of the actions and map it to shift, since its quite useless in multiplayer. Phantoms aren't that overpowered, the whole game relies on balanced teams and teamwork, so having 3 soldiers or something isn't gonna do a whole lot against some enemies.

and yes, random boxes are just a terrible idea, random anything is always a terrible idea, it just frustrates people who don't have time to grind away for hundreds of boxes to get a single item they want.

Game needs text chat... There's even a keybind for it in the menu but it doesn't work?

Also need to able to push escape during a connecting/loading screen and cancel the load. Poor form to make us wait in a loading screen until it times out. It's pretty obvious when it has a connection issue too, since when it works the game loads pretty fast. When it's not loading fast then its guaranteed to be a connection issue. Just let me cancel the load instead of having to wait.

As for balance issues, do not change anything based on the noobs crying nerf. While there might be a few potential balance issues (Turian Sentinel getting both Overload and Warp for example), there's nothing that can't be overcome by just being a better player.

The matchmaking on the 360 feels like its 2006 again. At least its not randomly crashing (that much) anymore.

The "Alliance Network" makes me wonder how many years until EA stops on-line component as they do with most games.

The loading screen of the multi-player showing single-player control scheme is unfortunate, it took me one game to find out how to switch weapons.

Multiplayer is absolutely brilliant, and I've spent the past two days playing it practically nonstop.

However, I do have one very very big issue. During my last round as an asari Adept, the game seemed to forget that I was there. I could shoot enemies in the head with the Phalanx at point blank range and their health bar wouldn't move. My powers were a complete waste as well; Throws and Warps would phase right through my enemies, and Stasis wouldn't affect them at all. I could also use both my Heavy Melee and normal melee with the same effect as weapons fire. Heck, I stood there and took a full clip from a turret and my shields didn't even budge. And I couldn't even act as a bullet sponge for the rest of my squad because 75% of the time, the enemy wouldn't even register my presence around them. It was like this from wave 4 to wave 10, where we wiped...mainly because I couldn't revive my squadmates who fell right in front of me. This is a huge issue, and I bring this up because it would suck to have other people affected by this (which I'm sure they have been, anyways.)

Anyways, other than that one glitch, I've had a complete blast. ^_^ I can't help but think that this glitch was the game's way of punishing me for abusing Stasis... *chuckles* Thanks, Bioware. :)

I enjoyed my first match immensely, though I do wish the lobby system had a different matchmaking style. I sat there for ten minutes for one man to say 'ready'.

I thought the movement was a little blocky when trying to take cover, or maybe that's only because I kept trying to move as I do in Gears of War 2 (wall jumping doesn't work as well as I had hoped!). Very much fun.
I was also thinking why not give the option to just choose a gender, and not have to unlock it?

It's so much fun and addicting but the dropped connection thing is a serious problem. Loosing all that experience is just a huge let down. Also the friend can't connect to the game so you have to play musical chairs is kinda annoying. Other than that I love it.

I never thought I would like the MP, and I'm glad to have been proven wrong. Absolutely loving the missions in the demo and I can't wait to see what else will be added to the full game. That said, there are a few things that could use some improvement.

1) Matchmaking is by far the more frustrating aspect of the game. It's a bit depressing that it's quicker to find a full team by leaving the lobby and searching for another game than it is to stick it out and wait for more people. I've also had the misfortune of leaving a match right as we get a full team because I didn't trust the system to find that last person :( Occasionally I get lucky and it will eventually find people after 5 minutes or so, but considering how quickly I can find a full team just by leaving and researching? One feature I do like is the ability to add new people after the match has already started...such a nice surprise when I'm about to tough out a Silver match with just 1 other person and suddenly we have a full team. :)

2) Random Packs - I've read over plenty of complaints about the random packs, and I tend to agree with that to some extent. The random packs can be fun to open, but it's very frustrating to go through 15 vet packs and not get the thing you want. I saw an idea earlier on this topic about themed packs and completely agree with that suggestion. Trying to get the Widow for my Asari Adept is a royal pain with the system the way it is now, but a sniper rifle pack would make it easier without taking the random aspect out of it.

3) Phantoms - I've also seen plenty of complaints about these, but I have no problem with them the way they are now. I was lucky enough to get the Asari as my first unlock, and I have to say, with the Stasis ability Phantoms are actually a little boring. Stasis + shoot her in the head with my Mantis + another Stasis + another head shot = dead Phantom. I also happen to love their assassin kill; so funny when I'm happily slaughtering enemies, thinking I'm perfectly safe, and all of a sudden I'm dead - and I don't even know what killed me until I check the feed at the bottom. They definitely keep you on your toes, and encourage teamwork so people will be watching each others' backs.

4) Asari Adept - I'm hoping this won't be an issue in the full MP, but Stasis seems to be a little too versatile as it is now. I find myself not using my other abilities at all until an Atlas shows up on the field, and even then I'll usually be the one controlling the Cerberus guys until my team takes out the Atlas' shields, only then bothering with a couple Warps to weaken it for them. It would be nice to see a few more enemies with armor. The Guardian comes to mind; seems a bit silly that something with a riot shield has no armor to speak of...one Stasis and they even drop the shield, making them a very easy kill.

5) Disconnecting during a game - I haven't had too much of a problem with this yet, but it can be very annoying when you get DCed at wave 8 and lose all the exp and credits you spent the last 30 minutes earning. I can understand wanting to discourage people for quitting in the middle of a game, but being penalized because of the servers or your internet connection isn't very fun. I could live with even getting partial credits and exp. One thing I thought of could be a "save point" after the objective rounds, where the exp and credits are actually credited to you after the wave instead of the whole game. I would lose everything after that round, but I could at least get something for my efforts if I DC.

6) Silver/Gold Games - PLEASE add some sort of requirement to be able to join these games. It's very frustrating trying to find a match for gold and ending up with a lvl 1, 5, and 6. Would be nice to require them to clear Bronze before being able to play Silver, and clearing Silver for Gold. I don't have a problem with lower lvls, but when the N7 lvl is the same as their lvl 6 char and they're trying to play Gold...you know it won't end well.

This turned out much longer than I had planned it to be, but I've been playing the MP almost every chance I get for the last few days, it's wonderfully addictive. I've abandoned quite a few games I'm halfway through to play this, and I think the only thing that will tear me away from it now is the full game :) Great job on making MP something that can stand on its own and not just fluff to make ME3 appeal to a larger audience.

Multiplayer is great. I like the credit and the store system, you really have to work for the resources. That fits in nicely with the feel you guys are going with for this game. That said I disagree with the choice of including character customization (class/race combos) in the store packs. We should be allowed to buy those directly, even if they cost a ton of creds (this is an avid role-playing fan nitpicking, but it seems to be a common complaint). As for weapons, I believe they should stay in the packs like they are now. It further reinforces the whole "limited resources" thing the game has going and it forces you to try different weapon combos and strategies you wouldn't have otherwise.

Vanguard seems to be a tad OP. I had a few lvl 20 vanguards in matches with me and they just decimated. I was camping a spawn point and wasn't able to get a kill until the end of round 2 cuz of their abilities' knockback (I'm an infiltrator, so this could just be chalked up to conflicting playstyles but it may be looking into).

Also, from personal experience I can safely say that there is no incentive to playing medic beyond trying to get a team to another "credit wave". A lot of games I played on Silver challenge ended up with me playing medic most of the time and getting NOTHING for it. Adding a bonus for reviving teammates would be nice, it doesn't have to be much, +50 or something, but it would be a good, small incentive for people to work together instead of trying to go solo (I ran into this a LOT).

As for the enemies, they're fine... mostly. I understand that Phantoms are supposed to be tough to kill, but holy ****, BioWare! It takes forever to take a Phantoms barrier down. Again, this may be playstyle differences, since infiltrators aren't made for anything harder than unshielded foes (that's another thing. Please either buff grenade splash damage a tad or give us an ability for shields. Please.), so maybe another class is good against them, but if so I haven't seen proof yet.

Beyond these five complaints I can honestly say I have not had any problems. The controls are nice and tight and the combat is very exhilirating, which is just what I expected. This is everything I could of asked for for Mass Effect multiplayer.

Honestly, its one of the best multiplayer experiences i've had . The adrenaline pump I got on my first evac was something I NEVER felt during any other game. The only real problems are the technical ones - the demo has frozen up numerous times and connection losses are to frequent.
But that hasn't soiled my opinion on it. I was originally going to buy me3 because of single player, now i'm actually pumped for multiplayer.

...I love you bioware :3

I love the multi-player but I can hardly connect to the game even with the ports open and upnp on.

I've also had issues with not being able to climb ladders in the levels, while I also get lag that seems to shuffle me side to side when I am not moving.

Love the game still.

I like it so far.

I am playing it on the PC so her are my 3 most Important things.

1. TEXT CHAT! In the Lobby and In-game.
It will make it so that we can talk to one another and get things done better instead of hoping that the other smuck has a microphone.
2. Let us set the FoV.
This game is not the worst in this regard, but let us change it so people like me do not have to take painkillers to play this. Right now this game is giving me a BLINDING headache when i play because of the FoV.
3. More Options in form of different boxes to buy.
I like the booster pack way of doing things so far, but i would like for there to be more options.

Gun pack - Good chance of Gun related things bad chance of every thing else
Char Pack - Good chance of character Related things
And what ever else one could come up with.

Different pack options to buy would be nice. That's my feedback.

Holy christ!!! Just had about 3 matches on silver with a superb team, everyone knew what to do (Engineer spamming Drones and decreasing shields of the enemies with Overload, Krogan soldier charging on everything; even Atlases xD, and 2 human soldiers spamming concussive shots to bash back these phantoms, they never stood a chance). It was so awesome!!!

Love MP its a great addition, aside from the occasianal bugs ive experienced.

In the future you might consider adding group PVP mode, just make it so that the other group is indoctrinated or something and it makes sense story wise, always the opposing group ofc :P

Bronze seems a bit too hard for the casual player. Even as a ME2 returning player I'm finding it hard to win.
Also getting disconnected on Wave 9/10 and losing all the XP and Credits seems very harsh. If you retained 25-50% of your stuff that would be much fairer.

Everything I lurv about ME series. Love the vertical dimension and large scale setpieces in beginning. I'm going to focus on the stuff that punched me in the face.

-- Environments
Awesome, however one thing that really stuck out at me was the cityscape in the opening mission.

Yes, it's the future, and there probably isn't pollution, but adding just a hint of haze or something to the far-distance would really help sell the scale. I look at those Reapers wreaking havoc on the city, and they look like how they're probably rendered; 1/16 models in Unreal Extended Skybox.
I don't know really, I just know that right now it feels a little like running around on a miniature set with toys. Maybe add a slight DOF wherever you're aiming, so if it's close, the background fades a bit.
TLDR:
Atmospheric Perspective

-- Character designs
Usually, I'm good with faces, so when Ashley says hello, and I draw a blank, that's not good. She doesn't look at all like her previous designs, and I'd say the majority of chars seem to be getting more "realistic" to the point of uncanny valley territory.
Everyone seems to have gotten more...mottled. Anderson looks like he has severe acne scarring.
TLDR:
Mass Effect 2's characters were the best blend between style and realism.
Weird shaders; overdone specularity; something.

--  Animations
Wonderful during cutscenes.
Which makes the switch to combat very jarring.
Terribly stiff upright walk. At least allow the user the option to lower the weapon.
Who, when running across rooftops runs like that?

►Multiplayer►

Just played 6 or so matches. Lost 'em all. Then realized I'd been playing Silver difficulty, so getting as far as I did with Lvl 2-3 not so bad! Great action! Fast, and the enemies are tough and smart! Definitely keeps me moving.

Since moving is so critical now....

-- Cover system needs work.
It works, but barely. Everything that has been suggested so far is a good fix.
Seperate bound keys; particularly for just unsticking yourself from cover.
For console users, maybe a new key could be created by pressing TWO buttons at the same time. Maybe? I dunno.
After playing Deus Ex: HR, I REALLY would like a button for transition to different "planes", so I can crouch myself AROUND cover instead of popping up, running and getting hit, then crouching down again.
TLDR:
Do everything that's been suggested so far. It needs to work better especially since we're being flanked on all sides.
There is no time for long cover animations in this mode.

-- Camera needs work.
Between a bad cover system wherein I tumble from cover to cover, and a camera that's too close, I'm lucky if I don't get shot from 4 different angles by the time I stand up.

-- Infiltrator class
Just a teens bit faster reload? Or a rifle that has two shots at a time? I mean, it's so much better.
If you hit, but don't quite bring them down, you can shoot 1 more time to finish an enemy.

My 2c
Looking forward to the full game!

You know what, i really enjoy this game, and i feel compelled to keep on playing despite it being a demo and unlikely for me to carry on my account once the game comes out. i play every class and find them ll relatively easy to play, once i understood the basics, and plowed through the games. However, althought i know it is a demo, i am inclined to stress the issue of disconnections, both of myself and others (inconsiderates.)
I have never left a game due to "rage" nore felt the need to leave the game at the beginning of a round if i die, like i have noticed alot of others doing, but, through no fault of EA, my internet tends to have a fit at the worst possible times and cripple me mentaly, it flickers off for a couple of seconds, but for long enough to deem all my efforts worthless as i reload Mass Effect 3 Demo to find i have no evidence of this and all that time i spend is now meaningless.
I do agree that to punish leavers is very cruel to some, and very inopropriate for others, and it is good that now penalties are awarded, but the lack of accomplishment that follows a well timed crash may aswell be a punishment in and of itself.
Im not saying that you should give all the players, that leave, all the points they amassed in the game, as that would eventally, and enevatibly, trolls and leachers who may just join a game for the sake of it, and leave when the match gets a little tough, (essentially ruining the game for others.) I am however saying that you should atleast get something that doesnt discredit your wasted time, maybe a reduced score(-10% or something,) or a flat amount of points depending on how long you have been in a game. (the longer you play the better)
I say this because, i have joined 3 Silver and 1 Gold ranked games and i have been disconnected from them when the finnishline was within reach, as they often take between 20-30 mins, and i have been discrouraged from trying to continue attempting silver or higher ranks due to my unstable insternet connection.
Aside from this major flaw, i have nothing else major to complain about as i find this game to be very entertaining and is fun no matter how you are at the time or whichever way you want to play the game, and i know that im not a big COD fan, but i have to say that i find this game to be one of the best multiplayers i have played and is waaaaaaayy up there in my top 3 multiplayer games.

Actually, I seem to remember something in the Codex about Earth saying that the upper atmosphere was still littered with all the old satellites and such from our "bootstrapping into space" days. Seems like if we couldn't get rid of those, we woudn't have much more luck with making our air all nice and pristine.

-Single Player-

I really enjoyed it. The cutscenes, the voice acting, the combat...nice. The graphics were also nice. Two problems stood out:

1. Animations need work. They just appear awkward.
2. A few bugs...especially with the controls. Sometimes I have to press the button a few times before the power is fired.

I know the autodialogue was because this was a demo. I am still expecting a high level of storytelling and dialogue options that I have become accustomed to from the Mass Effect series. I really like the new customize options. I liked the character banter. The game just needs a little more polish.

-Multiplayer-

I'm shocked. I really liked the multiplayer! I hope there is a lot of variety in the maps. But for the most part, I am echoing the opinion of a multitude of guys I played with on multiplayer-it has a ton of potential. However, the big problem with it is polish.

1. I have to hit RB and Y multiple times before the power is fired off.
2. Lag crops up here and there
3. Reviving teammates is a pain. You have to press A over and over again. Can be frustrating. More than 60% of the time I die is because I am trying to revive a teammate and it doesn't work. The other 40% is when my powers won't fire off right.

Fix the glitches and bugs. Give it some more polish. And what you have here is gold. Good stuff.

p.s. so far I have only been maxing out Infiltrator and Vanguard in MP.  I have played every class for the single player demo.

Can't wait for March 6. I have my CE edition waiting for me. Yes, I was letdown a bit by Dragon Age 2...but we can't win them all. I have confidence in you guys. Can't wait to finish the trilogy!

Basically, I LOVE when games do this. When I was running towards that big mountain in Crysis, and giant chunks of rock are coming off, and you see weird alien structures underneath; you're still over a mile or two away from that thing, and they really sell it.

It's just not working here; probably because there is no noticeable decrease in contrast as things recede. There's obvious scale and size cues that tell you that it's in the distance, but since everything has the same overall lightness and darkness it gives it that miniature/amusement park feel.

Yes, it's the future, and there probably isn't pollution, but adding just a hint of haze or something to the far-distance would really help sell the scale. I look at those Reapers wreaking havoc on the city, and they look like how they're probably rendered; 1/16 models in Unreal Extended Skybox.

Actually, I seem to remember something in the Codex about Earth saying that the upper atmosphere was still littered with all the old satellites and such from our "bootstrapping into space" days. Seems like if we couldn't get rid of those, we woudn't have much more luck with making our air all nice and pristine.
