I really enjoyed the demo. My main concern though is that the "A" button CAN NOT be the "do all" button. I tried reviving a teammate who was in an L shaped cover area and all I could do was take cover over and over again and then was finally killed in the process of trying to revive him.

Played the demo on xbox. I played the single player first, it was alright. I didn't like how the reaper invasion was rushed in and introduced. I can only hope its different in the actual game. I can't think of too many problems with the single player. Except Im worried that since u made the multiplayer so fun, im not sure if i even want to player the singleplayer anymore :)

Being unable to play a 4 player match with a friend makes this MP essentially useless for me and I won't touch it unless it gets fixed.

I love how the multiplayer actually works though, no complaints, I just do not want to play with only randoms when I could also play with friends.

A few bugs I have encountered on the demo in multiplayer.

Some are game breaking.

Both involved me being revived on white base.

One as soon as i was revived i was unable to be seen by the enemy. To my allies it is as if i was gliding. My feet werent moving but i was most certainly and going around getting kills. (and the enemy couldn't see me at all) It was a fun bug. Then I went down the stairs and my body started twitching and suddenly i was back to normal.

The other involved me being revived when an atlas rocket went off (i assume thats what caused it)

I was revived below the map I constantly fell until i hit "the bottom" of the map. I couldnt move or aim because i would instantly return to my spot. I couldnt fire my gun. To my allies it was as if i had an invisible body. The enemies would attack "me" - and i was able to lose shields and health (1000 feet underneath them lol) I was able to be "downed" but i was always instantly revived. I was able to use my powers (i was a female vangaurd) i could nova and the explosion would happen where my invisible body was.

The REAL kicker to this bug. was that my teamates couldnt die. They described it as having super shields. Nothing could kill them and they could just shoot enemies swarming over "my body".

After a while like this though suddenly my body froze after doing an ability. Everything went back to normal for my allies and i was unable to do anything at all. after my allies all went down and died. they were on spectate mode for me underground. I couldnt be killed and i couldnt move though. I could not even quit out though. I could pause the game but i couldnt move to select options or quit - it wouldnt let me. We were effectively stuck. In the end i had to quit out to xbox home and void all the points i had made so they could finish the match and get theirs.

Also on the other map - After being killed by a nemisis I miraculously lived and suddenly started to twitch as if i was rubberbanding. But as i was twitching i was slowly "climbing upwards" It was during our extraction this happened. But eventually i was floating about 40 meters in the air and could aim down and shoot at people. I would randomly die though but i could be revived.by people standing under me and doing the revive icon.

Overall I love the beta though. I would like to point out my biggest gripe with this is the character unlocks have no "full proofing system"

I'm level 80 And I just am EXTREMELY unlucky at getting character unlocks. It's not even specific ones I am searching for. Its characters in general. I only buy the 20k packs but make it so after x number of packs you are guaranteed a character. getting 40+ veteran packs in a row without getting a single character is silly.

I think the multiplayer is incredible.
There are a few things that are worth mentioning.

The multiplayer can be pretty buggy at times for example..
- People falling through floors, "Firebase map"
- Infinite shields
- Centurions sometimes completely ignoring some powers you slap them with and owning your face.
- Gun flash muzzles continuing to display even when not firing.
- My bad ass Asari Commando b**** "twice" has been stuck in place at the begining of a session.

The pack system or unlock system is okay I guess, I kind of like the randomness of it, it keeps me coming back to see what I might find but I haven't unlocked any Race/class I would like to play and it's kinda lame, I mean how long can I hold my breath for a Krogan soldier before I get bored of the whole idea. My suggestion..have a another pack that is designed specifically for unlocking race/class types, just make it really expensive to acquire.

Overall though I think the multiplayer is incredibly fun and addicting, I mean the idea of playing a Asari biotic is just insanely cool and something I've always wanted to see and finally got the chance to. You guys really hit a home run with Mass effect 3, fantastic multiplayer and single player.

Things I hate and need improving:
- Increase the chances of unlocking new characters and rare weapons e.g. Claymore, Revenant, Widow
- How if you disconnect either through internet, hosting or server problems you lose all of your match progress. it should auto-save peoples progress every few minutes.
- Increase character customization to the point of modifying armor
- Lack of powers. Add more powers!

I think the lobby matchup system needs a slight tweak. Right now it seems like hitting Quick Match dumps you immediately into the first available slot in the first available lobby. From what I've seen this creates a ton of active lobbies with two or three players, and most of the time other players drop before we get to the full group of four which means at best you have to really stick it out if you want to go with a full group.

I think a better solution would be to hold players in an available state when they hit Quick Launch, don't drop them into a lobby. Then once three other players are found, put them all in the same game. The wait on a per player basis may be higher, but the total wait should be less, at least for players using the random matchup system that want full groups.

If you receive a duplicate, (say another human male vanguard) and that second duplicate unlock has experience points, can those experience points be applied to your first human male vanguard?

I love the demo, but my only problem is the Phantom. They are extremely overpowered. The fact that she can One-Shot you is extremely unnerving along with the fact that they're long range weapons can 3 shot you on the higher difficulties is overpowered and ruins the game for me and my friends.

Multiplayer is just awesome.
I love how is it done now, but there are some things that might be improved.
Here we go:
- Unlock system is rather good, BUT
- having lvl 10 shotgun while playing Infiltrator and using purely sniper rifle (which is, ha-ha, lvl 3) isn't good. As well as 3 different shotgun models and lots of upgrades onto it.
- character unlocks are awful - I never got any Soldier characters, except 1 human. But I got a lot of female Sentinels and female Vanguards, though I never played them.
- <Question#1>: Will we be able to change our powers in full version? Now if I made a mistake in my characters build - I'll have to play with it forever, or create another gender/race (which is bad option, due to skill differences) to choose proper powers.
- <Question#2>: What is that gray "Promote" button for?
- It would be nice to have in-game communication commands, like someone already mentioned (Follow me, Fall back, Cover me, etc.)
- Adding more "specified" packs to store with lower prices would be a great idea (like Medi-Gel pack, Ammo pack, Weapon bonus pack, Armor upgrades pack, Character pack, Epic/Rare/Uncommon/Common weapon packs, Weapon upgrades pack, etc.)
- Add something like "access system" to silver and gold - you should complete lower tiers of level to unlock it's higher difficulty and restrict minimal lvl for silver and gold. Getting clueless lvl 1 %username% on gold ain't fun at all.
- Short level description (like lore/smth else usefull) for each level is a good way to go. Also that "Ima 1st time in ME and Ima do not know what buttons to push" screen should be replaced with smth else. Really, it's annoying.

Thats all I could remember for now, maybe will add something else later.
Really great game, even this demo is amazing.

definetly a really nice add on to the sequel, especially playing as turians, drell with their own unique dodges and melee's my only negative comment is theres no lobby it turns into a pain with quick match when you get paired with people who wont start a game until theres 4 people exactly, and the issue of connections liking being disconnected from a host even though you never entered the group.  I definetly like the whole credits gained through a match to buy upgrades really neat add.Image IPB

Something that just happened to me in the last game I was in... I have no problem with how big of a threat the Phantoms are to the players, but consider removing their ability to kill a player and give them no opportunity to revive. Having a one-shot kill move is fine; just at least allow the player to make a comeback.

I was just on Firebase Ghost, and a Phantom was shredding up my (unobservant) teammates. I ran in cloaked (as an Infiltrator) to heal them up. I succeeded, but I ended up taking heavy damage. As I was trying to get to cover, the Phantom sliced me. Alright; no big deal, I have Medi-Gel. When I revived, I instantly restored my shields and sprinted past her. I was a good two or three feet past her when she started initiating her "Instant Kill" animation; and I was literally pulled backwards by some invisible force and shoved into melee range with her just so I could eat that instant finisher. I even had another revive... but I couldn't pop it, and we ended up loosing on wave nine.

So In short:

1. Keep the Instant kill move, that's fine. Just give the player a chance to resurrect.
2. Fix whatever makes your character get sucked back toward the Phantom just to get insta-killed.

Infiltrator cloak is a bit buggy in both SP and MP as it can take half the duration of the cloak for enemies to register your invis ( not saying it should be instant like me2, i'm fine with them shooting where you used to be, but if i run half way across the map how are they following me?)

Like the random pack but maybe have weapon and character packs at high prices? like 50k or more

A few more objective types or a final one thats map specific would be cool, like defeat boss type, destroy item (me2 style like inside the reaper or shield generators etc) open doors ...

"Linear" Mission style maps where you progress further each round would be cool. For instance wave 1-2 clear entrance, 3 hack door, 4-5 engage targets inside, 5 disable security, 6-7 fight your way to the core, 8 destroy, defeat or steal target, 9-10 run back, 11 extraction ( i know this would be more dlc)

Minor suggestions like : Male quarians, krogan vanguards or adepts (like wrex) human sents to have throw and sabotage maybe so it fits the theme of half tech half biotic, and maybe story cutscenes like Assassin's creed rev to help set the tone?

Other than that LOVE objectives keeps things interesting, love the team based nature of it and the need for the different classes,I find the more you play the more you work as a team even as randomers. In one instant without speaking a infiltrator and I worked perfectly together to take down guardians (throw plus sniper head shots). Can't wait to see how it connects to single player

The only thing i would really like to see fixed is the space bar for cover/res/run

reviving players while they are close to cover is just to damn annoying to pull off.

just thought of another issue when changing charactors i and most of the people i played with encountered that their skill bar was bugged out.

The multiplayer certainly exceeded my expectations. I didn't think that the mp experience could offer so much depth from co-op modes, and there is still a lot that could be added on to make it even more impressive. Between the talent trees, weight system and healthy array of weapons and mods there are a lot of creative ways to get a play style tailored uniquely to you.

Things I'd like to see added
a) I'd like to see some different game modes that involve escorting VIPs or moving through a more linear map and taking objectives
B) More customization for the MP characters, the color options were a good start.
c) If it was possible, I'd love to be able to use my single player Shepard skin after I've beaten the game with a certain difficulty or class, along with the ability to alter the appearance and have the remove helmet option (this applies to the Single Player as well, not just on cut scenes). Shepard could share the shame talent tree and loadout as your human race for that class.
d) After reaching level 20 with the corresponding mp class players should be able to purchase other races for that class, rng isn't nice to everybody and players shouldn't suffer because they weren't lucky enough to get their desired race/class
e) talent tree resets, for a nominal credit fee of course

As everybody else mentioned match making needs to be improved, it would be a shame for something like that to ruin the experience. Reviving people should not be A, it interferes with too many other functions. Heavy melees are also very prone to missing, I've whiffed so many times only to have my opener wasted as infiltrator. Polish away the various bugs/glitches and this will be a solid MP, that isn't a COD formula. I applaud games like Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed for branching out like this. Looking forward to March 6th

Edit: Points for reviving team mates. Putting yourself in danger or refraining from the action a moment should yield some sort reward for you.

Also: What is the exact method of determining attributes for the different Races? It seems to me:

Human: Average Health & Shields/Barriers, Standard Dodge Moves, Standard Melee, Average Speed
Drell: Below Average Health & Shields, Upgraded Dodge Maneuver, Combo-Melee, Fast Speed
Asari: Slightly Above-Average Health & Barriers, Upgraded Dodge, Explosive Melee, Average Speed
Quarian: (I can't remember Health & Shield Values), Side-Step Dodge, Standard Melee, Av. Speed
Salarian: (Haven't played with one yet; can't judge.)
Turian: High Health & Shields, No Dodge Whatsoever, Standard Melee, Average Speed
Krogan: Enormous Health & Shields, No Dodge Whatsoever, Upgraded Melee, Slow Speed

That's just my guestimates. But some Races seem vastly overpowered than others. For example, out of the two "Soldier" Races, Krogans do nearly everything better than the Turians when it comes to survivability and melee. I wonder if giving the Turians a form of dodge (even if it's just a little side-step) would help balance them out?

Also, Quarians feel like reskinned humans. They need more personality or some defining characteristics in gameplay.

There are few things they need to improve, like some of them are in here....:

*More deeply shopping options, not just Veteran or Recruit Packs (different categories, like characters, weapon mods, ammo, supplies and customization unlocks { Secondary colors, light colors, etc...}).

*The Super "A" button.

*Sometimes glitchy start ( I couldn't move for an entire match).

*More deeply weapon customization (Colors, Weapon MODs to buy on the shop).

*"Super Phantoms" ( 1 hit shield pistol kill).

From what I heard from someone online don't quarians have massive shield low health, to represent their suits and weak bodies?

You might be right on it. It's hard for me to remember... I stopped playing with my Quarian Engineer because the Sentry Turret power was so disappointing. But on the vague memories I have at that time, it just didnt like to me (personally) they operated very differently from Humans. I could be totally wrong about that, though.

I don't have a problem with alot of the stuff being listed here, my only two issues that I have been affected enough by are the A button being used to everything, and the fact that in every Veteran Pack I get, if I ever DO end up getting a character, it's a human character and I only get them about 1/10 of the time anyway.

I love the multiplayer however like most Ive had problems. I LOVE the Co-op style no stupid PvP like other games, where someone could get X character with X weapon and X powers, then sit in a corner and camp getting kills with no skill involved.

Pros
Mass Effect MultiplayerImage IPB enough said
Characters powers - Seem to be balanced  and work within the classes and races information (Still want a Krogan Vanguard and Drell Infiltrator thou)
Weapons - Balanced but must learn how to shoot them with some of the new changes
Levels - Good for making it so you dont get to stay in one spot and hold off the entire wave spawn. I would like to see some bigger leverls thou.

Cons

Phantoms - They are overpowered, their shot attack is way to strong as well as their melee attack. Is it good to have an emeny that  a Krogan Soldier sees and go "PHANTOM! RUN!!!!!!"
Combat Engineers -  Why can they use more than one Turret at a time?
Grenades -  Why do you only get 1 or 2 grenades from the ammo boxes when you can carry up to 3?
Fitness -  Whats the point in having a boost to all of your stats when the Phantom can just one-shot or insta kill you?
Adrenaline rush - Why does it say " Accelerate reflexes, granting time to line up the perfect shot." when all it does is boost my damage?
Supplies - Why can we only use two of any given supply if we can stockpile around 100?
Ammo - Could we get a description of what the ammo grants? I play a Soldier so I know a general description of what they do but I would like to see if anything has changed from mass effect 2
Weapon damage upgrades -  Could we get a percent increase instead of just applies X rail amp?
Character Tranning - Why is there not a system to stop me from getting more character tranning cards after im level 20 and have all the appearance upgrades?
Race restrictions - Will there be a way to make different race/class combos in the game or are we stuck with these?
Drell -  Why are the Assassins close range combat Vanguards not long range Infiltrators? If they stay Vanguards could they get more health and barriers?
XP - Why do we get so much? If its to compensate for the random weapons and euqipment its fine as is
Engineer/Quarian Drone/Turret - Why do they attack so slow and not do that much damage outside their level 6 upgrade?

Its an all around good design I just would like to be given a reason for attacking said spot rather than "Attack here, hold for 10 waves of enemies then 11th wave come back we need to leave." Could we get a way to guarantee getting certain characters or weapons, the random packs are nice but I wouldnt mind paying more to get a certain character or weapon then a chance to get one? Ive been trying to get the Revenant Machine gun since the demo came out on the 14th but I still havent got it. I apologise that most of my cons are in questions but Im curious why their that way. I CANT WAIT ON THE GAME COME ON MARCH 6TH!

Love the game play.  Hate the random demo packs and getting almost nothing worth mentioning.  In Magic the gathering packs there is 1 rare, 3 uncommons, and 15 commons.  I think guaranteeing a rare in the more expensive packs would go along way

Really enjoying the multiplayer so far, just a few comments.

Not sure of this has been mentioned yet but the Sentry Turret that the Quarian Engineer gets is VERY underpowered, when I finally got the Quarian Engineer after many many Veteran Packs I was really disappointed. I upgraded it completely mainly focusing on damage, and picking Cryo Rounds and Rockets but it can't kill ANYTHING!!! To check it out before going to a regular game I went into a private match on bronze and decided to test it out... well not so good results. At first I just threw it at a regular enemy to check how long it would take to kill him, well it missed all shots but one, did barely any damage and blew up after a couple of shots from the enemy. And most of the time that it did hit people they didn't freeze, there is only like a 5% of it freezing people. Then I decided to just check out how long it takes to kill enemies that don't move, so I killed all but one enemy, froze him and threw down the turret, I had to freeze the guy 4 or 5 times before the turret finally, slowly killed him. If it was at least firing in rapid full auto (like enemy turrets) instead of small bursts in big intervals and had a bit more health it could at least be a little bit more useful. Sorry for the long rant.

Another thing that would be nice is more things to buy at the store like different packs or even individual weapons or upgrades (Just more expensive than the random packs, the weapon and upgrade ones, the equipment ones should be cheap). Or at least increase the chances of getting good things from the packs.

3 more things, either increasing the level cap or letting people reset their points (anytime or reaching the level cap) and more randomness or things to do, at the moment everything is predictable and the same. And the last thing, after a character has reached level 20 the XP they earn can be either divivded and given to classes that are not level 20 or give credits instead of XP, a percent of it of course, maybe 5-10%.

If you have read so far, thank you, you are awesome, if not,

tl;dr Buff the sentry turret A LOT, more packs to buy, increase the level cap, ability to reset points, and more randomness and things to do.

Re-posting here because i also complained about my issues in this thread.

let me change my previous statement. When i posted saying i was mad that i kept getting the same weapon i had only played a few games and had not figured everything out. Now i see that everytime you unlock a multiple it levels up that gun. With that understanding now i love the MP i had a full day to play and I couldnt put it down. It does suck when you want something and dont get it, for me thats the Mattock but its much more enjoyable then say COD where you know what you are getting every time you prestige its the same thing, better weapons as you level up and for people like me who play when i have spare time that sucks, you cant compete with people who play 12-15 hours a day and when you miss a day forget it everyone has lapped you.
