i liked the idea of a mode where you have already taken the "area" but are actively working to make it a better stronghold while defending intruders. if setting up a comm station, it would go faster using an engineer. or if trying to improve an areas defense, a soldier or infiltrator would get a time bonus. something to encourage multiple classes more and also make you feel like you were fortifying a territory.
but i'm sure that with the full version discussions like this will lessen. it is just a demo. and a demo is only a reflection of a fraction of the game.

For feedback to help improve this aspect of the game, here is a list.
-Make it so that upon starting up multiplayer we get to choose our first character from any of the characters. Upon selecting your first character, all characters become locked. I really hate playing as characters i dont want to, enabling us to choose any char from the begining then locking all other classes will be for the best. Everyone will be happy, players can be who they want, and there is more to unlock.
-We need more customization options, such as suits and helmets. I would really like to equip a helmet on my Salarian.
-Sub Machine guns need a boost in power. No one uses them.
-Drells really need more shield points, they are so weak.
-The Revenant Really needs a damage boost, its heavy for no reason.
-We need more objectives, not just 3 different ones (upload, shutdown, and assassinate), it feels too repetitive.

and now that i have played it in the Demo for a few hours
i must say that i liked the unlocking system tho it wasn't perfect it made things more interesting
but i must say that it hasn't changed my mind on the Co-op / MP mode
i still believe that i t was and is going to be the worst part of ME3
don't get me wrong it is not bad in the way that it isn't fun to play but only for a little while
but then again MP games aren't really my thing and i believe that there are already more than enough MP games out there
just hope that the ME3 DLC won't be 90% MP/ Co-op stuff like maps / weapons and armor since that would really suck

If anything, I think the unlock system is fair (if frustrating). People should get rewarded for playing and not be able to buy their way to the best classes/gear.
As others have said it would be nice if my friends and I could join public games together.

Yes, addicted too. I cannot address carnage,inferno, viper but the Mattock...yes. That has been my main go-to weapon until now. The Phalanx pistol is over-powered vs the Mattock. In fact, the Mattock should be as powerful, if not moreso, than the current Phalanx pistol and the pistol should be less powerful than it is currently. Rifle ALWAYS overpowers pistol (OK, excepting .22 LR). I end up using th Phalanx PISTOL like a rifle and sniper rifle (with the scope on it). That's just wrong.

Agreed. I have the same problem. I only have one friend playing the demo and it's really annoying trying to get others to play with. If we make a match no one joins, so we have to search games until we find one with two empty slots then invite the other player. We spend more time looking for matches than playing. It would be so much easier if we could group up and then search for a match.

plenty of players are frustrated about the chaotic matchmaking system and talk about it in the game lobbies.
additionally, let players buy what they want from the shop. the random packs seem like a gimmick to force players into putting more hours into the game than they really want to play.

EDIT: I've also had two critical errors shut down the game today. Is it just me or are the bugs getting worse?

Only two real problems on my end:
1) When my connection to a host isn't that great, but I haven't disconnected, I tend to glitch into a shaking state where my movements sometimes become erratic. When I take cover, the shaking state causes me to either dislodge from cover or levitate above it. Ultimately, I end up glitching into a permanent falling state either above or below the map. This mostly occurs when I am using a movement-heavy class such as the Vanguard, especially after a Biotic Charge
2) Freezing issues: My (demo) game will sometimes freeze for no reason. It's very much a problem, considering I have to restart my PS3, then go through the 'report and repair' phase. The freezes sometimes come from glitches, such as being the 'Unnamed level 0' in a lobby, but the more irritating ones I have seem to not have any specific triggers. The most recent one I can remember came from my first Gold Challenge attempt (luckily, a success). When I was trying to shoot a Phantom that was in cover, using my Scimitar (Incendiary Ammo, if that information is needed) and the game just froze.
What on earth is causing those random freezes?
Finally, a personal gripe: The random Pack acquirements. I'm all for doing something that won't have a person saving up for weeks to get, say, the Krogan Soldier class. But I've acquired just about every weapon available in the demo (excluding the Carnifex and the super-weapon upgrades). I've already recieved all the customization options for my human class-counterparts, and now I'm just getting small EXP packs for the ones I haven't leveled up completely.
Couldn't the system be tweaked to increase the chances of getting something else after a while?

- Make the submachines more powerful.
- Reduce the weight of guns like the Revenant or make it worth the weight.
- Im not sure if this is a bug or surposed to happen or what but sometimes when im using Widow and an enemy has like 3 shield/barrier bars left the damage which should kill them in a headshot only takes the shield/barrier off.
Besides that, I loved it!

Question: Do any of the enemies have rapid shield/health recharge cuz sometimes it feels like your unloading all the power of zeus into these things and yet they still stand.
I hope you people responsible for creating the multiplayer portion of the game have an appropriate leaderboard based on how well a player does cuz this demo leaderboard is stupid, in how the whole N7 rank is only the cumulative total of all of your characters current class levels. Take a look at how a horde leaderboard is done by Halo firefight, Gears of War 3, Call of Duty: zombies and spec ops 2.0.
I'm gonna place my faith in the last paragraph as the demo is only a demo I'm sure the actual product has been fleshed out. The game is just overall too good for all you smart people to have not produced something of incredible quality, like the first time you discover pizza........ or SEX!
One more thing, how come there hasn't been more information about what awaits us in this mode as it's so close to launch? What's the dealyo?

The kings are dead, long live the king. I declare Mass Effect 3's new co-op mode to be ****in' dude. I was completely floored when I first played this game. Looks great I'm kinda likin' the photo's that studios are putting into their games now and the one on noveria is nice I understand that it saves time to do that rather than creating real backdrops. Plays awesome, I really feel immersed as each character. Weapons are done well, same with the sounds. The two maps look and function great, i'm beating my head against the wall to see the rest when the game comes out damnit. Send band-aids. Never had a doubt that this game was going to have multiplayer, you just can't fool me, and knew it was gonna be relatively good, but this is MEGA FUN.

- Bugs - my character has fallen under map twice, when I revive my team-mate.
- Weapons need to be balanced. In my opinion SRs (especially Mantis compared to widow) are overpowered, SMGs and ARs are undepowered. Pistols and shotguns are fine.
- Cryo Blast needs a buff. It sucks compared to Bubble Stasis. Well, maybe it'll be fine vs different enemies, because it has lower cooldown than Stasis. Still useless on silver and gold vs Cerberus.
- class/Race combinations. Same as above - need to see other enemies, but I think Quarians are weak compared to others. Engineer's Cryo Blast + Incinerate combo, is well - fun, but useless on silver/gold. Infiltrator's Sabotage will be useless probably, unless cooldown is low enough to use it for backfire. And last tier of Quarian defender: -30% SMGs weight ? Seriously ? Same for Asari -30% HPs weight. These weapons are the lightest available. I have no opinion about Drell tho since I've never played Drell character.
- Overload is overpowered ! It eats shields and barier and even stun, while Incinerate have problems with armor...
- For me, random shop is good idea, but maybe separate levels for characters ? When I unloacked quarian, I get 10 level for start. I would love to level 2 engineers, not just one
- Character names are too short and ....
- Why even bother with character names, when only name which appears in a game is Origin nametag ?
- More unlockable armor patterns - not just 2 stripes and cammo.
- Dedicated server maybe ? Well I require too much I suppose

Otherwise pleased with MP with several comments:
No reconnect option to rejoin a game in progress.
Host leaving: Lost rewards for 3 others, sometimes with less than 20 seconds to go until extraction.
Shotguns: don't seem to do much damage and can't headshot.
Enemies dodge projectile powers too often even if they don't have line of sight to reasonably 'see' it coming.
Infiltrator Cloak doesn't drop agro sometimes.
Seemed like headshotting with weapons was just better overall than using damage powers unless they somehow crowd controlled the enemies... like to better line up more headshots.
