Thats what i don't think is true. An Infiltrator is a combination of Engineer and Soldier. And only the Hybrids have this shared power, all the pure classes may have powers shared between two but not all of them.
Going with your argument every Soldier should get Adrenalin Rush and every Engineer the Drone and every Adept Singularity, because those are the class defining powers.

I don't think Stasis is OP but I won't whine if something is done to it.

Mattock should be laser accurate by default. Even with a scope it is all over the place.

Pistols are perfect. Would prefer a laser sight over a scope. Don't nerf them.

SMG's should get a accuracy buff. Power is fine.

Raising the level cap so we can max all skills would be nice. 

PUT N7 WEAPONS IN MULTIPLAYER.

Krogan health should eventually slowly regenerate to full on it's own. (For lore purposes)

Krogan should be able to take the shield from Guardians and beat them to death with it. (for teh lulz)

I can't really comment on anything else because we haven't played the full game.

Will there be any other game modes? I enjoyed the multiplayer but it would be good to have some objective based missions to play rather than just fighting waves of enemies.

Like making your way through a Cerberus base to destroy it, then escape etc just a little more variation would be good

I've tried SMG more, and finally they are not underpowered (or just a bit. edit: or to be more precise, maybe a little more effective range. Because at close range they kick ass, there's no problem there).
But vertical recoil should be lowered a lot imho (and not only for smg but all automatic weapons, so including full automatic assault rifles)

Ran into a a slight problem that could be bug or lag or some other thing.

1 game I suddenly couldn't damage even the basic cerberus grunt with either my assault rifle or sniper rifle. Their health bar just flickered at the end. The game had just become quite laggy so that might be it.

Another game hours later I ran into the same problem with one specific enemy turret that had me pinned. Totally unable to damage it. This game didn't seem laggy and afaik it was only 1 invulnerable turret.



That last game was helluva fun eventhough it ended in that Alamo moment. I was the only one left on my team and had to download intel. All the while there was 2 phantoms circling me plus 2 engineers having me pinned with their sentries AND then all the other enemies.... At the end all I could do was pull them in over the barricade and melee them *lol*

I enjoyed it alot. Sometimes when enemies are knocked down by things like neural shock or concussive shot they bugged out. I spam powers so it was not a problem but I could see it coming up and being an issue for things like the sentinel

About SMG, finally they need a boost. They are only effective with armor piercing ammos. Take anything else and even at close range they hit like a peanut launcher.

Also ran into a new bug: auto fire being lost. And I see why: firing didn't happen when pressing click anymore, but when releasing click !! Which mean of course I couldn't "hold click" anymore.

Damn there a so many bugs in this demo... you really have much work to fix them all....

 I've been playin the online co-op on the PS3 with my friends and I'm truly enjoying it a WHOLE LOT for the most part!!!  :happy:

The weapons handle very well & they sound excellent.  I'm enjoying using powers such as Singularity and Shockwave with my Human Adept character.  I like earning in-game credits & buying Veteran Packs & being surprised at unlocking new weapon, armor, & equipment bonuses or upgrades.  

3 things that I didn't like:
a) Game freezes/pauses briefly at the beginning of each wave,
B) My character cannot easily move out of cover:  I see an on-screeen prompt that shows arrows telling me to move in a certain direction but I don't want to move that way.  THIS REALLY NEEDS TO BE FIXED!!!!
c) The showing of the incorrect controller configuration/layout for multiplayer - instead, you showed the one for single-player.

I forgot to mention this - but I would have liked to see the First Aid power available to at least 2 of the race/class characters. Will this be available in the full game?

I'm getting the "All but one powers disappear from my hotbar bug" quite a bit after I switch characters. Annoying especially when I can't reapply them to the bar myself and I have to log out then back in to fix it.

From the moment the Demo was available I played through the single player just to get to the multiplayer early (thanks to the ME3 Facebook App). Since February 14 I have been playing the multiplayer every night for about 5 hours+ and I LOVE IT!

Like most people I didn't know what to expect for the multiplayer and I was pleasently surprised when I finally got to play. Some key things I found however (that may or may not have already been mentioned and I apologise if they have) are as follows:
  • Changing class between missions resulted in the hot keys not updating and in most cases not able to be used at all. Manually trying to assign powers to the hot keys failed and more often than not we had to end the game and make a new one to make the powers carry over correctly.
  • Character upgrades (I know has been noted already through the purchase of upgrade packs being a little on the difficult side) but the simple fact that starting as a human you aren't given the choice of sex to begin with. Luckily for me I was able to play Infiltrator and Vanguard as a female character, but when I switched to Soldier I was a guy. Even when I did finally unlock my only other Character, my Soldier was a Krogan guy.
  • Krogan Character: whilst I can appreciate that the Krogran is big and bulky, not being able to roll in and out of cover like all the other classes was most annoying - expeically with those pesky grenades. Upshot however was that for the most part I rarely used my weapon or powers with the Krogan, melee was just too awesome.
  • Character Customisation: Is it likely that we're able to combine some of the powers from the different classes? I mean I LOVE the Vanguard Biotic Charge and Nova, but really like the Singularity from the Adept - surely the Adept should be able to learn the other biotic powers, or perhaps something in a level up/character unlock. An asari being a natrual (and powerful) biotic should be able to do all these powers as opposed to any other races that are still "new" to biotics like humans.
  • Currently I think I have something like 50 thermal clips and 80 ops packs, but when I go into a mission I can only carry 2? Same with medigel...is this something that will be kept by design in the multiplayer that only a certain amount of supplies can be taken in with you on each mission or is this something to look at to fix?
  • Without sounding too much like a whiny girl, goddamn I hate Phantoms. The ability to give you an insta-death and then also camp (read: do flips and dance) around your corpse only lays insult to injury. Don't get me wrong, they are a great and challenging enemy, but man they are annoying.
  • In addition to the love/hate relationship of Phantoms - I also hate Engineers. Turrets just don't seem to let up in any way and disabling them is tedious. Especially when some bright spark Cerberus Engineer puts his turrets right on where your objectives are.
  • Maps - I've mostly been playing the Noveria map which is fairly well laid out. Not too sparse with cover and no where that you can "camp" and shoot everything easily (although there are some places you can defend quite nicely. The objectives force you to get up and move around which is rather awesome).
  • Atlas - is there a way like in the single player to unlock the Atlas and use it yourself in the multiplayer maps?
  • In some games, a friend (playing a soldier) and I (playing an infiltrator) experienced some difficulty with some enemies appearing invincible if they were beyond certain points in the map. We would shoot them, see their health meter flash, but no damage was taken. If the enemy was 2 steps forward, or to the left then this wasn't a problem. This was mainly experienced in the lower level of the Noveria map with the soldier taking position outside the entrance to the building and the infiltrator further back. The phenomonon was experienced with enemies on the ladder up to the Landing Zone area and if the enemies were in the building primarily by the Soldier player. We recreated a game (where I playing an Adept took up the position of the Soldier) but didn't experience any such issues - it was difficult to explain over voice chat/Origin exactly what was/was not happening so I didn't know exactly what to look for.
  • Finally, the biggest issue that I faced when playing with people on my friends' list was Origin servers randomly dropping out, unable to connect to games and generally requiring a restart each time we played a game which obviously isn't ideal. I'm not sure if we're all on dodgy connections here in Australia (although I did manage to successfully play a few rounds with a friend in the UK) but we were clearly having issues.
Overall, the multiplayer part of the demo (and subsequently the game) is a welcome addition and so much fun.

CANNOT WAIT for release in 4 days :)  :wizard:

the multiplayer was very enjoyable for the most part, but I've had a lot of problems with being disconnected from the EA servers. for a day it might be ok but then the next day the amount of lag and disconnects rendered the game unplayable. I hope this will be fixed for the actual release.

Awesome MP. Top marks pretty much all around, some bugs certainly need fixing. About the gameplay though:

- Bolt action sniper rifles seem WAY too punishing compared to the viper with their reload times. The extra damage just isn't worth the reload time. On gold the widow or mantis will more than likely not one-shot someone anyways and during the same time (more or less) I can fire three-four shots with the viper before i've finished putting the second round in my mantis. Either nerf the Viper or buff the others because I can see little to no reason to use the bolt action snipers over the viper.

- Shockwave is incredibly underwhelming and more often than not it doesn't have the reach to fulfill it's purpose. I think that it's base range should be increased by 5 meters while keeping the option to increase it's range by a further 5 meters.

- Incinerate seems very underwhelming damage-wise, at least compared to ME2. Atlas's armor bar barely moves when it's used. Enemies don't really seem to take all that much damage from it. Often not even Incinerate -> Overload -> Tech Burst isn't even enough to kill an assault trooper (Silver+) There isn't much reason to play a human engineer as a 'caster' because of how underwhelming incinerate is. Sure you have overload and drone as well, but overload is only useful for taking out shields and your drone has an extremely short cooldown. Incinerate is really the only thing a caster engineer would use. In my opinion it should be buffed, not massively or made overpowered but given a little bit of love.

- The matchmaking system really doesn't care how bad the hosts connection is really. More often than not i've got some serious lag when joining partys. It's not my internet connection, trust me on that one. If not the matchmaking system please give us a way to vote to change hosts mid-game.

- Random boxes that have everything you want in them are kind of lame when they are the ONLY way to unlock new characters, weapons or mods. I'm fine with the whole randomness aspect. But why just recruit and veteran? why not give us the option to open a weapons crate or a character crate instead (or as well as) so if I desperately want a new character and don't care much for new weapons I can spend (even more?) credits on a guarantee of getting a new character or extra apperance options with no chance for weapons or mods. I Would GLADLY play three times the amount of credits as the veteran pack just for a new character that I haven't unlocked yet.

- ALL of the sub-machine guns are just hopeless. I know even in the description of the Hornet it says that cerberus operatives are properly trained to handle the recoil you get from this gun but really, there is a lot of recoil and there is just plain ludicrous. Hornet can ONLY be used vs an atlas properly, and it's damage -  even versus shields - is beaten by a phalanx, which also weighs FAR less (less than half the weight ?). The locust is the most viable but it's damage is just so low that it's not even close to being better to use than a pistol. The shuriken and tempest are just hopeless - No damage and spray everywhere. Buff all of the SMGs ! To use any SMG over a pistol just cripples yourself. 

- Reduce the chance to get thermal clip packs from recruit/veteran boxes please. I have 117 Thermal Clip Packs, mostly because they are almost never used because you never need them since almost every gun has ammo upgrades and ammo stashes are littered everywhere. Give more medigel instead, actually need that stuff !

I agree, especially with the last part.  i would pay 50k credits for a race/class pack instead of 20k for the veteren pack

I'm pretty sure that this is a bug, but after a while, when you start running out of things to get from the Veteran Packs* you start getting common items from the packs (I got 5 common Veteran Packs before I finally unlocked 2 golden things 2 packs later.). The thing is that the pack guarantees at least one uncommon or BETTER, so if the pack runs out of uncommon things to give it should start giving the rare or gold items. I have been trying to get the Quarian Infiltrator for ages and when I was starting to run out of things to get I was getting excited to get her but when I got common items from the Veteran Packs I got depressed. And the thing is that the items that I got from the Pack were not even useful at all (I got customization and XP packs for my starter characters that were all fully customized and lvl 20, and even if they were not, 12,500 XP is nothing since you get 10 times as that in a regular game).

So this is an issue that should really be fixed because even though I don't like the whole dice roll thing of packs, I'm ok with it, but them not giving what is promised is just unfair and unjust and makes getting what you want almost impossible.

It's been awsome so far except on my last match there was a weird glitch. At that start it gave 1013 ammo for my M-98 widow and when it got was 10 it gave a "take out the enemy target" objective, but instead it never spawned the target and then it infinetly spawned atlases, assaults, guardians, and centruians. Eventually it stopped tracking points and I let my self be killed and then just quit. Hopefully that doesn't happen in the full version.

There are glitches here and there. I've run into a repeat recently where there is a bad sign that almost guarantees, I suspect, a glitch is going down: if after you and your team disperse into the arena and you look back at the landing zone and see the shuttle is still there and remains there for wave after wave, a glitch is in the offing. In each case I have seen this I have run into issues: my character's power or gunshots/bullets become ineffective, having no effect on enemies. In one episode my character was lacking his key power entirely - it wasn't listed in the bar at the top left of the screen (PC) and was unavailable. In each case the only correction is to quit the match and re-try.

I've run into a few laggy servers.  After a quick match is setup, perhaps the person in the match with the lowest latency should automatically be made the "leader", switching from the original if necessary.  I've run into issues where I get laggy or where my character is unable to hold a position - he will instantaneously jump from point A to point B (a meter apart) unless I plant him on hard cover.

Cover is REALLY sticky.  This is the main reason for me getting killed in many matches is that I get glued to cover and cannot get off before I am cut to pieces (phantom) or blown away by bullets or grenades.  Not sure how to best balance this as the cover is great and useful but is in many circumstances just too sticky.

The last time i played my asari adept i could not do anything after a few rounds, this makes you pretty useless. Has anyone looked into this as i have seen it mentioned in other threads but had not run into the problem at that point.

I wouldn't call that a bug concerning the veteran packs.  There cannot be an infinite number of "unique" items.  Just can't be.  Perhaps they should alter the wording so it doesn't say "guarantee" a unique item. 

At this point, I have purchased enough veteran packs that I have several of each character class available to me. What I wouldn't mind being able to do is trade/swap out some of them with someone else.  I have character X that I don't want and you have character Y that I do want, and vice versa...want to trade? 

Also, it IS a Demo rather than the full game so perhaps we should wait until the full game release (I start playing first thing tomorrow!) and see how it goes then.  There will be more maps, more enemies beyond Cerberus...just more. 

While it would be nice to be max out a character's abilities in MP I also don't mind not being able to.  You are forced to do a balancing act, making tradeoffs here and there to get something you really want at the expense of something else.  Having it all makes it a little too easy. 


Here's what I want to see in the full game MP: if the leader quits or the server glitches during the heat of a match, rather than players losing any and all credits and xp they had acquired to that point, how about they still get it?  Make the credits and xp sticky to the character so we don't just lose everything due to an issue beyond our control?

About smg recoil: the problem mainly lies into scope mode. When not in scope view recoil is "manageable" but when zoomed in with scope recoil becomes crazy !! You would need 2 meter wide mouse support to be able to compensate the recoil without lifting your mouse every 500ms. SMG recoil definitely need to be toned down a lot when using scope view.

Asari Adept needs some tweaks.
