I'm having Issues not sure if its Origin or the demo, but each time I click play on the demo I get to the main menu of mass effect 3. However it tells me that EA Origin is no longer running and then closes. I'm worried, because if the Demo doesn't work for me and I pre-ordered Mass effect 3 collecters Edition for the PC Months ago and If I have the same issue for the full game I'm just gonna be angry.

make sure your connection is stable if your running origin in online mode. if not you could try running origin in offline mode then try running the demo to see if it works. hope this helps.

you should get an automatic product code when the demo downloads. open the origin client and click on the information button and there should be a product code displayed.

Good i cannot even pass origin's log in page, it say i must be online to access the service.
I'm really curious to see the living hell that will happen at the relase of the game.

That's happening to me as well when I try to get it from the main website. If I get it via Origin it just gives me an error message without saying what the reason for the error is. I'm gonna take a guess and say it's just some demo launching complications and it'll be fixed soon.

have you tried running task manager? try alt tabbing out of the game and ctrl+alt delete check tasks to see if the client is still running? or alternitively you could create a desktop icon and double click to see if that works.

Hi,

Sorry to hear you are having problems.

I just want to confirm a few things first.:
1) Can you confirm you are launching the demo directly via Origin
2) Can you also confirm that Origin is actually still running when you get into ME3 (and that you don't close it).

If you are still experiencing the issue can you provide me with:
1) Your OS (Windows 7 x64 etc)
2) Your Graphics Card (Nvidia 580 GTX etc)
3) The version of Origin you are running. Select the Gear Icon in Origin and then select "About". My version is "8.4.1.210" for instance.

Thanks!

Ok, would you be able to provide the rest of the information requested in my last post? That way, we can have some people here at BioWare try and reproduce your problem.

Thanks!

I had a slight issue with the game crashing at the EA splash screen, fixed it by disabling Origin Ingame notifications.

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit
Origin Version 8.4.1.210 - 132428

Stardozen, I'm getting this exact same issue about not getting a product code. The demo itself does not appear in my game library so there is no information in which to obtain a code :(

Thanks for the information. I'll pass this on to our QA team so they can take a look.
Please post again if you find a workaround or solution, as that information will be helpful for tracking down the root cause.

Same here, Origin is running, but the demo says it's not and gives out only one option, to close the game, while closing there is a slight circling motion in the top-left with the text: communicating.

Hope this gets fixed soon.

If you are seeing this, please provide as much information as you can about your machine and setup.
Also do you have the Origin Overlay Enabled (Gear Icon -> Settings -> In Game -> Enable Origin in Game)? Does disabling it make any difference?

Thanks All.

@JoeHegarty - disabling it doesn't make any difference. Enabled or Disabled, still saying Origin isn't working and will shut down ME demo.

Same problem on:
intel core i3-370M
6gb ram
geforce GT 325M (tried to launch on integrated Intel HD card, nothing has changed)
OS Win 7 Premium (64)
Origin 8.4.1.210 - 132428

I had this same problem. After turning off firewalls and things like that I just decided to restart my computer. After restarting everything worked fine.

Hi Folks,

Please send an email to OriginLogs@ea.com with your Origin log files attached along with a description of the problem you’re experiencing and your Origin ID.

The names of the Origin log files are “Client_log.html” and “ORIGIN_Core_Log.html” and are located either in C:\\ProgramData\\Origin\\Logs (Windows 7) or C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application data\\Origin\\logs (Windows XP). Please note that the directories are hidden in Windows by default.

Please be sure to include your Origin ID (Email) so they can investigate properly.

We're working very hard to resolve this problem and if you could follow those steps it would be helpful.

I've solved the problem thanks to Strike10101's post. All I did was re-install the DEMO, retried playing and it failed, after that, I rebooted the PC and now it works. The demo works now even with the firewall enabled, but maybe the error was due to the first firewall pop-up that asked if the demo is allowed to connect, even if I allowed it, it acted as if not(as if Origin got confused).
Solution: Enable the game to connect to the internet, reboot, play the game:
